Our stay at Olinda Galle was simply perfect! The property is stunning, with a truly special swimming pool. The garden is beautiful and well-maintained, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The room decor was elegant and thoughtfully designed, adding to the charm of the place. On top of that, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. Everything was flawless—we couldn’t have asked for a better stay! Highly recommended.

A fantastic place right by the ocean. The hotel staff, along with the hotel manager and the hotel's four-paw manager, made us feel right at home from the very moment our car pulled up to the entrance. We spent five wonderful days in this amazing place. The rooms were very nice, with a beautiful sea view. The breakfasts were delicious, and the staff was incredibly friendly. The surf school was excellent, with a fantastic instructor. There was no problem with having a later breakfast due to surfing lessons. Additionally, there were options to book extra trips or take a tuk-tuk ride. We would love to come back again!

A very stylish and welcoming hotel with really helpful and attentive staff. Madusha, Hirantha and the team could not have been more helpful. Nice large room and a good sized swimming pool. The beach club restaurant and beach are beautifully set out. Overall, a great place to stay for a few days.

Breakfast wasn't included but there are so many eateries within a few minutes walk away. The location couldn't have been better within Galle Fort. It was a very gracious & stylish villa to stay in. The room & bathroom are huge with clean, fluffy white towels provided daily. The manager, Mr Azwaan, and his assistant, Ashan, made us feel like honoured guests. They made our stay comfortable and relaxing.

Perfect place for a relaxing vacation. The design of the hotel is stunning, staff very friendly and helpful, spoiled us during all our stay. We enjoyed our time so much the time spent at Villa Thamburu and we thought to expend few more days but we had work duty and was not possible. The suite Pedro, our accommodation, was extremely comfortable and perfect for a romantic time! Food was good and hotel very clean. The public beach outside is beautiful but not suitable for swimming however we enjoyed our lazy chill in the hotel beach and pool.

    The pool was gorgeous and so much fun, and the tour around the plantation was great and very interesting - my little boy (aged 10) loved it. Our room was amazing, an upstairs room with a mezzanine floor and a window that looked out onto jungle - we saw black monkeys there, as well as elsewhere on the site, and there were so many kingfishers! (A couple of our wildlife shots from the site are added here.) The staff, like everyone in Sri Lanka, were all beautiful people who always went out of their way to help you. We will definitely return!

The New Year’s Eve party was exceptionally well-organized, from the stunning decorations and music to the lavish catering, with all praise going to the staff. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the food is excellent, and the beach and pools are clean and well-maintained, with plenty of sun loungers for relaxation.     All sea view rooms and the room we stayed in was very spacious . A few minutes walk to jungle beach. The staff was friendly and even made arrangements to get our meals sorted. There is a kitchen and if we bring the raw materials we can even cook on our own , just need to pay them for the space we use. Over all I enjoyed unwatuna because it was conveniently located too.

    We did not venture into Bentota.

    We did not venture into Bentota. We are expats living in Colombo so no need to explore the city. The hotel was at the right spot for a 100% relaxing weekend away with no distractions. The ocean is not that swimmable as the sea was very rough and looked dangerous. The pool was a welcome alternative. We drove to Galle for the Saturday to watch the game between Springboks and Kiwis. That was not too far, one hour away and a very scenic route. The hotel was also fully booked so must be popular.

    The place is so nice to walk around it’s full of amazing cafes , restaurants and small boutiques. All the restaurants are offering grey food and amazing view. The people are so friendly and it safe place. P

    There are so many locations to see.good peoples are around & very safe are. I like the place & the area.i had great time durig the vacation.I guess that threre is 1km around to the beach & also there is a logoon.i have experience the boat safari at the lake. I wish if i could stay few more days to enjoy.

    A little town which is friendly colourful with plenty of shops for anything you need …only issue is that like every town in Sri Lanka there is a problem with waste ( plastic bottles) There are several resteraunts and lots of lovely cake shops :-) Everything is very cheap ..food , tuk tuk , train ..and clothes are an outstanding bargain to any visitor Overall a lovely place for great holiday

    Great beach, we felt like Robinson Crusoe on the beach, almost just the 2 of us. Visiting Mahdu Lake at 6 a.m. watching the sun goes up. A natural paradise with a lot of birds and other animals. Listening to their different noises. Dining at the Mangrove Cave Restaurant we enjoyed freshest seafood. It was just very tasty.

    My favourite place was the turtle hatchery.

    My favourite place was the turtle hatchery. Most meals were eaten at the Hotel. Very easy to get around. There is a tour agency opposite the hotel entrance, it cant get any better than that. It is easy to take tuk tuk or van taxis. Superior beach front view. Beautiful gardens and swimming pool. Well done to the management and staff for this top class facility. Local fishermen were easy to approach and social chat with.
