Food is awesome. Staff are great. It’s very clean and comfortable. Very relaxing and very good vibe to the place. Staff were beyond helpful and made our trip. Didn’t do the yoga but wish I had. Looked great. Highly recommend. I extended my stay three times.

Absolutely stunning, private, peaceful and relaxing. Our whole stay at Blue Water was perfect, the cabanas are cute, clean and spacious for couples. We couldn’t fault anything. We stayed for my 40th birthday and the team decorated our room, what a lovely surprise on entry. Although there is no air conditioning, the fans in the room are sufficient and the cabanas are designed well with openings for a breeze. Rinos is amazing, he was so attentive and looked after all of our needs. He’s really friendly, a pleasure to meet and an excellent chef. Sudha and Dinosan are both phenomenal, they make sure the whole area around the cabanas are pristine, they take so much pride and leave patterns in the sand for guests. There is a good variety of food, the fresh juices are so tasty. We had breakfast and dinner most days and Rinos catered for our tastes. The beach is private and only a few steps away, most days we were the only ones there, it is paradise. At night we fell asleep to the sound of the waves. Thank you Blue Water you made our stay unforgettable.

Swiss Bay Hotel & Resort Arugam bay: A Fantastic Stay! My recent stay at Swiss Bay Hotel & Resort in Arugambay was absolutely wonderful, and I can't recommend it enough for anyone visiting the area. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making me feel right at home. The rooms are exceptionally clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, providing a perfect sanctuary after a day of exploring. I particularly appreciated the thoughtful touches and the serene atmosphere that allowed for complete relaxation. The location is truly ideal, offering easy access to the beautiful beach and the vibrant local scene, yet providing a peaceful retreat when you want to unwind. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and the room was clean and comfortable. There’s a kitchen with a fridge and cooking facilities, which was great! It’s in a great location, close enough to the beach and restaurants, but far enough from the busy main strip if you want some quiet time. The staff also cooked me the best food on request! Even better than what I had at any restaurant!

    We had a wonderful day at Aprota Villas. The property is stunning and incredibly peaceful. The entire space feels thoughtfully maintained from the gardens to the rooms. The rooms were spacious, spotless and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The Wi-Fi worked very well throughout our stay, and it is not too far from the hotel to the surfing sites that made it so easy to explore the area. The staff were incredibly helpful, always ready to assist with a smile.

    Everything was amazing. Hassan the host is the best. We booked the place at the last minute and we were able to check in right away. Hassan made sure we have everything all the time and even after we left. The location is great right on the beach. Perfect place to relax. Super clean and great service. Would definitely come again. Highly recommend, best hotel in all Sri Lanka.

    Perfect location just steps from the beach and just off the road so there are restaurants and bars a few minutes walk away. Our room was huge with a massive comfortable bed and a big bathroom. We had a fan room. Outside our room we had two chairs to chill out. We didn't have a breakfast deal so we can't comment on that. We ate at Mama's Place nearby which we recommend.

    The host used best way to welcoming. Very clean room and comfortable beds. Friendly manager and staff. Value for money. Free space sitting area out side the room. Very close to near the beach. Good WiFi connection inside the room. I really enjoyed with this place. Hopefully we will come back again. Highly recommended!!

    You are more likely to meet a European than a local here.

    You are more likely to meet a European than a local here. This is definately not a reflection on Sri Lankan culture, however the beach town is slow and quiet (realtively speaking) and there are plenty of shops and restaurants. And of coure, the surf is consistent and the water warm. It's a winner for a beach holiday.

    Can you put correct price online also. Need to clean little bit more. Otherwise 2 big rooms with AC, 1 Non-AC small room, visiting hall. Everything good. Walking distance Restaurant, grocery and clothing shops . Good location.

    The best feature of Arugam Bay is the surrounding jungle, lakes and lagoons. The main beach is very busy but other beaches, such as Peanut Farm are less crowded, Do thye Lagoon Safari and a park safari but also try surfing and relaxing on the beach.
