An amazing hotel in Kandy, with brand-new, luxurious facilities. Truly speechless. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the staff was attentive. Breakfast was delicious, with six different options to choose from. The hotel is a little removed from the center of Kandy, so transportation by taxi, tuk-tuk, or private driver is recommended, totally worth it, though!

It is a new hotel, a hidden gem with a great view in the middle of the city. The restaurant is not operative yet, but the manager was nice enough to provide us with vegetarian breakfast and dinner home cooked at the owner's house. The staff was helpful throughout the day and night whenever we had any problems. The rooms are very modern and very well laid our for comfort with a beautiful balcony with a great view.

Great place overall. Was met pleasenlty by hotel staff who took our luggage down to apartment. Sana is a great manager, took care of us on arrival, made us nice luch and dinner since we arrived that day tired and were in hotel whole day. Swimming pool is nice also.

This hotel has many things that are to be recommended. Excellent staff who are professional, courteous and extremely helpful. In particular, Pradeep who is exceptionally good, has wonderful customer service and is hardworking. He is very knowledgable too and his recommendations are great!! The rooms are immaculate, spacious, modern, tastefully designed and decorated. The view from our room was breathtaking and spectacular. We look forward to visiting this wonderful hotel. It's worth the trip !!

    Everything: room, view, personal, dishes, location. It's a fabulous place! We arrived here right from Colombo airport, the trip was hard but worthy: we met sunrise in mountains, the views were spectacular, monkeys came to our balcony early at the morning. Hotel gives you the best accommodation in that region with ability to visit most of the sight seenings in about 2-3 hours of taxi ride range (there are a lot of drivers using PickMe App). No need to wake up at 3:00 a.m. like in Weligama, Mirissa, etc. Clean pool allows to relax after a day trip and get sunbath. Dishes were various, set menu for lunch is a master piece! Ala-card menu either. Staff were very friendly and helpful! Absolute recommend to stay, book mountains view rooms!

    The hotel is really lovely especailly if you appreciate historic architecture, the location is perfect, the staff were amazing and the room was clean and comfy. The shower might be the best I've ever had, great water pressure and temps. Having a fan on the balcony/terrace outside was a really nice touch. The wifi was great most of the time and only a few times toward the later evening did it go slow briefly, a mix of storms and lots of users I think. When we checked in, our first room had a problem with AC, we called reception, and they sent an engineer immediately to fix it but rather than make us wait, they gave us a free room upgrade. The lake in front of the hotel is teeming with wildlife and makes for a really nice walk.

    Authenticity is something hard to find in the hotelier business. But there's no lack of it at Cinnamon citadel. Place was exceptionally clean, staff were immensely helpful at every point. Authentic srilankan cuisine has never come close to perfection. Services offered were flexible and payment didn't feel like a headache. Perfect for families and couples looking to find some peace.

    Kandy is a very busy city!

    Kandy is a very busy city! We ended up having to spend 3 nights there due to trying to get a train booking to Kandy, however we felt that 1 night, max 2 would have been enough. You can get round all the main attractions in a day so you don't need to spend too much time. Don't book tickets through a third party as you are not guaranteed them (we were told the day before we didn't have tickets!) so just turn up early to the station and you'll get a ticket for the train - though no guarantee of a seat!

    We lived here as children.

    We lived here as children. Our father taught at Zahira College. We had contacted them and they received is kindly and showed us around. We found the house where we lived and the lady there was very friendly. Our father's friend's son and daughter gave us lunch at their resort. All that was great.

    We had a fantastic stay at Symphony Homes during our visit to Kandy. The villa looks exactly like the photos — modern, very clean, spacious, and beautifully maintained. The peaceful location was perfect, yet only a short drive to Kandy city and major attractions. The private garden was lovely to relax in, and the fully equipped kitchen made our stay even more comfortable. The host was extremely friendly and helpful, always quick to respond and made sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommended for families, couples, or anyone looking for a peaceful private villa in Kandy!

    Our stay at Royal Mountain Edge, Knuckles from 16/05/2025 was an unforgettable experience! It began with a guided hike organized by the team, tailored perfectly to our preferences. The hike was magnificent, with an excellent and caring guide. The packed lunch provided during the hike was both delicious and energy-packed—just what we needed. After the hike, we returned to Royal Mountain Edge, where we enjoyed a refreshing dip in the infinity pool followed by warm tea and local snacks. In the evening, they surprised us with a cozy bonfire, serving local brews as we warmed ourselves by the flames. For dinner, the BBQ platter was absolutely delicious and satisfying. The silence time began at 11:00 PM, but until then, we immersed ourselves in the serene forest surroundings and its enchanting nightlife. The rooms were spacious, cozy, and impeccably clean, offering a perfect retreat after an adventurous day. The next morning, we woke up early to watch the sunrise near the pool, accompanied by a hot cup of coffee graciously served by the staff. Breakfast was a delightful spread of local delicacies, including milk rice, lunu miris, chicken curry, and fresh fruits.     We reached Kandy after completing tour of pinnawala and ambulawa towers. We also visited Mahabodhi Vihara , from where Kandy lake had a good view. The shopping market at Kandy closed by 7pm, may we missed that.

    It was a visit to Ride Viharaya, and All Viharaya Rock temples in Central Sri Lanka. We did not stay long to visit All Lena (there Place where Thiptaka was originally written on Ola leaves) and Nalanda Gedige (Geographical centre of Sri Lanka)
