General: Exceptional hotel! For our joint family of 9 we've got 5 double rooms with garden view, close to one another - the rooms are always clean, very well furnished and equipped with everything you need. They were pretty well sound-proof and air conditioner was quiet. Regardless which room you take - the garden view is great from each corner, very exotic. Food: At each meal there's always big choice of meat/fish/veggie/vegan options, to any taste, grilled, steamed, cooked. Fruits were plenty and fresh, desserts of any kind - tartes, soufflé, ice cream, pancakes, jams. Many options of wines and cocktails, rum. The 2 restaurants, besides the one with buffet, are very fine - you should definitely go there too! Activities: The location on Mauritius is much more quiet and relaxed than in the north/west, the nearby beach is both good for swimming and snorkeling (lots of fish in the northern part). The staff also brings cold drinks in a cart right there. The beach is safe and guarded (not that it was ever needed). The hotel offers many free activities each day - boat tours, yoga & pilates on the beach, games (pool, darts, table tennis, beach football), weekly live music & dance shows. Weddings: we were travelling for our wedding, but booked the rooms before knowing that the hotel offers several wedding packages. The managers have promptly helped us organize everything we could have dreamed about! The places at the beach and in hotel's gardens are perfect for ceremony and photos, the arch and flowers could be decorated with flowers of any choice. The organizers Reena and Avinesh were very kind and attentive to our needs, made us many suprises and gifts, that realy made the day most special (many thanks!). They also offered a photographer that was really professional, and we received all pictures after just 3 days and a unique album!

The hotel is on the stunning Belle Mare beach with its long stretch of soft white sand, this boutique hotel offers a perfect mix of romance, calm, and comfort. The atmosphere was peaceful and beautifully designed—especially the beach area, where palm trees and charming smaller trees offered just the right amount of shade over the sunbeds. What truly made our stay exceptional was the service. The staff were genuinely the friendliest we’ve ever encountered, always attentive and incredibly personal in their approach. They remembered the smallest details of our preferences, which made us feel seen and cared for throughout the stay. We especially want to highlight Sylvana, who welcomed us every morning with the warmest smile. She made sure our usual breakfast order was taken care of without us needing to ask—she is very thoughtful, kind and attentive. A big shoutout also goes to Thierry, the beach boy, who was full of positive energy and so helpful. He took care of everything by the beach with the highest standards, making our days by the beach feel relaxed and carefree. Due to an electrical issue in our original room, we were generously upgraded to the Presidential Sea View Suite. This kind gesture by the hotel manager meant a lot to us—especially since we were celebrating our engagement. The upgrade made our stay even more memorable and romantic. The food at the hotel was delicious, and the common areas were tastefully decorated, reflecting the boutique feel of the place. Everything was done with care and style. We felt completely looked after from start to finish, with no worries at all—just pure relaxation. H

Our stay at Salt of Palmar for my wife's birthday was nothing short of spectacular, and I cannot praise this hotel enough. From the warm welcome to the personalized care throughout our stay, every moment was a testament to their exceptional hospitality. A special thank-you to Angelo, who ensured our celebration was perfect. From arranging a stunning bouquet of roses to a beautifully decorated room, his meticulous attention to detail was extraordinary. He personally welcomed us, checked on us frequently to ensure everything was to our satisfaction, and even came to bid us farewell, making sure every aspect of our stay exceeded expectations. The cuisine at Salt of Palmar was an absolute delight. Each dish was a celebration of flavors, crafted with care and creativity. A heartfelt thank-you to Executive Chef Shiva for delivering such an extraordinary culinary experience. Every meal felt like a masterpiece, showcasing the perfect blend of local and international influences. The entire staff, from the cheerful waiters to the spa team, added a layer of warmth that made our stay truly special. The spa treatments were rejuvenating and luxurious, making us feel pampered and relaxed. We highly highly recommend the lodge. It makes an immediate impression as you come in - everything is very thought through and you notice tiny details everywhere: the decoration, the good vibes, pleasant music, the staff as well as the other tourists are friendly and down to earth. Julien personally welcomed us and gave us a tour of the premises. Food is exceptional (very fresh, plenty of vegetables and fruit which we really appreciated, some local Mauritian dishes) and so is the staff! A range of activities is available from hikes to free boat shuttles to the nearby island. The booklet provided was very informative (with recommendations for restaurants, attractions, etc.) - we wished we had that info at the beginning of our Mauritius trip. Unfortunately my partner had a medical emergency on our last day. The staff and Julien, the hotel owner, organised everything necessary and rushed him to the hospital in his vehicle. Having a health issue in a foreign country was stressful, but they supported us so much and made everything work. We're now back home in good health. We hope to be able to come back some time soon!

Exceptional place, you feel as if in a luxury botanical garden. The room (Junior Suite) and all the facilities were impeccable. The service too, food really good except for the Trattoria pizza - I prefer the Roman style (thin and crunchy) and this one was thick and really heave in the stomach. It was nice to have the shuttle to Île aux Cerfs where Anahita has the best beach on the Island. Swimming in the sea was possible on Île aux Cerfs (even if no marine life) but at the mainland beach. Golf clubs at the Resort and Île aux Cerfs are amazing.

I have not enough words to thank you for the great time we had in your hotel. It was an incredible experience, specially the service: all the staff were really friendly, nice and welcoming. The human resource made all the difference. I want to send a special thank to Rachel, Glória, and to the duty manager Akshada (which the business card I’ve lost and I’d appreciate to have the email and contact again on this contact…) for all the kindness they gave us, making us to feel like home. The hotel has a beautiful beach with free water sports for guests. The rooms were nicely decorated and the beds were extremely comfortable. The food was delicious and for the price, we believe it was a great deal. We celebrated our honeymoon at the hotel and they made us feel special on our arrival with some snacks and gifts. The Spa and the gym were a nice bonus during rainy/windy days.

The service was outstanding, the staffs were very nice, kind, humble. The foods were just delicious. I thank Laguna team from the bottom of my heart. My wife appreciated the surprise birthday cake which were offered from the hotel.At a rating of 10 You were 20/10. Thank you so much.

Charming proprietaires - very friendly , welcoming and helpful. This is little hidden Gem of a boutique hotel on the East Coast. Quiet, serene, stylish. Thanking the hosts couple for a wonderful stay. Hope to return some day 🤗

just loved it, the staff are smiling = they are being taken care of, i am now in another, much higher rated rated and more expensive resort in Mauritius and i wish i was in Long Beach instead!!!

Buffet was very high quality. Some of the staff were amazing. Fun music every night. Quiet pool and area was welcomed for us couples. Gym was well equipped. Overall, really damn good experience!

Brigitte a lady running the place was very nice, kind and helpful. The breakfast was deliscious. We enjoyed the swimming pool during the evenings. The place is located in the calm peaceful area

It is amazing, ecofriendly and luxurious place. Food was delicious. Live music in the afternoon. Prices for drinks were afordable. Trip to island for free was magnificent.

Everything was perfect, I recommend! Smiling staff, hotel facilities, entertainment, beautiful beach, food, drinks... You won't get bored here, only if you want to :)
