This place would be a great weekend get-away from Windhoek,or as it was for us a first stop out of the city on our way to places further abroad. Upon arrival the first thing we saw was a rhino in the road, it was beautiful and a good start to our journey. We loved the 2 bedroom chalet we stayed in - it had everything we needed and was very comfortable. The lodge itself was well laid out and beautiful, it even had a little driving range to hit balls into the bush! We went on the sundowner game drive and got to see lots of animals on the preserve up close.

Friendly and helpful staff! The beautiful room and property were immaculate, and the pool was beautiful and also extremely clean. The location was wonderful- central, safe, easily found by cabs, and there was a grocery store within safe walking distance to stock the fridge in my room. The price was amazing, and the staff were always helpful.

I really liked the hotel. It responded to the needs of my family. I travelled with husband and daughter and the hotel provided a spacious and very clean, familiar room. The staff is very communicative and helpful. It is very well located. We paid for breakfast which is served in a coffee very close, behind the hotel, and we love the menu. I fully recommend this hotel. Book and thank me later (lol).

We found everything about this place wonderful! Excellent location at south edge of windhoek making it easy to depart yet still only 10 minutes drive to cbd. It’s also 5 minutes drive to the beautiful new Grove Mall, well worth a visit. Staff here are all so friendly, breakfast is excellent with eggs personally cooked for you. Lovely gardens to walk around and security gates at the front. Rooms are very comfortable and wifi great!

We stayed in a Premier Villa and it was huge! Three big bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, living room, plus an upstairs with a big table and a patio where we could watch birds and the occasional mammal. The food was great, huge portions or big buffet. It’s on a part of the game reserve with no dangerous animals so you can walk around safely. We saw ostriches, antelopes, hyrax and hare while walking or looking out our window. It’s part of a nonprofit that’s working to preserve and protect animals while working with the local community. We did the “Behind the scenes tour” which was really interesting and fun, loved the baboon walk! Really glad we stayed here!

The pool at the mercure was really nice and maintained well. All the staff were really friendly and the pizza from the pizza oven at the restaurant at Safari court were really nice, reasonably priced. The food was also delicious that we had poolside too. Rooms were comfy and a large size. Love there was full length mirrors. We returned here after our safari as we enjoyed it. The staff, Ronaldo and the lady whose daughter is called blessing, sorry can’t remember her name, both staff were lovely and a real credit to the restaurant. Ronaldo had an incredible memory.

The breakfast is mostly served, but it was among the best I have ever had. I liked their staff, especially the lady at the reception and the old man (may be a janitor), they were nice people always ready to help and their hospitality is a top notch. The place is very very nice, in a private and peaceful location. The architecture is something else, with the nicest amenities in the room. The whole thing was exceptional and worth the price. I would recommend this place to everyone wanting comfort, peace, and high level of hospitality.

This is a beautiful property outside of Windhoek and a great place to stay if being in the city doesn’t capture your interest. The staff, especially in the restaurant, are wonderful, and the chalets are really beautiful, with comfortable beds, lots of pillows, a spacious shower, and a cool vibe. There are two hikes you can do affording you the chance to see some animals if you are lucky - I saw some giraffe and a herd of wildebeest. Animals can be found on the property too, particularly at night.

Be sure your traveling papers are complete, customs have sharpened their airport checks on your visiting or working documents. Know your accommodation address where you will be staying. We love to visit the historical places and old churches. Cafe Schneider - close to the Hilton & Avani hotels then Joe's beerhouse is the only option for Supper if you have your own transport but is relativly close to the mid center. we went for work so there was not realy time for a lot of activities or to explore them I suggest a visit to the tourism info center in central Windhoek will help a lot

We stayed in this location mainly to visit Sossusvlei which is further south. Solitaire itself is a charming but tiny settlement - only a few buildings and a petrol station, however it has an amazing cafe serving "the world's best apple pie" and it was! Solitaire is about a 20 minute drive from Soft Adventure Camp at the Namib Naukluft Lodge.

i loved how safe the place is.

i loved how safe the place is. Our kids are young aged 7,4 and 2 years old. At first i was sceptical about them sleeping at the Gypsy wagon alone whilst we were in the other cabin about 20 meters away from them. But the kids actually enjoyed sleeping alone. Everything is just so perfetct and the creativity is on another level.

Lots of shopping, food and a decent night life. While their I would recommend and evening in Berrylicious, and a meal at Windhoek sky. Prices everywhere are extremely reasonable and photo opportunity in abundance.

SOlitair mountain lodge is a beautiful lodge with an incredible setting. they have a beautiful pool and watering hole close by which brings animals in such as zebra and Gemsbok/Oryx. The rooms were comfortable and large and the space is neat and well maintained. friendly staff made it extra easy to check in. We definitelywould stay and extra night at this lodge.

The proximity to the workshop venue (NAMFISA) and also to the mall. The shopping experience was fabulous, and I also found most Namibians to be warm and friendly. Windhoek is a great city, historically rich too!

You have the freedom to prepare the food and enjoy it in a space that is well-organized and sufficient within one's needs.
