Among the many wonderful accomodations on Waiheke Island, we chose Wild Thyme because they gave detailed information about the location and facilities, which made it easy for us to imagine what our stay would be like. AND Wild Thyme was PERFECT in every way! The rooms were well-equipped and comfortable, and were spotlessly clean. The view from the terrace was breathtaking, while the place is located in a convenient area, shops and the beach of Onorea within walking distance. Most of all, Jules and Bruce were great hosts, being attentive and kind. It is all thanks to their welcome, my parents and I truly enjoyed an unforgettable vacation. Another BIG attraction is Jule's Wine Tour! The information is also written on the notebook provided in your room. I highly recommend it to anyone considering staying here. She asked us about our wine preferences in advance and came up with the Perfect plan. We visited Allpress Olive Groves, Tantalus, Man O'War+lunch, Waiheke Gin Distillery and Passage Rock. It may have been partly because it was winter and the wineries were quiet, but Jules arranged with the winery staff to grant our selfish request to try wines(bubbles!) that were not on the regular tasting menu! She even arranged for us to taste limited edition gin at the distillery. She took us to hard-to-reach places in the east and south of the island, such as ManO'War and Passage Rock, where we enjoyed not only the drinks but also the charms of the island as a whole. It's only been a week since I returned home, but I already feel a strong desire to go back.

Lovely lodge, with beautiful view. We really enjoyed our stay, everything was great. Feels like a paradise away from busy Auckland, very calm and relaxing. We enjoyed our breakfasts on the terrace overlooking the ocean. There is also a little kitchen and outside grill if you want to cook own food. The beach (Little Oneroa) is only 5 min walk down the hill, while the Oneroa town (where you can find bars, restaurants, Four Suqare…) in 15 min walk from the lodge. The bus connections on the island are very good, there are several buses that will take you to the ferry terminal (10 min drive).

Fantastic apartment! We will stay here again if we come back to Waiheke! Perfectly located to walk to town in 2 minutes or the beach in 5 mins. You can see the beach from the apartment (villa 10) and everything was so clean and inviting. It was a pleasure to stay here, the bus stops is 1 minute walk away and it takes 5 minutes to get to the ferry (via bus) and only 25 mins if you’re walking. Close to all the amenities and restaurants, well worth staying here and a fantastic base for doing wine tours!

We had a fantastic stay at Punga Lodge! The location was perfect, offering both convenience and a peaceful retreat. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and spotless – we felt right at home. The staff truly made our experience exceptional, especially Dyan. She was incredibly friendly and her hospitality was top-notch. We also appreciated the delicious, home-baked afternoon tea, which was a lovely touch. Overall, we highly recommend Punga Lodge and will definitely be booking again in the future!

The cottage was so beautiful and quaint. I loved the breathtaking views that surrounded us. Even though it was very cold, the cottage was lovely and warm. Thank you to hosts for the bottle of champagne that was in fridge. It certainly went down well.

Truly an outstanding and very special place on this island. Peace, tranquility, design, amazing hospitality. Incredible breakfast! Lots of opportunities for hikes and runs, starting from the house.

Super friendly and helpful staff. Ashley was amazing with all the advice and help. Food and service at the resort restaurant was delicious. Convenenience and location of the resort is great.

A beautiful bush setting near some of the local shops. Short walk to Marina and reserved, birdsong and quiet atmosphere. The facilities were clean, modern and comfortable.

Hayley is the most fantastic and accomodating host- nothing is too much trouble and her cleaning and attention to detail are amazing.

Excellent place and would definitely stay there again! Great location, super comfortable beds and had everything we needed.

Everything , 5 minute walk to beautiful beach and 10 minutes in a taxi to the ferry point

The Moorings is a beautiful place to stay, everything was perfect. Highly recommend.
