Hotel is really well maintained, clean, comfortable, with everything you need for a good family vacation. Rooms are spacious enough (we stayed 2 adults + 2 kids), with an amazing view of the ocean. The hotel has an in-house restaurant "pier 19" that is also really good and with a lot of options. Another plus, they have coffee, tea and drinking water available for free at all times for the guests. Location is great, in the main island "Isla Colon", yet is not in the middle of all the restaurants and bars, so is very quote and peaceful, but anyways within a 5 min walk to where all the action is..., is a perfect combination.

Beautiful in every way with fine design, gorgeous location, fresh gourmet cuisine and wonderful owners and staff. We loved waking up and stand up paddle boarding on the pristine bay and exploring the nearby coves. The minute you pull up to the resort via boat, you know that you are in a special place.

The location was perfect and the atmosphere cozy, but what truly made our stay unforgettable was Dimitri. He didn’t just do his job—he genuinely cared. His warmth, kindness, and willingness to go the extra mile touched our hearts. People like him make all the difference. We’re so grateful!

From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this hotel was something special. The staff greeted us with warmth and genuine smiles, instantly making us feel welcomed and valued. Their friendliness and eagerness to cater to our every need were unparalleled, making our stay not just comfortable but truly delightful. Dining here was an experience in itself. Despite being a bit away from the city's hustle, the hotel offered a gastronomic adventure that easily surpassed local tourist spots in Bocas Town, both in quality and price. Each dinner was a surprise with a different menu, showcasing a variety of delicious, well-crafted dishes that left us eagerly anticipating the next meal. The affordability of these gourmet experiences was the cherry on top, providing exceptional value for money. The hotel's design ingeniously balances social interaction and private tranquility. The communal areas invite engaging conversations with fellow travelers, creating a sense of community among guests. Simultaneously, numerous secluded nooks offer peaceful sanctuaries for those moments when you just want to lose yourself in a good book by the beach. This harmonious blend makes the hotel ideal for both couples seeking romance and groups of friends looking for a shared adventure. The view of Bird Island from the hotel is nothing short of breathtaking. Its beauty serves as a constant reminder that you are staying in one of the world's most picturesque locations. For the adventurous spirit, the hotel provides kayaks for exploring the serene ocean. However, the staff’s wisdom in advising on weather conditions underscores their commitment to guest safety. They remind us that while the ocean's beauty is mesmerizing, respect for nature's unpredictability is paramount. Finding a hotel that strikes a perfect balance between outstanding service, exquisite dining, social and private harmony, adventure, and safety is rare.

Palmar was the best holiday place I've ever stayed at. It's very cosy, not crowded, the location is spectacularly beautiful but what will always stay in my heart is the people who make you feel at home. I recommend Palmar to everyone who wants to experience heaven on the Earth.

We enjoyed The Restaurante Bar El Pirata and Buena Vista both of which had excellent seafood and were on the water and the oceanfront scenery is beautiful. Every time that I go now the town in a certain way it's getting a little bit more indigenous if I can say so, so let me explain. In the past probably 8-10 years or so, the government is assigning property to the Cunas, that are the indigenous people of Panama, because at a certain point, they took it from them, so now Changinola is basically one of the areas where indigenous peoples are being "relocated". With that said, it's not a place that you're going to find a lot of museums or art or regular cultural activities nor a lot of things like that, but you can find places with great food options. It's more countryside area, from were you cam commute to other places like Bocas or close by áreas.

Bocas Town offers many services (supermarkets, pharmacy, cafes) and seaside hotels with cafe-bars around well-designed docks. It is a good place to find tour operators and sign up for day tours to some of the prime beaches (Bluff, Estrella/Starfish, Wizard, Isla Pajaros, Isla Zapatillas) and resorts (Red Frog, Nayara, Playa Tortuga, Bocas Villas etc) in the different areas of the Bocas del Toro Archipelago.

Wait another year or so until the infrastructure construction is completed: concrete sidewalks, streets paved, and storm drainage completed. There are too many restaurants serving just hamburgers or pizza. When is the water from the tap going to be drinkable?
