I was looking for some “me time”, not a surfer, just wanted a laid back peaceful place to relax in and walk along the beach. La Maison des Vagues is SO perfect for this. Comfortable, cozy, lots of different spaces, great food, fab staff, a pool and they can organize all the activities like surfing/horse/dromedary rides, quads, visits to Essaouira (recommend), yoga and massages. Really mixed crowd from families with young kids to groups of same sex friends, older couples and a few Moroccan families too - such a nice atmosphere, gracefully curated by Christèle and Christophe, with their right hand woman Soukaina who is ACE! Thank you to all the team for delivering exactly what I was looking for.

We had a really memorable two-night stay at Dar Danse, and we cannot recommend it highly enough! From the moment we arrived, Julie’s warm and accommodating nature made us feel completely at home. Amin was incredible with our son, going above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and cared for. The massage and hammam experience were a nice touch. The team even thoughtfully scheduled it so I could enjoy the sunset with my family in between treatments! When our son got tired before dinner arrived, the staff graciously brought the meal to our room without hesitation. Their kindness and attentiveness were deeply appreciated. Dar Danse is stunning. The property itself is filled with charm, from the inviting smell of incense throughout to the cozy fire indoors (a lovely touch in January) and the fire pits outside that create a magical atmosphere in the evenings. The quiet beaches are literally just a stone’s throw away at the end of the lovely gardens. Animal lovers will be happy here with donkeys, a horse, many dogs (which you are encouraged to take for a walk). Also Chameleons and Mr CousCous the cat! If you can, we highly recommend booking the big rooftop room. The 360-degree panoramic views are simply breathtaking, and waking up to that scenery from bed was a dream. The food was exceptional and fussy kids can be well accommodated. Every meal felt like a treat. Dar Danse is a truly special place, and we left feeling really nourished. Thank you, Julie, Amin, and the whole team for an unforgettable stay! We hope to return soon.

    Absolutely the most beautiful hotel with amazing design and decor, incredible bed, so luxurious and comfortable you felt like a sultan stepping into the room and being in it. The bathroom was stunningly beautiful too. Amazing bathtub and sink. The hammam, spa and massage was wonderful, and the restaurant, Riad and rooftop (with sea view) fantastic. Lovely airflow through the rooms, luxurious long curtains flowing with the breeze over our bed, Mumtaz Mahal is a place you want to spend a lifetime in. And the staff are so LOVELY! Especial thanks to Nouhaila at reception for her warm, helpful, gorgeous personality and service, and her lovely colleague on the other day at reception too. The place was spotless so huge thanks to the cleaning staff as well for making our stay so wonderful.

    Everything! From the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed by Salima. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean and all have a magnificent sea view either from the balcony or the rooftop. Food at the restaurant was great - the menu is changing every day with fresh produce and good variety (kudos to the kitchen team led by chef Nizar and the service team led by Redouane). Big thanks also to Soukaina for the hike recommendations - breathtaking views from the viewpoint and lovely trail. Great hospitality in an amazing secluded location. Will definitely come back!

    There's some local shops about 7 mins from the hotel, but you would need a taxi/ car to visit. Quite basic shops/coffee places for a more authentic village experience, but the main attraction is Essaouira which is a further 10 mins by car.

    The Medina is well worth the trip.

    The Medina is well worth the trip. Lots of places to eat and very easy to get around. Fresh fish restaurants can be found everywhere. Vibrant! The beach is very good. You feel totally safe here. Everyone is very helpful.
