The food was world-class – fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The diving and snorkeling were absolutely breathtaking, with vibrant reefs and incredible marine life. Excursions were perfectly planned and full of unforgettable moments. The rooms were pure luxury – stylish, serene, and always offering stunning views.     Cinnamon Dhonveli is pure paradise — turquoise waters, white sand beaches, and stunning overwater villas make it a dream escape. The snorkelling right off the island is incredible, with colourful marine life all around. We had a brilliant Balinese massage at the spa and loved the live music and entertainment in the evenings — the crab race was a hilarious highlight! We loved sipping cocktails at Raalhu Bar while watching surfers take on the waves at Pasta Point — a unique and relaxing highlight. However, what truly sets this place apart is the amazing staff; Khair’s exquisite live cooking came with great banter and flavour every time. Sakeshala greeted us daily with warm smiles and delicious fresh salads from the bar. Bartenders Sanjaya, Frank, and Akila kept the drinks flowing and the energy high — always friendly, efficient, and full of charm. Nashooz and Sulaiman were wonderful waiters who made every meal feel special, and Srimanti showed such genuine care and hospitality, especially when my wife wasn’t feeling well — bringing her soothing drinks and checking in. Satarr welcomed us with beautiful flower necklaces, and Ren in management was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our stay — always available via WhatsApp to sort anything we needed. We also can’t say enough about the rest of the staff — everyone we passed greeted us with a smile and a friendly “hello,” adding to the warm, welcoming atmosphere of the whole island. All in all, it was a truly unforgettable honeymoon. We left with full hearts and amazing memories — can’t wait to come back!

    We had a great time at this wonderful resort. It is only some 45 mins by boat from Male. The staff are extremely kind and courteous. The team responsible for sea excursions is very informative and helpful. The restaurant provides a great variety of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We were booked at half board and there were plenty of options to have a snack during the day at very reasonable prices. The room had all the needed amenities and was cleaned twice a day. Each room had its allocated sun beds in an idyllic environment. It takes around 15/20 minutes to walk around the island to see nature at its best. The sea immediately around this island is already beautiful to swim in and snorkel. The excursions to nearby reefs add to the experience of seeing turtles, mantas, harmless nurse sharks and all kinds of colourful fish (some of which can be seen in the vicinity of the hotel) . The island is very welcoming, well kept and very clean. A place to revisit time and time again.

    First of all I would like to appreciate all the staff of kaani for their hospitality. Top notch. We stayed at kaani Beach hotel 103.108.109 from 15 to 18th. What a service. Start with the Mr Tiger, from male, incharge of the hotel. But he was everywhere from the receiving of the guest till we get dropped to the boat he was absolutely on every service we needed. God bless you my friend. The receptionist Suman from Nepal, absolutely amazing lady helped us through all the process to the booking and all the things we needed. Restaurent stuff, Aditya from nepal what an amazing personality and hospitality. Along with his team jowel, rony, anisur from Bangladesh. Provided us with the best private beach dinning experience we have ever experienced. The island tour guides' boat mans were amazing through out the trips. Thanks kaani team.     Our stay at Arena Beach was fantastic! We enjoyed the location right on the beach and both the breakfast and dinner buffets were delicious.😋 However, the fantastic service provided by Reena was particularly memorable and made our stay unforgettable. As it was my boyfriend's birthday, I wanted to plan a little surprise. Reena immediately offered me her help, suggested ideas on her own and implemented them as agreed. The organization behind it was seamless and all the work she did, even outside of her working hours, was incredible. Because of her, we had an unforgettable evening, with great food, a delicious cake and beautiful decorations in our room.🥰🎂🫶🏼 It just goes to show how much effort the staff put into making sure guests have a great stay. We would recommend it to anyone!😄

    We had an amazing experience at Anantara Dhigu. Here the highlights: -All staff were so welcoming and warm. -Breakfast was rich full of yummy and also healthy options like kumbucha, chia puddings and all kind of juices you can imagine. -Room was really clean and spacious. Bed and pillow were pretty comfortable and the shower was so good. -Thai and Japanese restaurants were spectacular. -Really convenient to go from Male Int airport since the have speedy boats working 24/7 and in just 35min you’re at the resort. -The bikes to enjoy and explore the island are so nice. -We saw so many marine life at the island’s beaches. Sharks, stingrays, turtles and so many different fishes.

    After long research decided to stay in this hotel and that was a right decision! 8 days in a heaven on the earth :) Personnel are very helpful and always willing to help. Took the all-inclusive package and food selections was above the expectations! Area is clean and rooms get cleaned twice a day! Fresh fruits were amazing. Transfer to and from hotel was organized perfectly! Hotel is located 45 mins boat drive from airport and this is very convenient considering long lasting flights and connections. I will definitely choose the same hotel for my next stay in Maldives!

    Beautiful resort with very friendly, helpful staff. We celebrated our anniversary with a beautiful romantic dinner on the beach. Our waiter was amazing, he was very attentive and happily took lots of photos for us. When we returned to our room, the bed was beautifully decorated with leaves and flowers. Just perfect! We will definitely recommend Maldives as a little slice of paradise. We will be back!

    My stay at Baros was just terrific. And if something was not perfect, an amazing staff went above and beyond to solve it. Don’t think twice and book this place.

    One of the most beautiful places in the world. Wherever you look, you'll find postcard worthy landscape. The ocean was very clean, ideal for snorkling and apparently it was a good spot for surfing as well. All in all, a must see.

    Maafushi is, overall, a great place – the people are friendly and welcoming. The weak point is definitely the services. When it comes to hotels, don’t expect luxury. In my opinion, for what you actually get, it’s overpriced. One big plus is that Maafushi gives you more freedom. You’re not tied to a resort – you can move around, explore, go jogging if you want, and enjoy the island on your own terms. You can book trips easily, there’s stuff to do, and it doesn’t feel restrictive.

    Hulhumale despite being busy like the rest of Male has an airy feel to it with lots of greenery - almost colonial. The East side is quiet for traffic although it's close to the seaplane flight paths - I didn't find that intrusive. The West side has the harbour with the ferry terminal and where the liveaboards anchor between trips. When I was there there had been a lot of recent building work so I would avoid staying there. Lots of options for buying fresh fruit and vegentables if you need and a range of places to eat at different price ranges.

    I loved the proximity to Male for ease of arrival and departure. I also loved looking at the city lights from afar, whilst being separated by stunningly turquoise waters and the gentle sounds of lapping waves. The marine life in the lagoon was plentiful and beautiful, and I had many marine visitors near my villa at all hours of the day. The snorkelling with sharks-excursion was probably the single best experience, but the resort itself was the star of the whole experience. The quality of the villa (amazing bed, wonderful toiletries from L'Occitane, the view, the constant refill of free fresh water and Nespresso coffee) and the rest of the resort (amazing food, world-class spa) was the stuff of holiday dreams!

    We LOVED Dhiffushi!

    We LOVED Dhiffushi! A real taste of a local island, the thing that struck us was how quiet and peaceful it was. We wandered everywhere on foot and loved that the roads are all sand. We were there in monsoon season and experienced some storms but they were short and everyone just gets on with stuff. There was some rubbish washed up on the non-hotel beach areas but most hotels keep their areas spotless. Both bikini beaches were absolutely stunning. Would definitely recommend Dhiffushi as a real gem of a local island. As an added bonus, we could not believe how cheap everything was too!

    I absolutely loved my time in Thulusdhoo - my first time in...

    I absolutely loved my time in Thulusdhoo - my first time in the Maldives! I feel I picked a fabulous island to spend 4 days of relaxation and calmness following a busy elective healthcare placement. The island was so beautiful and peaceful. The beaches were so clean, white sands, the water was crystal clear, all sun-loungers free to use and very friendly locals and business owner stalls, businesses, and restaurants. A couple I met whilst away also got engaged on sunset beach with the most beautiful backdrop (a real must to visit during the evenings)! Plenty of places to choose from to eat - from beach bars to evening dining. I went to Juice Bench every day for lunch, the staff were so kind and smiley and the food was delicious and fresh. I also ate dinner at Indulge (10/10 pizza!), Cafe Bandaha for dinner, amazing tikka masala curry and the freshest apple juice! (Breakfast was included in my hotel - Eden Blue - which I also highly recommend!). I took two excursions with Baani Watersports - first the reef shark and stingray trip, which was absolutely amazing! The second trip was the sandbank and turtles trip, again - amazing! The team were very friendly, fun, and ensured we were looked after throughout. They took fabulous photo's of us all on their gopro which they sent to us afterwards free of charge. I also found their pricing very competitive! Getting around the island is easy peasy. I walked every day, it is quite small so can be easily lapped in around 45 minutes of strolling. People were also using mopeds and bicycles. I also received a complementary shuttle service from the ferry port to my accommodation and back which was a very welcomed bonus. Overall, the island is wonderful, the people are so lovely, and I'm SO glad I picked this island to spend my 4 days! I hope to be back one day soon - perhaps with someone next time so I have a companion in the evenings when it's a little quieter!

    It is a really peaceful island with a really nice beach. Beach has almost that resort level quality to it. Island is small, so besides water activities or some excursions, there is not much to do, so for some travelers it might get boring.

    Guraidhoo - ferry every day and easy to reach from Male, not so busy yet, not yet ugly concrete big buildings, bikini beach is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. White soft sand with turquoise warm water and sandy shore for fantastic swimming and walking on the sandbar - great for kids too, sunbeds and good cafe on the beach, there are corals and ship wreck for snorkeling and not to forget the shark feeding place - simply amazing to watch sharks and rays - great entertainment for the evening. There are great restaurants with fantastic prices. This island is amazing choice !

    Airport help desk doesn't know anything about Himmafushi. It was tough to manage a boat to Himmafushi from the airport. However, the beach was nice. I enjoyed the scene of small fishes near around the beach.

    We only had 4 days and picked Huraa because it is close to the airport. A very bad choice. The island is absolutely not nice, full of trash, nothing is taken care of, even the bikini beach was a huge disappointment, dirty, broken sunbeds, only 6 umbrellas. No cafes, restaurants anywhere. The only nice place on the entire island is the Pearl Sands. It is a hotel, but you can pay a daypass to use their beautiful private beach including a very a good lunch. That place saved our vacation.
