The best thing about the accommodation is 100% the staff. The owners are extremely friendly, open and helpful. If you need a tip for activities in the area or anything else, you will be helped immediately. Many thanks especially to Lazar for his hospitality. The rooms are very nicely furnished and you sleep in these beds like in heaven. The cleaning staff are also very friendly and always in a good mood. You can spend the whole day relaxing by the pool. You can be in Budva within 10 minutes by taxi, it's nice and quiet up here compared to the lively town. The journey from the hotel to the city costs around 10 euros, make sure you agree on a fixed price before setting off, otherwise the taxi drivers will try to rip you off.

    Resort is perfect for family vacation, expecially with baby room staff, they really took care of our 8month baby in the nice playground, they are open from 10 to 12 and from 4pm to 6pm, and in the evening they were babysitting our 2 year son, so many thanks to Ivana, Teodora and Vasilisa. There is also for 3+ years kids club with lot activities. Also to mention that we had luck to meat Tanja on reception, she was really kind and one of the reasons that we will come back soon 😊 She was wiling to explain us everything in detail, which is important so you can organize day in the best way and as you need to make reservations for dinner in restaurants if you are in premium part.     Great place (hard to find in a city where half of the flats are not air-conditioned or smell musty). Wonderful host! There is AC, kettle for a morning cup of coffee, fridge with freezer (salvation in this heat). And, of course, the view from the balcony! When we come back, we will definitely stay here.

    Beautiful old town, essential to take a boat trip along the bay to view the majestic mountains. The cable car is also a great activity, not only do you get a view of Kotor Bay but when you get to the top there is a lot to explore. The roads are very busy so it takes a while to get around. Essential to book a taxi before you arrive at the airport as the taxis from there are very expensive. Absolutely amazing scenery. Very busy old town as cruise liners arrive daily.

    We enjoyed the size of the resort, small enough to walk around with lots of small shingle beaches where it was easy to enter the sea for safe swimming. The grocery shops were well stocked with reasonably priced fresh produce. A good variety of boat trips were available. The local transport was somewhat problematic with no proper timetables even online. We would have travelled around more if we knew what time the bus should come.

    Ulcinj beach area is for the most part quite dirty and littered. There are people prepared to scam you readily. We did like the fortress area and found a cleaner beach near there (Liman Beach) that we quite liked.

    I visited both Tivat and Kotor, but the Herceg Novi area is definitely the best place to stay around the Bay of Kotor: the most beautiful, cleanest, calmest, nicest vibe, better price level (e.g. accommodation, restaurants, etc.).

    I'm afraid my impression of Bar was that it was industrial, a bit ugly and not very well looked after.(Sorry Bar, maybe I didn't go to the right places!) Wanting to visit places that are not yet wholly given over to tourism, is a two edged sword; it means that the 'pretty views' are often obscured by something utilitarian and not pretty! I took a taxi boat to Sutomore beach, which was a lovely trip and incredibly good value. The beach and water was fabulous but I think every person in the whole of Montenegro had had the same idea and the beach was extremely crowded. My reason for visiting Bar was to do the train journey from Bar to Belgrade, which I had read was one of the most beautiful in Europe. It did not disappoint and made me forgive Bar everything!

    From the sveti stefan bus stop, it’s very easy to get around, buses to Budva Old Town run every 20 minutes, cost €2.5 one way, and take about 20 minutes. Taxi from Tivat airport is around €55–60 and takes about 40 minutes. For food, we often bought frozen homemade dishes from a Ukrainian shop in Budva, which were really tasty.
