- From US$765.77 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 688 reviewsIt's difficult to exaggerate what an absolutely amazing island this is. Our family had never been to the Maldives before and we weren't really sure what to expect, and it was better in every single way. The island is big enough to discover new things every day, even though the resort was full you could still find empty little beaches and quiet places to sit. At 2km long, you could walk the entire length and back through the forest as an afternoon stroll, the trees and plants are breathtaking. The beaches are pure white sand, the waters clear, and you can snorkel with turtles and sharks 10m from the shore. We booked 2 beach villas for our family and were so happy with our choice - even though the water villas (on stilts over the sea) are the famous pictures you see from the Maldives, we actually loved being surrounded by trees and greenery and the best beach on the island for sunbathing and swimming was 50m away. The villas were spacious, well-equipped and really comfortable. The outdoor shower was a nice touch, showering under lush forest and watching the fruit bats flying overhead was surreal! Also a veranda at the front with sunbeds was nice, so you didn't have to be at the beach if you didn't want to. As a family with 2 teenagers, there was always plenty to do and the island is of course safe enough that we could each do our own thing when we wanted and meet up afterwards! We used the dive centre (Rasdhoo Divers - amazing dive sites and VERY friendly and helpful staff, well organised and great equipment), did excursions, visited most of the bars and pool areas, enjoyed the DJ at the beach bar in the evening, used the gym, and there are watersports and tennis etc too. The a la carte restaurants are apparently exceptional, but we were really happy with our buffet restaurant, Haruge. There was always a huge variety of dishes at all 3 meals, all of a very high quality.Guest review byJaneGreece
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 233 reviewsAdaaran Club Rannalhi is a perfect destination for relaxation & heavenly stay for couples in Maldives. This resort is designed in such a way that every one can get comfort and entertainment. Their staffs are so cordial (reception, restaurant, bar everywhere). Throughout our stay, every interaction with the staff was a delight. I must mention the name of Mr ARUNA, who helped us during check-in and provided sufficient information about the island. The food was awesome, sitting arrangement in main bar was beautiful - one can enjoy the view of sea while drinking their favourite beverages and delicious food. They have a beach volleyball court too which is enjoyable. From the Water Bunglow, the sunset view was astonishing. This was one of the place from where i didn't want to leave. At the end, a beautiful gesture shown by Mr ARUNA and hotel staffs by waiving a Flag stating "Good Bye, See you Again", when we were leaving from the island. Highly recommended to get the experience of this island once in lifetime.Guest review byChandankr7Malaysia
- From US$3,449.16 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.7Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 108 reviewsThank you for fast and smooth boat transfer, did’t have to wait at Male airport. Also thank you for early check-in so we could enjoy the holiday as soon as possible (this is the thing that is not usually available in hotels). We got villa 181 with beautiful sand beach and view with sea and palms. Not windy, calm & clear water. The island has about 15 beaches, explored them all by bicycle or walk. The beaches were really beautiful. Delicious food at breakfast and Rhabarbaro restaurant for dinner. Especially like breakfast buffet with choice of a la carte menu.Guest review bySilviaSlovakia

I only stayed overnight in Male and, in general, it was enough. Simply passing though to get my flight home. As expected the city is noisy, busy and hectic. Wow the contrast from the laid-back, easygoing atol where I was based for the holiday. However, I still quite enjoyed it. The guy from the diving company arranged a tour guide for me whose policy was that I pay him what I thought his time was worth. I got to experience the traffic from a scooter (quite scary to begin with) was taken to the market and given lots of free samples of local foods to try and had visits to all the important sites in three brilliant hours. He also introduced me to a wonderful restaurant - The Seagull Cafe- where I visited another twice before leaving the food and the coffee were so good.Guest review byJamesUnited Kingdom - 10.0

One of the most beautiful places in the world. Wherever you look, you'll find postcard worthy landscape. The ocean was very clean, ideal for snorkling and apparently it was a good spot for surfing as well. All in all, a must see.Guest review byÁkosHungary - 10.0

Maafushi is, overall, a great place – the people are friendly and welcoming. The weak point is definitely the services. When it comes to hotels, don’t expect luxury. In my opinion, for what you actually get, it’s overpriced. One big plus is that Maafushi gives you more freedom. You’re not tied to a resort – you can move around, explore, go jogging if you want, and enjoy the island on your own terms. You can book trips easily, there’s stuff to do, and it doesn’t feel restrictive.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

Hulhumale despite being busy like the rest of Male has an airy feel to it with lots of greenery - almost colonial. The East side is quiet for traffic although it's close to the seaplane flight paths - I didn't find that intrusive. The West side has the harbour with the ferry terminal and where the liveaboards anchor between trips. When I was there there had been a lot of recent building work so I would avoid staying there. Lots of options for buying fresh fruit and vegentables if you need and a range of places to eat at different price ranges.Guest review byNigelUnited Kingdom - 10.0

I loved the proximity to Male for ease of arrival and departure. I also loved looking at the city lights from afar, whilst being separated by stunningly turquoise waters and the gentle sounds of lapping waves. The marine life in the lagoon was plentiful and beautiful, and I had many marine visitors near my villa at all hours of the day. The snorkelling with sharks-excursion was probably the single best experience, but the resort itself was the star of the whole experience. The quality of the villa (amazing bed, wonderful toiletries from L'Occitane, the view, the constant refill of free fresh water and Nespresso coffee) and the rest of the resort (amazing food, world-class spa) was the stuff of holiday dreams!Guest review byInaNorway - 10.0
We LOVED Dhiffushi!
We LOVED Dhiffushi! A real taste of a local island, the thing that struck us was how quiet and peaceful it was. We wandered everywhere on foot and loved that the roads are all sand. We were there in monsoon season and experienced some storms but they were short and everyone just gets on with stuff. There was some rubbish washed up on the non-hotel beach areas but most hotels keep their areas spotless. Both bikini beaches were absolutely stunning. Would definitely recommend Dhiffushi as a real gem of a local island. As an added bonus, we could not believe how cheap everything was too!Guest review byClannyUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The people that work there in the island are very genuine and polite and helpful, always smiling. They make your time there very pleasant. Don’t forget to tip them. Jr and Anastasia from the club house coordinators are amazing and multi talented individuals. Don’t miss their daily sport activities by the pool.Guest review byJawid KaderiUnited States - 10.0
I absolutely would return!
I absolutely would return! After the fact I was told this was a Russian resort but we interacted with a variety of guests during our visit. Our neighbors were guests 20 years ago and returned with two children. They were having an absolute ball. I loved the swim up bar at the pool - and the fact it was at the opposite end (along with a divider) from the children's area. Super attentive and friendly staff, great meals, I didn't tire of the options at the buffet. The a la carte restaurant was lovely too. We did the all inclusive and it was definitely worth it. Great chill vibe and overall a fun place to relax and play.Guest review byHollie - 10.0

An amazing snorkelling beach -no boats or travel required -just thousands of colourful fish and turtles, perfect white sand and palm trees. The concession stand sold delicious, fresh-picked fruit-watermelon, papaya, bananas. We loved the Coccoa beach restaurant and the Black Anchor and the Mango House had fabulous lattes and desserts.Guest review byMaureenCanada - 10.0
Dhigurah is a beautiful island with a long sandy beach,...
Dhigurah is a beautiful island with a long sandy beach, without sunbeds and umbrellas, the palm trees lining the island will provide you with sufficient shade. At the end of the island there is a sandbank, which can be reached by walking, cycling or scooter through the tropical forest. There are several shops with groceries, souvenirs and restaurants on the island. There is a lot of accommodation in different places on the island with quality services. The local people are smiling and friendly. There is a hospital, a police station, the Maldivian office and mosques on the island. Waste from the island is taken to the forest, where it is burned in the afternoon, we only felt the smoke from the waste when there was a strong wind. You can get to the island from the airport by speedboat, the journey takes about two hours, if you suffer from nausea, I recommend taking anti-nausea medicine, you will definitely need it when the waves are bigger. There is a coral reef around the island, you can see many colorful fish, we were lucky to see a turtle and a small shark. There are resorts on the surrounding atolls, to which seaplanes fly daily. What we didn't like on the island is the massive construction of new accommodation facilities, I'm afraid that in a short time, there will be more tourists on the island than locals and the island will lose its authenticity and beauty.Guest review byHanaCzech Republic
