- From $183.01 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Excellent - What previous guests thought, 1,591 reviewsOur one-night stay at Cameron Highlands Resort was nothing short of magical. From the moment we stepped in, we were transported to a different era — the entire property exudes an old-English charm, like something out of the early 90s. Warm, cozy, and full of character, the ambience was absolutely pitch-perfect for a mountain retreat. The staff were incredibly courteous and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. A simple but thoughtful gesture really stood out — we had brought strawberries from a nearby farm, and they kindly washed and beautifully presented them for us without us even asking. That’s the kind of personalized service that makes a stay truly memorable. The common areas of the resort are equally impressive — from a charming grand hall with a fireplace to large koi ponds filled with majestic fish. It all adds to the resort’s serene and sophisticated atmosphere. Breakfast was served à la carte and every bite was divine. You could tell great care went into the flavors and presentation — it felt more like a fine-dining experience than a typical hotel breakfast. If there’s one thing I regret, it’s that we couldn’t stay longer. I genuinely wish I had at least one more night to soak it all in, but we had a flight to catch. Still, this brief escape will stay with us for a long time. Highly, highly recommended — whether you’re looking for a romantic getaway or a peaceful retreat into the hills, Cameron Highlands Resort delivers an experience that is both nostalgic and luxurious.Guest review bySamiUnited Arab Emirates
- From $61.79 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.8Good - What previous guests thought, 2,819 reviewsCozy, classic feel. Had everything. Don't understand why people bash the breakfast when it is a 3* hotel. Room was very comfy and huge! We got the view of Mount Brinchang from our balcony. Every night was cool @ 17/18°C. Had snooker table. Fitness centre, library, business centre.. Cafe.. Just a drive out is Tanah Rata centre, with pasar malam and lots of cafe and eateries.. Bathroom was huge with bathtub and separate shower area. Small spread of local fried rice, noodles, western breakfast with selection of coffee, tea, orange and guava juice. Please don't expect 6* from a 3* hotel. Feels a 4* for us. Family wanna book the same room next time we're coming back. 👍🏼Guest review byFendySaadonSingapore
- From $348.71 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Excellent - What previous guests thought, 422 reviewsI recently stayed at Royale Chulan Cherating Villa over the weekend, and it was truly one of my best stays to date. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Our villa was just a few steps away from the beach, which was clean and beautiful. The room itself was superb, offering all the comforts we needed for a relaxing getaway. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful and enjoyable beach vacation.Guest review byMohd FaizatulizuddinMalaysia

Come to take a snap with the giant turtle rock and the new landmark Kuantan Tower 188. Unfortunately didn't try enough of the local food. The Cendul Air Putih was great with their steamy hot pulut panggang.Guest review byictieMalaysia - 6.0

Cameron Highlands was really nice — the weather was perfect, and it felt peaceful being away from the city noise. But weekends can be a nightmare: the market areas were packed, parking was a struggle, and traffic heading towards Brinchang was just terrible. Definitely a great escape, but try to go on a weekday if you want some peace.Guest review byKogiMalaysia - 10.0
Genting Highlands is truly one of the best highland...
Genting Highlands is truly one of the best highland destinations in Malaysia. Located just about an hour’s drive from Kuala Lumpur, it’s the perfect escape from the city’s heat and hustle. The cool mountain breeze, scenic drive, and misty surroundings make the journey itself memorable. There’s so much to enjoy here—whether it’s the famous Genting SkyWorlds Theme Park with thrilling rides, the buzzing SkyAvenue Mall filled with shops and restaurants, or the lively casinos and entertainment shows. For nature lovers, the surrounding highlands and cable car rides offer stunning panoramic views. Accommodation is also a highlight, ranging from budget hotels to luxury suites with breathtaking views of the mountains and theme park. The facilities are excellent, the atmosphere is vibrant yet relaxing, and there’s always something for everyone—families, couples, or groups of friends. Overall, Genting Highlands is more than just a holiday spot—it’s a complete experience of fun, relaxation, and fresh mountain air. Definitely a must-visit in Malaysia!Guest review byAlbert AnthonyMalaysia - 8.0
Don't bother come during weekend/school holidays.
Don't bother come during weekend/school holidays. You will be the victim of standstill traffic. If weekend/school holidays is your only option, come way early in the morning, like, latest 7-7.30 am arrival at Cameron areas.Guest review bySufienaMalaysia - 2.0
Everything is over priced. Souveniers, food, water etc.
Everything is over priced. Souveniers, food, water etc. We are locals. The food in Cameron Highlands is more expensive than in the centre of KL. The entrance to the farms and some other venues are just too pricey. A family of 4 will end up paying RM100 to one spot. What about the other destinations? How can we promote local tourism when everything is priced for international tourists? The traffic jam to the farms up on the brinchang slope was the worst. Stuck for one hour and the cars on the other side even worse. Looked like 2 hours to me. No traffic control. I will not go to Cameron Highlands until that unnecessary traffic jam is not sorted.Guest review byG. RameshMalaysia - 8.0

Cherating is a nice place to stay due to its beach, scenery, food and resorts, hotels nearby. But during peak season, u need to plan much earlier to avoid staying in discomfort resorts or old resorts or old hotel. You can find a good resort with nice environment and scenery if u have ample time to make a research or survey and surprisingly there are upcoming resorts which i am looking to stay but its fully occupied.Guest review byAbu Bakar - 8.0
