Beautiful old hotel with lovely facilities. No elevator but you get to ascend to your room up gorgeous old wooden stairs-so much character. Room is spacious and spotlessly clean. Beautiful view from the window-it was like being in a storybook. Breakfast was home made and lovely. We arrived by car and there was a parking spot close by for 15euros. I would recommend sailing at this hotel!

Breakfast was amazing, small hotel which felt like a home. What I also liked a lot was the staff was super friendly during our visit. Dinner was unbelievable in this hotel restaurant, probably best dinner I have ever ate in Luxemburg, prices in restaurant varies from 7-25€.

After confirming the position It turns out that the special sign for the disabled has been erased due to use and is difficult to see at night. Therefore, please inform the hotel management of placing phosphorous and stinging signalsI hope that you will contact the hotel management and ask them to pay this fine because the responsibility falls on them and Credit my account

    We had a magical stay with the most amazing New Year Dinner. The restaurant food is very very good. The breakfast buffet was a wonderful sight, delicious with everything you could possibly want! The hotel decor is visually interesting and uplifting. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The village of Ayl is a pretty rural setting and well worth a visit.

    It's a wonderful place.

    It's a wonderful place. Luxembourg City itself can be explored in a day or two, so if you're planning a longer stay, be sure to rent a car and explore the rest of this magnificent country. Luxembourg City is beautiful, clean, and safe. It's worth walking around the impressive fortifications, seeing the cathedral, the ducal palace (open in summer), and the beautiful townhouses. If you have more time, you can visit the museums: I especially recommend the Municipal Museum and Fort Thüngen. An unforgettable experience!

    We technically stayed in Orscholz, which is a smaller hamelt of Mettlach. It's right where the Saarschleife is as well as a number of biking and hiking trails. We only did the Saarschleife and the Spielplatz, but could have spent a couple days there!

Home to the only casino and the only spa and fitness center in the Grand Duchy, it benefits from all the advantages of a big city: -Everything close to home, -Easily accessible by public transport, -Many leisure and recreational opportunities, -Fascinating architecture and cultural heritage, -Many shops, A wide selection of hotels and restaurants.     Our family visit to Luxembourg was truly memorable. The city is spotless, beautifully organized, and incredibly easy to get around thanks to its free and efficient public transportation. Everywhere we went, we were met with friendliness and warmth from the locals, which made our stay even more enjoyable Highlights included the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Grand Ducal Palace, Place Guillaume II, and especially the Bock Casemates — a fascinating UNESCO World Heritage site that takes you deep into the city’s history. The panoramic Pfaffenthal Elevator offered breathtaking views of the valley and old town, while the Melusina statue reminded us of the city’s magical legends. Luxembourg may be small, but it is rich in culture, history, and charm. A hidden gem in Europe that we would highly recommend to any traveler looking for a mix of history, beauty, and modern comfort.

    Mettlach is a charming small town in Germany with many good shops. The church is also impressive. There are a lot of very nice hikes easily accessible from there offering tranquility and interesting landscape alongside the river Saar, for example. Burg Montclair, the remains of a castle on the hill, is also accessible and you can get coffee and cake until the end of October.

    A quiet place with all we needed.

    A quiet place with all we needed. A good place to do sightseeing, by bike, on foot, by car. Great place to be in the garden as well. Not a lot of eating places but the kitched is well equiped. You can easily cycle into Luxembourgh or France.

    This is an upscale spa where guests can go to get away from it all and get pampered in a variety of ways with excellent food and all the necessary comforts. We used it as our home base to see family and attend the Formula 1 at Spa Franchorchamps. It is totally suitable for spa activities, just staying at a wonderful hotel for other reasons, and to get away from it all.
