An amazing place to stay on Isla Holbox! The room was super clean and fresh. The place is very well organized with great staff! The breakfast was good, you can order a laundry in case of any need which helped us a lot! The whole interior design with attention to details was remarkable! It is such a relaxing space with a nice pool area and sun terraces as well. We felt like in the Robinson Crusoe's book. I can only recommend this place!

The staff was super friendly and always willing to help with anything. The breakfasts were delicious and at night you can't miss the fireplace in the dining room which is perfect for a good wine, hot chocolate or coffee. If you’re on the fence, book this place! This was an incredible hotel. While the photos online are great, they really don’t do this hotel justice! I stayed in the suite and had incredible volcano views with awesome sunsets every night. The pool area is heavenly, the restaurant has really good food, but what really makes this place is the incredible staff. Super attentive, always willing to help, give recommendations, and make your stay as pleasant as possible. The hotel only has seven rooms total but when I was there it seemed it was only half full (which is very surprising), so if you’re looking for peace and solitude with insane views and a pool and grounds to match, this is your place. Big shoutout to the staff who helped set up transport to the airport and dealt with my many questions! Cannot wait to come back! I’d stay here over Casa Palopó any day.

it's by far the BEST beach in all of cancun!!! the breakfast is amazing!! the hotel is a bit dated bit fur the price and location it's pretty much what you expect! the staff are so nice! the Krystal Altitude is right next to it... same beach, double the price! Since we're at the beach the whole day in the end staying at the Krystal just makes sense!! 🤩 parasailing above this beach was just incredible! breakfast is huge, fresh, delicious and worth the money if included in your room. but no need to do all inclusive... breakfast is enough and then dinner in town is perfect! las Isla shopping center is only 5 minutes bus drive away. Save the taxi fare to la Isla, it’s so close to Can walk or take one of the red buses for 12 pesos!

Location = paradise. (In terms of views, location) Staff is friendly. Very few people on resort in January, exactly what we were looking for. This is a bungalow so if you expect the comfort of a hotel room with AC and similar comfort you should look elsewhere where. But if you are down for a virgin experience with your room just a few steps away for the ocean and keep in mind that you will hear the waves all night long (inside of your room) then this is gonna be the best experience you can have. Food was great. The beach was always clean. No rocks in the water despite those on the front of the resort’s beach. There is also a part of the beach with no rocks at the front of the water (see the night shot with the string lights).

This is one of the best hotels in the hotel zone of Cancun. Amazing place with great food and amenities. The staff is also great in every way possible. If you have a rental car they have a parking lot so no need for useless valet parking. Room is nice with great views. You have various restaurants to choose for dinner but the buffet was the best in my opinion. Food and drinks are available 24/7 at the coffee shop.

It’s well kept, looked like a renovation just down. Room is spacious, fresh and clean. Bed is comfortable, bedding is smooth and crisp white. The staff are very friendly. We arrived between meal time, were very hungry. The chef made us 2 plates of food: delicious; that included: white fish, vegetables and rice. The food overall is very tasty. Fresh fruits are a great treat!

The city itself is nice, but the big advantage is it is a starting point for visits to haciendas, Maya ruins, cenotes, beaches, and other historic sites. The restaurants are amazing and offer a wide array of options...from the tourist filled Chaya Maya to the exceptional experience at Yerba Santa. Unfortunately, the Mundo Maya museum was closed and there was no indication on their website.

Antigua is a great location to get a taste of Guatemala.

Antigua is a great location to get a taste of Guatemala. It is easily accessible by private or collective vans from the Guatemala City airport. It is a very safe place to visit for single women or tourists traveling for the first time to Guatemala. The city is very walkable but be aware that the traffic in the streets has the right of way, so be careful stepping off the curb to cross the street. I love walking the streets and visiting the old church ruins. The Markets are full of local goods from Guatemalan artisans. If you have time the local interior market is an adventure worth exploring. The area has a multitude of great restaurants and places to eat. It's a good place to spend a few days, or just use it as a stop on your way to other parts of Guatemala.

Safer than the last time I went to Guatemala - about 25 yrs ago- . A lot of non tourist places to explore. Beautiful country side. The only tourist area I explored were Antigua, lake atitlan, Flores which are well suited for tourist, with all the services they might desire. Other parts of the country some level of spanish is required. I spent 7 months traveling mostly northern part of Guatemala, only seeing a fraction of what the country has to offer to travelers.

The downtown area is full of good restaurants with excellent Yucatecan food with reasonable prices, and service. The main Cenote and local food market is easily walkable from the main square. Walking is the best mode of transportation as everything is close by. The locals are welcoming and kind with a spirit of community and acceptance to outsiders. If you are fortunate enough to rent a place with a kitchen there is a grocery store on 39th street with everything you need to make a meal. They have a Turi bus that will pick you up at the main plaza for a fee and will take you around all the important parts of the city. The ADO Bus station is close by and can be used for trips to close by towns. They also have a "Vay y Ven" bus system for short trips around town. Valladolid is a quaint Spanish colonial style town with colonial architecture buildings mostly painted in pastel colors.

The town is charming, the restaurants serving local cuisine are delightful and the summer climate is amazing. 15 degrees at night and 22 or so during the day with no humidity. There are many activities in or near San Cristobal and we enjoyed the local parks at Arcotete and Grutas del Mamut. Our dogs were able to run off-leash and explore the forest. We spent a month at a Spanish language school (San Cris) which was a wonderful place to improve our language skills.

It's beautiful and laid back.

It's beautiful and laid back. The streets are not paved, so it was easy to walk and/or take a special taxi that can handle the sandy, sometimes wet, sometime potholes...I loved the 3 Island Tour offered by Casa Astral. We'll be back in June 2026 to swim with the whale sharks. Also, we took the ADO bus to Chiquila' to the ferry to Holbox that runs every hour. If you drive to Chiquila', they had several parking lots for about $5 per day since you can't take your car to the island. Enjoy!
