We were greeted with a welcome glass of fizz and informed of all the facilities. We had a two bedroom suite with a huge terrace. The rooms are very stylish and comfortable. Each guest is given a spa bag with robe and towels included to use during their stay. The spa has everything you need for a relaxing health break, a good selection of treatments are also available to book. Refreshments such as teas and juices are available in the spa free of charge, the spa area is very serene. Included in our package was a four course evening meal, which you could upgrade to five course, the food was really delicious. The hotel also offers an extensive wine menu to suit all budgets. The following morning at breakfast we were welcomed to our table and served a homemade ginger and apple shot. The selection of breakfast food available was extensive and again was delicious. It's a wonderful place.
It's a wonderful place. Luxembourg City itself can be explored in a day or two, so if you're planning a longer stay, be sure to rent a car and explore the rest of this magnificent country. Luxembourg City is beautiful, clean, and safe. It's worth walking around the impressive fortifications, seeing the cathedral, the ducal palace (open in summer), and the beautiful townhouses. I only stayed 1 night, so I didn't get to really dive in to what makes Remich tick. It was a quaint little town with a large waterfront area that was fun to walk around. Our family visit to Luxembourg was truly memorable. The city is spotless, beautifully organized, and incredibly easy to get around thanks to its free and efficient public transportation. Everywhere we went, we were met with friendliness and warmth from the locals, which made our stay even more enjoyable Highlights included the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Grand Ducal Palace, Place Guillaume II, and especially the Bock Casemates — a fascinating UNESCO World Heritage site that takes you deep into the city’s history. The panoramic Pfaffenthal Elevator offered breathtaking views of the valley and old town, while the Melusina statue reminded us of the city’s magical legends. Luxembourg may be small, but it is rich in culture, history, and charm. Mettlach is a charming small town in Germany with many good shops. The church is also impressive. There are a lot of very nice hikes easily accessible from there offering tranquility and interesting landscape alongside the river Saar, for example. This is an upscale spa where guests can go to get away from it all and get pampered in a variety of ways with excellent food and all the necessary comforts. We used it as our home base to see family and attend the Formula 1 at Spa Franchorchamps.
