You go to Kaiteriteri for the awesome views, beach and water. There is good walking/hiking paths nearby. It was not overly crowded at the beginning of March but the water was still swimmable. Very close to Abel Tasman which is great.Guest review byBonnieUnited States - 8.0

We arrived in Marahau in order to walk on the Abel Tasman track. It is a small township, and we enjoyed walking down to the bay for the sunset. We had chosen the Aqua taxi to transport us up to the start of our walk, and enjoyed the efficiency and novelty of that experience. Just a warning to other travellers, By mid May, the little township is settling in for the ‘off’ season, which means that there are fewer grocery and eating options. We had been forewarned and had collected groceries at Motueka.Guest review bySneddleAustralia - 10.0
We loved Kaiteriteri and wished we could have stayed longer.
We loved Kaiteriteri and wished we could have stayed longer. Sadly our finite time in NZ didn't allow us. The convenience of having all the activity pick ups here, along side a fabulous shop and coffee shop made our stay even better. Thank you Kaiteriteri 😊🤩Guest review byBloomsterUnited Kingdom - 8.0

We went to Marahau to go kayaking with MSC. It was awesome. A good pace. Saw sea lions. So interesting that we were towed by a tractor to get to the water in low tide. Not experienced that before. Several places to eat. Good food. Friendly serviceGuest review byHelenAustralia - 10.0

The beach areas are small but wonderfully scenic with golden sand. The facilities, shops and restaurants at the beach are in fitting and provide plenty of options. This is a great location for exploring the park and there are a myriad of options for doing this in different ways. Most accommodation is a short distance from the beach but it can be walkable. Parking can be an issue if drivingGuest review byAlanNew Zealand - 10.0
The locality is quiet and peaceful.
The locality is quiet and peaceful. A short walk down the valley road and over the bridge to the park entrance and the Park Cafe. The community’s foreshore is frequented by taxi boats to Kaiteriteri and Park beaches, and kayaking groups but is generally quiet. ‘Hooked on Marehau’ is an excellent and moderately priced restaurant. Matt’s fruit and veg shed near the bridge provides fresh produce at excellent prices.Guest review byCHARLESUnited Kingdom
