- From US$107.64 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.8Good - What previous guests thought, 2,046 reviewsLocation was so close to our training centre, easy to walk too and from. Lots of close restaurants, takeaway shops. Close to Cuba street, quiet. Really clean, lovely towels and a great hairdryer. Coffee and tea facilities. Bed wasnt the best on oneside, probably the side everyone sleeps on, so needs to be turned or replaced it. TV remote was not working, reported it but it didnt get fixed or changed, not sure if that was because my do not clean sign was up. Food is great, lots of options.Guest review byFrancesNew Zealand

There are some great museums.
There are some great museums. The cable car and botanic gardens are a must see and if you have a car, it is well worth driving around the bays and to the various lookouts - the views are fantastic. The war memorial is worth a visit. The Parliament is also worth visiting but book a tour (free) to make the most of it.Guest review byGEORGEUnited Kingdom - 2.0

what happened to lower hutt - i grew up there that town was a buzzing hive of activity when i left 20 years ago i come back and the town looks dirty, old and empty. there is no life there! The mall was a joke, what has happened i use to love lower hutt, the shops are all closed. it is the saddest thing i have ever seen.Guest review byRichards - 10.0

It's the ideal getaway for a short vacation. There are numerous short walks and dining options. Henley Lake and the Millennium Reserve are particular favourites and for a longer trip Castlepoint is hard to beat.Guest review byAndyNew Zealand - 6.0
Everything within walking distance.
Everything within walking distance. However there's NO pedestrian crossings from the motel side of the road! I'm a bit slow with bad hips and I was taking my life into my hands to get across to the mall lol. Great little cafe called "Local Authority" under the council building next to the gym! Fantastic coffee and lovely staff!Guest review byChrisNew Zealand - 8.0

All in all it was a very good experience staying and I would stay there again. The unit was nice and clean and the staff were very welcoming. The local Indian restaurant is the best Indian food I have ever had and the service was exceptional not to mention that the prices are very reasonable. We tried to get into the Thai but it was fully booked. We went to another restaurant down by the beach which was upstairs but it was so noisy that it was to hard to hear. We were down for a funeral and had a car so very easy to get around the area.Guest review byGinaNew Zealand - 10.0

We visited Greytown to see the Longbush cottage tulip display which didn’t disappoint, the gift shops in the character buildings of the Main Street are always worth a look and there are many nice cafes to choose from, we ate at The Offering and Kokodeli and would definitely go back.Guest review byAndyNew Zealand - 10.0

There is no Uber, only their local Taxi, which makes getting around without a car quite difficult They do have a lot of Beaches and Reserves close by, and when I stayed at the White House up the hill, I had an epic view with the best Sunset.Guest review byClliffdog01New Zealand
