It is more beautiful a place than the pictures-if that’s possible! We spent 3 days, one just relaxing in the premises and we don’t think we can get over it! The people working are really helpful, really kind and provide you with anything you need. From their welcome until their tips for our departure, they were tireless and obliging. Excellent breakfast and dinner. Also, they can arrange any visit in the nearby monuments and cities with excellent service. Bonus for us: on the day of our departure monkeys were playing outside our room, which we enjoyed so much. Can’t recommend it enough!!!!!

Don and his wife are super hosts! The room and facilities were spotless and very well appointed, comfortable. Location is great & being well off the main road, was very quiet. Don was really helpful with information and advice, and really went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable. We both appreciated our free flow conversations with him greatly, (he has worked with New Zealanders in Dubai and Australia so understands our accents and humour, fantastic for us).

It was only a one-night stay but really a great experience. We were received with a cold drink and even had the chance to go to the lake for a walk and see animals. The dinner was delicious and the next morning the safari was a great experience, we saw leopards and that really made my day. Nice hospitality and good communication in order to make all the plans. Would recommend a stay here without any doubts and Wilpattu is a great National Park.

It was a wonderful opportunity to see a giant squirrel close up. We took some fantastic photos. The room was clean, comfortable and well appointed. It was close to the sacred city. I learned to cook seven delicious Sri Lankan dishes during the cooking class. Highly recommended. .

The owner gave me very accurate advice for every circumstance:) the family is very nice, feel very cozy staying there. Every offer, such as accommodation cost, Tuktuk fee going around ancient city, taxi from airport, are very reasonable that is well-considered for tourist to spend not too much money. I highly recommend this place to everyone :)

    It is one of the best locations, slightly hot and humid, but if you love history and sightseeing, you cannot miss this location, further you can travel to multiple historic locations from here, we travelled to Mihinthale Temple and Mahiyangana, the drive was scenic, but Mihinthale will take your breath.

    Anuradhapura, one of the world's oldest continuously inhabited cities, is a treasure trove of ancient history that stretches back to the 4th century BCE. Established by King Pandukabhaya, it served as the majestic capital of Sri Lanka for over a millennium, playing a pivotal role in the island's Buddhist heritage and cultural evolution. The arrival of Buddhism in Sri Lanka, introduced by Mahinda Thera in the 3rd century BCE, marked a transformative era for Anuradhapura. This led to the creation of awe-inspiring stupas, monastic complexes, and elaborate water reservoirs that showcase the ingenuity of the time. Central to this transformation is the revered Sri Maha Bodhi tree, a sapling believed to have been taken from the very tree under which the Buddha attained enlightenment, which continues to be a powerful pilgrimage site.     Beautiful jungle surrounds. Lots of activities. Safari doesn't tell you about all the extra costs involved. Entry fee big. Tip for animal spotter. The Harabana lake cruise is brilliant. No motor just a gentle paddle, allowing you get up close to wildlife
