FinlandThis small 3☆ hotel is an amazing little gem of a hotel! Everything was perfect from arrival to departure.
If we ever drive through Poland again we will definitely stay there.
The room was just perfect. The staff did everything to make us feel welcome. The restaurant in the hotel was a real surprise! I did not expect to get splendid italian food in a small polish border town yet we did! An excellent classic spagetti alla carbonara and my husband's pizza - he said the best he has eaten!
But the biggest surprise was the breakfast! I have stayed in 4☆ and 5☆ during my career but Velvet Hotel outshone many of them.
Pls note: The photos included are NOT outside but the hotel breakfast which was excellent!

EstoniaWe were traveling with the family to Czech republic - parents and 3 children (12, 10, 7) and it was excellent place to stay overnight. But it is really suitable to stay longer too - it has all you need for cooking, doing laundry etc. It was quiet at night and our children were happy about play grounds and open air gym. The shopping center is also very close and there is a big slide :)

PolandThe apartment is nicely located, in a quiet area, with free public parking in front of the building. The supermarket is very close to the apartment. The place is quiet at nights. Beds are comfortable. Kitchen equipped with everything necessary. Communication with the owner of the apartment is excellent. I was really delighted with my stay there, and I definitely recommend that apartment to everyone !

The owner took time to direct me to some places of interest I last visited 50 years ago and had a hard time finding. He was very familiar with the area and gladly offered suggestions and recommendations. The facility is very comfortable and quiet. Little grassy "beach" provides access to the lake. Row boats and paddle boats are available at no charge. My room had a large, comfortable tarrace suitable for entertaining or just taking a break in the sun. The breakfast was fresh and tasty. A Polish standard mixture of cheeses and cold-cuts, pate, ocassional herring with some vegetables (i. e. toamtoes with mozzarella, fresh cucmbers, pickles). Deliciuos real scrambled eggs, sausages and exceptional blintzes with sweet cheese or plum preserves. Small selection of cold cereals, tea, cofee, juice. Dinner featured home made soup, smashed potatoes, sauerkraut or cucumber salad , a choice of sauteed local fish or meat and a modest dessert. It was tasty and very fresh. Location is perfect. Sejny is a small town in the podlaskie region, surrounded by fields, lakes and forests. It is worth visiting for its local charm, and landmarks, such a White Synagogue, run by Pogranicze Foundation, (which also runs the nearby Dworek Miłosza in Krasnogruda). As it islocated at the Polish-Lithuanian borderland, in the the shops and in restaurants (such as Dom Litewski), you can find Lithuanian and Polish specialities, such as regional cheeses, meats, and liquors. You could purchase a fire pit evening, go fishing, go swimming in the lake and I'm sure there would be more available if you wanted. Hotel is located by a lake in a quiet wooded area. The interior of the hotel is really beautiful. Room and all the public spaces were very clean. Room was spacious and well equipped with a kettle and coffee maker etc. Pool area was nice and cozy. Staff was very friendly. A very nice city situated on 3 lakes with tour boats to take you on a nice trip on those lakes. I pretty much ate my meals at the Pensjonat Zagielek where I was staying as their restaurant serves delicious meals. They even have daily specials a few days of the week.
