The food was amazing and the chefs who came to the table were so friendly and helpful at explaining all the dishes. Special thanks to restaurant staff, Maz, Ikhmal and chef Ann. The hotel has a unique old fashioned Malay style which adds to its charm. The room I stayed in was excellent with sea view and only 2-minute stroll to a beautiful, secluded clean beach. The staff really are attentive to your needs and ensure you have a Plesant stay. If you are looking for peace and quiet in tropical surroundings and want to totally relax this hotel has everything to offer you. i went as a solo female backpacker, i love a good party, i love the beach and i love good food! and i had all!! its actually just paradise on earth. theres only 2 bars so youll meet everyone, there is also a little walk you can do to get to the otherside to have dinner and watch the sunset which is really fun. the restraunts have really yummy and reasonably priced food. I reccomend getting cash out before you go and stocking up on sunscreen, cigarettes, aloe vera and water before you go because the little shops there are expensive due to the importation efforts. you absolutely MUST do day tours as well, the sights are unmatched and super cheap, there is tour vendors all over the beach you wont have a hard time organsiing anything. also youll most likely find the love of your life there but dont hold me to that. if you want to go diving or get your diving license this is also the place as packages are super cheap and often include accomodation and food.Guest review byAvaAustralia - 8.0

I only passed by the town during my short trip to tanjong jara. But there’s everything u needed. Drugstore chains, clinics, banks and loads of restaurants with local delicacies. Oh and a visit to Rumah Kraf Batik at Jalan Nibong stesen is a must - a local artisan batik specialist. I cannot say much as my stay in Kuala Terengganu was short, only for three days, and the main purpose of my visit to KT was to visit my relatives. Didn’t do much sightseeing. However, it is a good thing that there is a large modern shopping mall within walking distance from the hotel that I was able to visit and spent time shopping and enjoying lunches and dinners in the restaurants. I was in Dungun for a diving trip to the nearby Tenggol Island, which is about 45 minutes speedboat ride from the nearby jetty. There are plenty of good, affordable hotels in Dungun, especially along the road beach plus quite a few homestays around the same area.
