- From US$367 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 399 reviewsWe stayed at this hotel for one night and it was perfect. The room was really cool, comfortable and had everything we needed. The restaurant was great and we really liked our breakfast. Two more great things which deserve a special mention are the garden and the tea factory. My girlfriend likes gardening while I’m not a fan and not even an amateur but it is so big and beautiful, you should see it. A tea factory is a great historical site where you can learn something new. We had a guide who told and showed us how tea is made. It is fascinating.Guest review byMaximRussia
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 7.9Good - What previous guests thought, 265 reviewsIncredible experience in Nuwara Eliya! Good location and just nearby the famous Grand Hotel and Victoria Park and has a path to visit. Hill Club is a historical building and worth you spend one-hour to walk around and insight. Room is comfortable, breakfast is good, price-performance ratio is better than Grand Hotel as you can spend high tea and visit the garden there from Hill Club. Staff is kind and helpful. Highly Recommended!Guest review byYUANChina

This place is a gem and we look forward to coming back.Guest review byFrancescaItaly

The manager Mr Nayan Wikramasinghe, the caretakers Mr Seelan and Elango, were simply amazing. They took care of all our needs and went over and above to make our stay memorable. The view and the setting amidst nature is simply the best. Additionally since it is outside Nuwara Eliya, it is away from all the hustle and bustle.Guest review byNiravIndia

A nice area to do a lot of treks amongst the tea plantations . central location if you need to drive up to hill station of Nuwera Eliya or experience the wild life at Horton Plains, A lot of Hindu Kovils to explore in town of Hatton and Tea Factory experience at Dunkeld Tea Factory.Guest review byAkramSri Lanka - 10.0

Besides doing the incredibly beautiful hike to Adams Peak, you can hire a tuktuk driver to guide you to Morey's Waterfall. the best waterfall we got to hike to in Sri lanka, challenging 1 hour hike but you'll get to stroll thru lush tea plantations and walk along side Lake Morey.Guest review byRobertson - 8.0
If you are into budget travel and want a genuine local...
If you are into budget travel and want a genuine local experience, NanuOya is a good town to visit. It’s very close to the main tourist town Nuwara Eliya (approx 9km away) and has buses heading there every 20mins. You can also get there by train. The locals are very helpful and kind. You get a few places to eat food like South Indian dishes and koththu and a few places to buy liquor from. There are two waterfalls and the larger, wider one located inside the Glassough tea estate is a place where you can bathe in on a sunny day. It’s a lovely little town surrounded by tea estates!Guest review byLakshikaSri Lanka - 8.0
Maskeliya is a market town which could be lot more .
Maskeliya is a market town which could be lot more .The hilly terrain is a planners dream. I imagine the buildings painted pastal pink and yellow, flower pots hanging from the eves, it could be a destination rather than a quick stop to buy supplies on the way to elsewhere as is now.Guest review byVindhyaSri Lanka - 10.0

Nuwara Eliya’s weather is quite different from most of Sri...
Nuwara Eliya’s weather is quite different from most of Sri Lanka due to its high elevation. Unlike the tropical heat in the lowlands, it has a cool, misty, and unpredictable climate. Temperatures can drop below 10°C at night, and rain showers are common even during sunny days. Before traveling, it’s best to: Check the weather forecast for rain, fog, or sudden temperature drops. Pack warm clothing, as evenings and mornings can be chilly. Carry an umbrella or light raincoat, since showers are frequent. Plan outdoor activities (like visiting tea estates, Horton Plains, or Gregory Lake) for clearer parts of the day. “We visited on rainy days, which made it impossible to see the main attractions, as most of the time it was foggy.”Guest review byAsangaUnited Arab Emirates - 10.0

Do not climb on Saturdays as you will most probably not be able to reach the top. It was over-crowded and the path is narrow the last 500 meters. Got stuck in one spot for 45 minutes and decided to turn around. Still got amazing views though and the experience of local pilgrimage which was a privilege!Guest review byValentineSwitzerland - 10.0
If you want to experience the coldest weather in Sri Lanka,...
If you want to experience the coldest weather in Sri Lanka, Nuwara Eliya is the place to be. Often called “Little England” due to its colonial charm, this hill town offers beautiful scenery and plenty of attractions. Gregory Lake is a highlight, perfect for a relaxing walk or a boat ride. Having your own transport (ideally a 4x4) makes it easier to explore the surrounding hills and hidden routes. The town also has great spots to eat, drink, and enjoy warm hospitality. Don’t miss a visit to one of the colonial hotels that once hosted many famous figures, including Queen Elizabeth II in 1954. A must-visit destination in the heart of Sri Lanka’s hills!Guest review byThivankaVSri Lanka
