- From US$1,055.21 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.8Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 53 reviewsIt was a perfect family vacation thanks to the lovely staff, services, facilities and the island. We appreciated the kindness the Ayada staff showed especially towards our little child. Always gentle and helpful with a smile in their face and no matter if butler, waiter, director, kitchen chef, masseur, transportation staff. The service was always impeccable with regards to our necessities: getting organized a microwave to heat up our child's food, getting food to our room, cleaning up the room, getting some dessert to our room. Our Butler Zak was available 24/7 and very helpful for everything we needed. We even received an upgrade for our stay with a swimming pool and direct access to the beach. When asking why, they said: "Because we love you!" Food quality and variety was good as well as the SPA massage we received. The offering of sport variety was amazing from football to volleyball to tennis and kayak. We especially enjoyed our daily bike tours on the island and the infinite swimming pool with beach view at Zero Degree. The island and its nature had a lot to offer: wonderfull beach, crystal water, baby sharks, crabs, bats. An unforgettable experience we will always keep it in our heart and will regress one day for sure.Guest review byAlexandraGermany
- From US$811.63 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 108 reviewsIn my opinion, this is the best place on earth to relax and disconnect from the craziness of everyday life. This is also the only resort in the Maldives that I have no hesitation returning to. The staff, the food and the facilities are fabulous, but the best thing about this place is the house reef with its beautiful marine life. Nothing beats swimming with and amongst the beautiful fish and countless other sea creatures. You can't experience that in places offering just a blue lagoon. The water is crystal clear when the weather is good, the sand is soft, and you are not stepping - and shouldn't anyway - on any corals. You have to swim a bit to get to them. The staff at the restaurant are lovely and very happy to accommodate any special requests guests might have, but quite frankly, I doubt they have to do it often as the variety of dishes offered is plentiful and very well prepared. I love staying at this resort and will be heading there again in a few days' time. I can hardly wait! I highly recommend this place to anyone wishing to visit the Maldives and have the best experience possible.Guest review bySvetlaBelgium
- From US$2,232.95 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 330 reviewsWe had an incredible experience at Sun Siyam Iru Veli. The turquoise waters, white sandy beaches, and luxurious villa were amazing. But what truly made our stay unforgettable was the people. A special mention must go to Kadek from Aqua Orange. Her warm smile, attentive service, and genuine care made every meal feel personal and special. She truly went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed and cared for. Alongside her, Hamood and Rana from Aqua Orange were great. They helped create such a comfortable and enjoyable dining atmosphere that we looked forward to every visit. We also want to mention Ripon from housekeeping, who kept our villa spotless. At Chemistry Bar, Sharaf and Chew were a joy to talk to. And of course, a big thank you to Shakeeb, our ambassador. From the moment we arrived, he made sure everything went smoothly. Sun Siyam Iru Veli is a beautiful destination, but it’s the amazing people who truly make it shine. We're so grateful for the experience and look forward to coming back.Guest review byBobanNorway
- From US$347.41 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very good - What previous guests thought, 44 reviewsWe choose this resort due to the great house reef, which exceeded our expectations with its awesome marine life (turtles, sharks etc.).This place had everything we wanted of our holiday: air-conditioned rooms close to the beach, good breakfast, good cleaning, great swimming pool (though the reef.was more important to us), good gym and a professional diving center. This was our 2. holiday in Maldives, and this time we expecially enjoyed to be on a local island and learn to know the local people and culture. (First holiday was on a hotel resort island). Equator Village is great value for the money! Special thanks for the super-friendly staff!Guest review byHanna_R.Finland

From the warm welcome to every thoughtful detail, everything was perfect. The hotel beautifully blends luxury with sustainability, offering comfortable rooms with stunning views. I enjoyed pretty much everything.
I enjoyed pretty much everything. It was a super place to go for a one week holiday. You're a captivated audience on such a small island but there was more than enough to keep you occupied for the week. The food was excellent, the staff extremely supportive and I think that RIU have a near perfect arrangement for the 'all inclusive' experience.Guest review byStuartUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Amazing resort I would highly recommend.
Amazing resort I would highly recommend. This was our second stay at Kandima and our experience exceeded the first. Good selection of meals provided throughout the day and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Our shuttle bus driver Gasimm was very patient and informative on the ecosystem. Excellent facilities for children.Guest review byClarkeUnited Kingdom - 10.0

If you are on a budget, using the local ferry's are a big save in regards to travel and make Island hopping do able. They are 3 time the length of time, at 1 tenth of the price of a speedboat. We still enjoyed sitting out front and watching the dolphins swim with the boat. The trip back was empty and we chatted to the crew. (30 min speedboat vs 1h30 Ferry) The Ferry goes ever 2 days so we did the Maafushi to Fulidhoo, slept 2 nights then got onto it again from Thinadhoo. Two beautiful Islands.Guest review bymorneSouth Africa - 10.0

If you ever can go to Maldives, there is only one place: Madifushi Private Islands. It's a new heaven on earth, and the experience will blow you away. The activities, the SPA, the food, the staff, Sacha, the manager [Omar], the room service the views. I can't stop, honestly. Never been to a better place.Guest review byAllen O.United Kingdom - 10.0
Lovely island that can be walked around in 20-30 mins.
Lovely island that can be walked around in 20-30 mins. Great sandy beaches, beautiful crystal clear waters, plenty of sea life (fish, rays, turtles, reef sharks etc) that all can be observed from the beach or from your over-water bungalow. One side of the island looks out to open sea and the other side of the islands looks towards neighboring islands in the same atoll. The walk from the room to the reception area or the restaurant or the dive shop are all 5-10 mins (but some rooms are much closer to the facilities such as the beach bungalows). Our room was 501 which was one of the Pool Suites. There are 4 pool suites in total. Room 501 has access to the snorkeling reef and at low tide you can enjoy your own private swimming pool. The staff said that Room 501 was the best of the Pool Suites so ask for this room specifically. The restaurant has an amazing selection of food from many different cultures (Indian, Sri Lankan, Maldives, Japanese, Korean, western cuisine...) and always an abundance of fresh produce, fruits, salads. If you take up the All Inclusive dining package then all meals and drinks - even cocktails by the pool - are included. Also included the mini bar in your room however this is only restocked daily. The facilities are clean, the staff are friendly and always willing to help. The room was cleaned daily and the pool was cleaned every 2nd day. What I really appreciated was the pool cleaner asking me if I wanted to add chlorine to the pool. I opted to NOT add chlorine as the pool water flows over the infinity edge into the reef. Having the pool vacuumed every 2nd day was also not necessary but the staff were happy to assist and wanted to make sure you had a great stay. We visited Velifushi in April 2024 which was lovely weather around 32 Deg C. We had a few brief storms that lasted no more than 10 mins during the early hours of the morning but the daytimes were great weather. Highly recommend Velifushi to you.Guest review byPablo_123Australia - 10.0

From the moment we arrived until the moment we left they made us feel so welcome and so special. Everyone in the team just wanted to ensure that we had the best time. From the captain/boss Ahmed, to John the host, to Arbi and the waiters, the chef and through to all the guys on the boat. We got to know them all and felt like part of a family. I couldn’t recommend it enough and if we could afford to, we’d go back next week! If you want the bustle of a big resort, then maybe this is not for you, but if you want to be somewhere that celebrates the beauty of nature and all that the Maldives has to offer, with people who love to show that to you, then this is the place for you. We felt like we knew the whole team by the end, they were all so genuine and thoughtful and caring. We’ve seldom had such personal attentive service and we’ve stayed in many places around the world, and they made our 25th anniversary such a special evening. If you want beauty, nature, simplicity, comfort, good food, great service and fantastic adventures with amazing attention to detail then just book Thari Fushi. We miss you all!Guest review byAlexisUnited Kingdom - 8.0
The reef surrounding the island is simply amazing,...
The reef surrounding the island is simply amazing, particularly the exit next to the water villas (nr. 4) and the ones facing north-west (nr. 5 & 6). Just snorkeling we had the chance to see an incredible variety of fishes and corals, we also swam alongside a turtle and sharks a couple of times! Staff is great, always gentle, kind and willing to help and assist. The food is great both in quality and in variety of offer, we really enjoyed our full board selection. We particularly appreciated the lack of "holiday village entertainment" and the authentic look & feel of the island (preserved but not over constructed). The water villas should be refreshed - they are a gem but furniture is not well preserved and now quite old. Currently the villas have 3 kinds of roof, with different colors and some feature colored fabrics covering some pieces: it's a real pity as they do not look premium and ruin the overall scenery. I hope they are just temporary. Additionally, extra costs are quite a burden, as rates are high and you even need to pay for plain water even if on a full board service.Guest review bySarah MirneItaly - 10.0

I loved everything! It was amazing! The people, the view, the quiet island, the snorkeling with sharks and rays… 😍 Just the food, sometimes a little expensive for a simple salad or pasta (but still very affordable), and the bed a little hard (but we still slept very well!).Guest review byMarineFrance - 10.0

The clear waters are amazing and unbelievable, enjoyed the scenery. Swimming and snorkelling are a must. Enjoyed the freshely baked fish more than anything else. The local flight going from Male to the property was long as we had to go to two islands prior to taking a speed boat to the property after a long day of travellingGuest review byJanfeke DavidSaudi Arabia - 10.0
Perfect place for total relaxation.
Perfect place for total relaxation. Maybe a few more activities for the ‘oldies’ would be good. We loved the bingo and Kahootz but the party music wasn’t our style. Enjoyed the saxophone player and the Irish singer. During the day maybe trivia or games?Guest review byJulieanne
