Nice area at the heart of the 3 cities.
Nice area at the heart of the 3 cities. While the surroundings are similar to Valetta, there is less tourists and more tranquility. Valetta is 2,5Euros and less than 10 minutes away with the ferry that runs every 30'. Plenty of water front eateries, cafes and bars. Not to miss.Guest review byTDARGreece - 10.0

We explored the maze of local streets, where traffic levels are very low, and every house has a colourful wooden balcony. We located a couple of places where you can swim from the rocky shoreline, and enjoyed several local ice-cream outlets. Fort St Angelo was worth a visit of several hours, with awesome views of the Grand Harbour, and we also visited the Inquisitor's Palace, learning the sinister side of Malta's religious history.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
Great base for exploring the three cities and Valletta,...
Great base for exploring the three cities and Valletta, Senglea was more relaxing than a stay in Valletta but had great transport links to and from Valletta, with Senglea being one of the three cities the other two were adjoined and therefore accessible either on foot or by taxi. There was a good variety of restaurants and all very reasonably priced, we never had a bad meal during our stay. Places we ate at and would recommend were Aroy-d-Fusion, Il-Pirata, Il-Hnejja and Novita,Guest review byBill 33United Kingdom - 10.0
Loved the little streets and the marina.
Loved the little streets and the marina. It was nice to walk around and look at all the super yachts moored there. The lovely square in the centre has cafes and restaurants as well as small shops and a bus stop. There is also the Malta at War Museum, the Inquisitors palace and the Fort which overlooks Valletta harbour. All worth a visit .Guest review byAnnUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Cospicua is a purely residential area.
Cospicua is a purely residential area. No tourist crowds, no loud bars or noisy restaurants. But within 10 minutes by foot you will reach the harbour front and the areas with restaurants and bars. Friendly people. Little alleys, many stairs (as everywhere on Malta). Perfect place to relax after a day of walking and doing sight-seeing.Guest review byUlrikeGermany - 10.0

We loved Vittoriosa - or Bergu, to give it its local name.
We loved Vittoriosa - or Bergu, to give it its local name. It's full of history, the local people are incredibly friendly, and it's a great place from which to explore the rest of the island. We didn't have a car - Vittoriosa has a lot of very narrow cobbled streets, not car-friendly - a plus as far as we were concerned! If you're interested in Malta's history, stay here.Guest review byCarolineUnited Kingdom - 6.0
Cospicua is a place for quiet people.
Cospicua is a place for quiet people. It is a good base for travelling. Ferry to Valletta is good there and back. Bormla has buses to everywhere. A round island tour is great for sightseeing and you see more. The fruits confections and bakeries are very very succulent. I liked the soil in Malta`s fields with people in them and crops, a great change from Spanish islands bare lava environment.Guest review byJohnUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Much of Malta can be crowded and noisy.
Much of Malta can be crowded and noisy. Birgu is quiet in terms of people but still has all the old streets and architecture and restaurants to enjoy. More relaxing, with so much centred on the harbour. The ferry to Valletta goes every half an hour so it is still well connected.Guest review byJulianAustria
