The owner made us very welcome and was extremely helpful in booking our water taxis for our walk the next day and advising about where to eat. The chalet was one of the best equipped we have been in and very clean. Great location for getting to Abel Tasman park - right next door to water taxis.

This wonderful apartment was in the quaintest town of Little Kaiteriteri. The views were beautiful from the comfy deck, and we loved being able to take a stroll to the beach or the neighboring town Kaiteriteri. It was a perfect home base to explore the area - did The Great Taste trail on ebikes, and an entire day hiking through Abel Tasman Nat'l. Park. Returning to this apartment each afternoon was amazing!

We absolutely loved this apartment and wish we could have stayed longer! Communication with the host was seamless, with clear instructions on how to access the keys. The location was fantastic, just a 5-minute walk to the beach, making it very convenient. The room itself was spacious, bright, clean, and included a lovely balcony. The apartment was equipped with everything we needed—a well-stocked kitchen and a washing machine, which made it easy for us to cook our own meals instead of dining out. For groceries, there was a convenient New World store in a nearby small town, just a short drive away. This stay exceeded our expectations, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient getaway.

The property hosts Jenny and Brad went out of their way to make everything perfect for our group of 8. Rooms were made available for early check in and bags could be stored after check out until our transfer arrived. Nothing was a problem for them.

Hotel is in a great location and very close to everything. Owner of the property, Paul is very welcoming, friendly and invited us to join his family for Christmas dinner. They truly made us feel like home and made sure we are not alone on Christmas!

Everything about the apartment was lovely. It was the perfect size, had all of the right details, had a great view, even better location, and came with so many details for local activities. This was our favorite stay in New Zealand.

You go to Kaiteriteri for the awesome views, beach and water. There is good walking/hiking paths nearby. It was not overly crowded at the beginning of March but the water was still swimmable. Very close to Abel Tasman which is great.

We arrived in Marahau in order to walk on the Abel Tasman track. It is a small township, and we enjoyed walking down to the bay for the sunset. We had chosen the Aqua taxi to transport us up to the start of our walk, and enjoyed the efficiency and novelty of that experience. Just a warning to other travellers, By mid May, the little township is settling in for the ‘off’ season, which means that there are fewer grocery and eating options. We had been forewarned and had collected groceries at Motueka.

We loved Kaiteriteri and wished we could have stayed longer. Sadly our finite time in NZ didn't allow us. The convenience of having all the activity pick ups here, along side a fabulous shop and coffee shop made our stay even better. Thank you Kaiteriteri 😊🤩

We went to Marahau to go kayaking with MSC. It was awesome. A good pace. Saw sea lions. So interesting that we were towed by a tractor to get to the water in low tide. Not experienced that before. Several places to eat. Good food. Friendly service

The beach areas are small but wonderfully scenic with golden sand. The facilities, shops and restaurants at the beach are in fitting and provide plenty of options. This is a great location for exploring the park and there are a myriad of options for doing this in different ways. Most accommodation is a short distance from the beach but it can be walkable. Parking can be an issue if driving

The locality is quiet and peaceful.

The locality is quiet and peaceful. A short walk down the valley road and over the bridge to the park entrance and the Park Cafe. The community’s foreshore is frequented by taxi boats to Kaiteriteri and Park beaches, and kayaking groups but is generally quiet. ‘Hooked on Marehau’ is an excellent and moderately priced restaurant. Matt’s fruit and veg shed near the bridge provides fresh produce at excellent prices.
