- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very good - What previous guests thought, 12 reviewsThe location was just perfect. Nestled among the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi, of all the desert camps we saw when doing activities. Merzouga Luxury Desert Camps had the very best location. The staff went out of their way to help us enjoy our stay in the Sahara Desert. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they answered our every question. They were extremely polite, welcoming and kind and made our stay memorable. All the activities we wanted to do such as camel trekking and Quad biking were right there at our finger tips and organised by the staff whenever we requested something. The camp was so peaceful and the ambience in the desert was surreal. I would recommend a two night stay so you don’t have to rush away and can enjoy the peace and quiet of the desert in a leisurely way.Guest review byVincentAustralia
- From US$211.41 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.2Good - What previous guests thought, 213 reviewsWe had a nice stay overall. The hotel was clean and comfortable, with all the basic amenities we needed. It’s conveniently located near minimarkets, which was great for quick purchases. A particularly nice touch was the presence of a sandbox/play area for kids—it made it easier to relax while the little ones had fun. The property has good features like a dual shower and dryer, although the bathroom space was a bit tight. There were also a few ants near the entrance, which could be improved. Still, the positives outweighed the small issues, and we appreciated the thoughtful family-friendly setup. Would recommend for families looking for a practical and comfortable stay.Guest review byKabeerUnited States
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.6Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 150 reviewsEverythis was perfect! Amazing location, luxury tent with aircondition, perfect if you're visiting in winter, as we did. Food was amazing and the portion was really big! But most importantly, the guys who work there were exceptionally welcoming and helpful. They made us feel at home and we will definitely come back for longer! After dinner we enjoyed their music with bonfire. Eventhough we loved everything in Morocco, this stay was the highlight of our trip!Guest review byIvanaCroatia
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.8Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 369 reviewsWe stayed at this desert hotel and had an amazing time. The manager was extremely welcoming and helpful — he even helped us book a desert tour, which was a fantastic experience. There's great parking near the hotel, the rooms were clean and spacious, and the food was excellent. At night, the stars were absolutely breathtaking. 10/10, highly recommend!Guest review bySergeiSerbia
- From US$62.37 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.1Very good - What previous guests thought, 366 reviewsFantastic location, right by the castle walls. Lots of open spaces, gardens, and great views over the city. The bed was super comfortable, the room was light and airy and the open top terrace on the floor above (also a cafe) was beautiful. The staff were really helpful and stored our bikes for us safely inside the building.Guest review byAndrewUnited Kingdom
- From US$187.92 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.5Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 1,142 reviewsThe camp is located right at the edge of erg chebbi. There are quite a few activities (we did the 3h tour + lunch, ATV and cammel trekking). We were charged fairly for them as per previous agreement. The tent was very comfortable. Hassan who was there daily and took us on activities was extremely friendly.Guest review byTiagoPortugal

This Auberge Les Roches is like a peaceful oasis in Merzouga. The atmosphere is calm, the rooms are spotless, and the beds are very comfortable. Interesting medina, market and main square.
Interesting medina, market and main square. Short (free) visit to mausoleum is main event, otherwise not a lot to do. Probably 1 day/night is sufficient. Use as a base for half day visit to Volubolis. Limited decent restaurants , most are in Riads. A restaurant with a terrace with nice views exists on inside of gateway near main gateGuest review byPaulUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Midelt was an interesting town/city.
Midelt was an interesting town/city. There is lots to explore there. We enjoyed wandering around the souk. Sitting at the foot of the mountains it is quite beautiful in the changing light. Midelt feels that it is well looked after and maintained compared to other cities and towns we have visited in Morocco.Guest review byArthaAustralia - 10.0

Peculiar European style roof houses for sliding the melted ice, calm, quiet and very comfortable hotels available, especially I highly recommend MICHLIFEN RESORT. Hotel staff was very obedient, punctual. Hotel surrounding, forest tour by walk.. Deep inside, a visit to a small lake for a short picnic, smaller town comparatively and a short centre ville visit are special moments in 4 days visit. A retirement town. I breathed most clean air in the whole of my life. Very clean town.. I always used to rate some rural area of Sub Saharan Africa as the best for good air quality but now my new option is IFRANE of this beautiful country "MOROCCO".Guest review byJayant PALNITKARIndia - 10.0

It was the perfect place for us to meet and get some rest the night before heading to Merzouga! Hassan is a lovely person and was super helpful in getting to and from his home. His home is extremely clean and spacious. Hassan was a great host! I would highly recommend his home.Guest review byDestiny MarieUnited States - 6.0
Not much happening in this town.
Not much happening in this town. Hard to find good restaurants. Most places seem to serve fast food. Probably the biggest draw is the proximity to Ifrane National Park and the famous Barbary macaques. They are easily spotted on the road N13 leading into town mainly because people like to feed them there so there are plenty to see.Guest review byJamesUnited States - 10.0
had an unforgettable stay at this beautiful mountain hotel.
had an unforgettable stay at this beautiful mountain hotel. The views were absolutely breathtaking — waking up to the sight of mist rolling over the peaks was like a dream. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, always ready with a smile and helpful tips for exploring the area. My room was cozy, spotless, and perfectly blended modern comfort with rustic charm. The food at the on-site restaurant was delicious, especially after a day of hiking. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for peace, nature, and a touch of luxury. Can’t wait to come back!Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Very authentic city but lacking nice restaurants that felt clean. In the newer area there was a great place called Le Stream. Favorite places were the music museum and mausoleum. Petit Taxis were reasonably priced and made getting around the city inexpensive and easy.Guest review byDonnaCanada - 8.0
This place has the feel of a rough and ready desert town.
This place has the feel of a rough and ready desert town. It has a variety of people who live here, and was dry as a bone when we stayed. We were hoping to hike the surrounding countryside but couldn’t get it together so walked around the various neighbourhoods. This turned out to be a great experience. We found a very interesting Berber village, a completely unexpected Catholic monastery, and a very bizarre but beautiful guesthouse. We were surprised by this town and think that you might be too.Guest review byMarilyn ToppCanada
