Really nice continental breakfast with big choice of dishes throughout all the meals we had at the Hotel. The meals we had were always very testy, fresh and served with a smile. Convenient and central location. Spacious and big size room, it was very clean. The staff was supper friendly, lovely and helpful. We spent 2 nights in hotel Aikawa, really enjoyed staying in hotel with family environment.

Chital Lodge is a magical place! We loved our stay! Bishnu and his family are beautiful hosts! Food was great and lovingly made. Suraj and his family were excellent. From the moment we booked they were in contact with us, helping to arrange smooth travel. When we arrived they picked us up and helped us not only with finding the best things to do while in Chitwan but with any questions we had. They were so nice and I really felt like I was a part of their family. They not only run a fantastic business but I felt like we made new friends when we stayed there. They even helped us to see a few rhinos in town. I would highly recommend anyone to stay here not only for the amazing location but for the people who run the hotel. The food was also very good and always served very efficiently. Please consider staying here when you come to Chitwan, you won’t regret it.

The best place I have been in all of Nepal. If I could give more than 10, I would. Shiva’s Hippies Colony in Sauraha is not just a guesthouse , it is a home. Raj and Swastika form a lovely family. Kind, respectful and human, they welcome you not as a customer but as a friend. From the very first moment, you feel safe, at ease, and truly seen. It’s a typical Nepali family setting, where you can experience something truly different. They are not acting kind, they are kind. Authentically. You can feel it in everything they do. I kept extending my stay, day after day. I only left because I couldn’t change my flight ticket. They can help you arrange any activity such as jungle walks, jeep safaris, canoe rides. Pick-up and drop-off are available too, to and from the bus park. They provide bycicles for free, the Wi-Fi is excellent, and the chill-out area invites you to relax, read, meditate, or simply be. The rooms are clean and comfortable, matress is top quality and the food is nourishing and delicious, and the pool is a big bonus. If you are heading to Sauraha and want to experience something deeper than just transactions and services (not blaming anyone,it’s just not my cup of tea), look no further. This is your place. Go with time. Let yourself slow down.

    This hotel really was so much better than we expected. Staff were all very friendly, well-trained, and super helpful. They recommended and arranged all our safari activities too so our trip was completely stress-free. The location also blew our expectations as it was way better than what we saw in the pictures. It's located at a pretty quiet area with lots of little places in the hotel where you can sit back and relax. I really liked that you can walk all the way to the river from inside the hotel area.

    It was a wonderful property to stay in Chitwan if you are particularly looking for descent accommodation with limited finance. my volunteer team stayed for 6 nights and they loved this property, staffs and the meals they were providing. Rajendra, the owner/manager was very humble and helpful.

    We spent two nights here in a beautiful setting – highly recommended to everyone! Everything was clean, peaceful, and calm. Despite our delay, the owner waited for us until midnight, helped us with the check-in, and arranged everything we needed for the trek and our visit to the national park.     The only reason to stay in Chitwan is to visit the national...

    The only reason to stay in Chitwan is to visit the national park, however, you can easily be ripped off by local guides and tour operators. Just shop around and remember that Jeep Safaris are a rip off because chanches of seeing any wild animal are extremely slim andyou end up spending 4 boring hours getting around the park. Make sure you know all options and talk to locals and tourist to find the best tour. I also recommend to visit the Tharu people site and see their dances, which is the best experience I had in this place

    The location maps they point to are incorrect. It took me in the opposite direction. Even the mobile they provide is incorrect. I complained to the front desk staff to correct immediately so that the other client won't be misguided.

    We had such an awesome visit to Chitwan, made even better by our stay at this hotel. Such friendly and helpful service throughout. We organised all our safaris through the hotel (which included lunch) if it was a full day, this was very handy. Often we’d be tired after the long day out on safari (lucky enough to see lots of beautiful birds and rhinos). Facilities were good, bed very comfortable and nice hot shower. We ate a lot at the hotel which was very tasty. Fresh produce! Most guests seem to be getting involved with the safaris so are up early this can mean it can be a bit noisy in the mornings, which didn’t phase us.

    Make sure you visit the animal friendly project Stand Up 4...

    Make sure you visit the animal friendly project Stand Up 4 elephants! It’s free and you meet two rescue elephants ladies :) We did a full day jeep safari and a half day jungle walk+canoeing. We were lucky and saw a bear, a bison, wild elephants and rhinos. Lots of colourful birds, crocodiles, monkeys etc. but you need luck to see the big animals. It’s sad that it is allowed to ride elephants in the Nationalpark what is an absolutely animal crime and the idea of a Nationalpark is to protect animals and nature. Also, to make more money, they let start five jeeps with one or two guests in it instead of putting them together. So they need to make more efforts and be more eco friendly. It worth a visit when you are already in the country and have time. But two days are enough.

    Gateway to safari’s either on foot or via Jeep. It township its self is a developing thriving hub with many restaurants, bars, tour / safari guide shopfronts. The riverside is peaceful with numerous animal sightings all day.

    It was my second visit to Chitwan.

    It was my second visit to Chitwan. I'll be returning again soon, to see more of what I haven't seen yet. I've, the crocodile breeding centre and the elephants. Plenty of places to choose from for meals. Easy to walk around the town, apart from where the streets are being improved. Plus, even when many tourists there, it doesn't seem crowded. Pleasant weather during my time there. Plus, I managed to see several football World Cup games, at different bars/restaurants.
