The pool was perfect for our kids and there’s a natural pool fed by water flowing down from the mountain just a few minutes’ walk away. The included breakfast buffet had a lot of nice local food: Juanes, tamales, plantains, herbal teas and jams etc. and very good scrambled eggs(not always easy on a buffet) ask for the hot sauce criolla(?) Also loved the cold fresh coconuts as a poolside drink. Other meals are not included but the prices are decent and the food is all good. It's an interesting but busy and noisy city. The best parts are OUTSIDE the city. Waterfalls, mountains, scenic views, and the Blue Lake (Laguna Azul) are all highlights. It's a nice city but not as amazing as others in Peru. Plenty to do if you're young and adventurous, and some good attractions nearby including the town of Llamas and its Castle and several waterfalls. A lot of excellent restaurants and the "Plaza de Armas" (town square) is brand new and very impressive. The city is noisy, however, and the roads are a mess.
