Everything looks new, shiny and extremely clean. 2. Family room is perfect for 2 adults + 1 kid, there's a door separating the 2 areas. Big balcony. Comfortable beds. Our room was on the 9th floor with an awesome view of the endless pine forest. 3. Good AC. Elevators work great. 4. Nice staff, polite and always helpful. 5. Pool and SPA area - the cleanest Spa I've ever been to. Big 25 m, 3 corridor pool great for swimming (training), not just relaxing. Loved that time at the pool/spa was not limited. 6. Big private parking (paid). But there are also free parking spots near the hotel. 7. Location - Beautiful quiet area, 3 min walk to a gorgeous beach (Bulduri). You need to take the car to visit Jurmala, but I loved staying in this quieter area. The beach is also more wild and natural, than that in Jurmala. Water is very shallow. 8. Outdoor playground. Paid indoor playground. 9. Restaurant: delicious food, nice staff, loved taking our meals here. Kids menu is great. Kids play corner in the restaurant is awesome, with lots of toys. 9. The room was very spacious, the bed was comfortable, pillows and blankets perfect. Good size bathrom. The cherry on top was the spa. Not only the saunas and pool, but also the programs that are offered by qualified staff. We took salt room, foot massage, back massage, lymph drainage, and all were great. The Old Liepaja is a gem boasting old and Jugend architecture. The city offers many music events on its numerous sites. There are also many catering options in different budget ranges. You can just walk around or travel by car; parking rates are extremely low in the city centre. The most exciting experience was visiting local churches and the underground art gallery near to Rožu laukums. There is spa available for day pass £25 for adult for 2.5 hours in Jurmala Spa hotel. No need to book in, walk in welcome. Excellent facilities and kids friendly lots to do. I went twice wile on my trip. Lots of lovely restaurants, bubs and shops to explore for all liking. We visited off season so it was nice and quiet with only a few guests in our hotel and Cape Kolka, nature trails, etc were not busy Since it is off season, it was difficult to get dinner as most restaurants and pubs were closed. Have been there probably 5 times, different properties and not always staying the night, sometimes just for a walk, sometimes for lunch, sometimes for the beach or for forest walk. Lilaste is for those who appreciate nature and don't want the pretentious wannabe posh style of Jurmala, but instead just to relax and feel nature and tranquility around you. They have to update information on Booking.com. Check-in in fact is until 17.00 not 21.00, check-out time is incorrect (there is no one in the morning) I arrived at 19.00 and had to leave early around 8.00, there was no one at the registration desk), no info on Wi-Fi access, no breakfast, that was included in price, and, in general, very poor communication with staff by phone. Ventspils - city by the sea, which has Blue flag beach. It is not very crowded even in hot summer days. It is Baltic sea, it can be cold even in summer, it depends on the weather. But there are very nice sandy beaches. The city Ventspils - cozy city with many flowers, many parks for kids to play or just walk in the nature for anybody. Open air waterpark for kids.
