New ZealandWe loved our five nights at the hotel. Great apartment - we booked partly because of the separate twin bedroom and the amenities (pool and restaurant). It meant kids were entertained, but we could chill in the evening with them tucked away. And book room service when we felt like not cooking!!! We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Two problems ,too big bicycle (rented), early departure before breakfast were solved with a smile.
Bicycle swapped within minutes and breakfast in containers by the sweet "breakfast hostess"
Also the reception woman helped me book my transport from Nelson to Kaiteriteri.

The room was very clean, The location was perfect, close for activities and yet not noisy when it was bedtime. The beds were supercomfy, and the linen was crisp and clean. They have on-site parking and overall one of the best places we have stayed. In comparison to the motels in Sydney and Perth that we have stayed at, this is definitely the best so far, and the price was definitely great value for money. I already told everyone in my family and we will be booking our next stay there again when we go back to Nelson. Nelson has a lot of speciality stores and a lot of food options. The Markets in the weekends are not for those looking for a bargain but do support local and NZ made and although some were costly, there was a lot of selection of goodies. Stoke the Bach Restaurant was staffed with lovely young girls, and the food was excellent and value for money The Arden Monaco where we stayed has limited room facilities and is not staffed outside of working hours, but the beds are comfortable and with very dark woodwork old paintings and very heavy doors, the facility was well equipped with heat pumps and hot water.Guest review byKimNew Zealand - 10

Loved the friendly people, very creative and arty outlets, and artists, lovely eateries and markets, lots to do and see. We unfortunately got caught in the bad weather and were stranded for two more days - would have been great, but too wet and flooded to do anything else.
