Poznan is an incredibly under-the-radar city that sincerely surprised me. I was here for a conference and had only a couple of days to visit it, but I would estimate a 3-4 days stay can be adequate. The food, services, and overall vibe is way beyond what I expected. Make sure you try as many varieties of handmade pierogi you can, and visit the beautiful musea; Special mention to the Enigma museum. Make sure you check some website to know whether there are concerts, shows, or events around since the scene is very dynamic and not rarely offers free on-the-street concerts by very talented artists and amateurs alike.Guest review byStefanoItaly - 10.0
Kalisz is a cozy town with a river and a beautiful park.
Kalisz is a cozy town with a river and a beautiful park. Here you can visit Catholic churches, climb to the top of the town hall and see the whole city, visit museums. Gołuchów Castle, surrounded by a beautiful park, is about a 20-minute drive away. In many places in the city you can taste interesting Polish dishes.Guest review byNinoGeorgia - 8.0
Besides the obvious attractions like 1000 y.o.
Besides the obvious attractions like 1000 y.o. Drzwi Gnieznienskie and History Museum, the trail of fun rabbit monuments all around the Old Town and lakes, there are some mor gems here to justify 2-3 day stay. We enjoyed open summer pools in the city with kids and an evening in a local brewery - both easily discoverable on google maps. Nearby (20 min drive or 15 train ride plus 1h walk) there's an opportunity for a whole day excursion to Ostrow Lednicki. It's an island reachable by short ferry ride where a Gród (a medieval Slavonic fortified settlement) remains can be found an a trail through different historic exhibits. It can take you anywhere form an hour to half day depending on your patience, walking tempo and interests. Theres also a great karczma (traditional restaurant) need by and a couple of small beaches to enjoy the lake.Guest review byKasiaPoland - 8.0
Quiet town with a lot of history.
Quiet town with a lot of history. Good restaurants many round the main town square. Bus travel is a bit limited due to there schedule but taxis are plentiful and travel in them cheap compared to England. Inability to speak Polish not a hindrance as many people in the hospitality industry speak English and will advise on food and drink choices if asked. But if you want to explore the surrounding area a car is essential.Guest review byPeter - 8.0

Let me preface my review by saying that I'm American and I was in Piła for business. I didn't have as much time as I would have liked to explore. Overall, I thought Piła was very nice. It was pretty clean and very pretty. There's a river that runs through town and a nice trail that follows along side it. Piła is not touristy, but there are still a fair bit of people who speak English. There was only one little Kebab shop we went to where the employee spoke minimal English, but everywhere else the employees were proficient. Most places were closed on Sunday, which was unexpected. Prepare for that.Guest review byGabrielUnited States - 10.0
People in Ostrow are extremely nice and helpful.
People in Ostrow are extremely nice and helpful. Just lovely - whenever we went, we met nice, kind and helpful people with smiles on their faces. The city is pretty and clean. We went to attend Temple of Silence festival in Forum Synagoga, which is a beautiful building. There is plenty of places to eat and drinks, loads of boutiques and jewellery places. Really lovely town.Guest review byMonikaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The Old Town is extremely beautiful and there is lots to see and do. Lots of very good restaurants and places to have either food or drinks, particularly on the square when the weather permits (I was lucky to have three very warm sunny days!) Make use of a Poznan Card which you can buy on arrival at the airport, if flying in - do beware to note that there are vouchers in the back of the book they give you which accompany the card, as some places/attractions/museums etc. won't give you the free entry or discount without the voucher. I didn't have enough time there to explore further than the Old Town and Cathedral Island. Note: the Croissant Museum is NOT a museum but a demonstration and "Show". It lasts an hour exactly and is well worth a visit, but the word "Museum" is misleading. Beware: the portion sizes in many of the restaurants. Be prepared to loosen your belt!Guest review byDavidUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Must have to visit - Catherdal!
Must have to visit - Catherdal! And for sure to climb at the top for the amazing view. Attn- no elevator and the stairs are steep. Best place to park is by the Carhedral Parking. You’ll get to the Cathedral from there through the nicest restaurant in the park. Few steps away- huge lake. Highly recommended!Guest review byСупрунович - 10.0

Charming Leszno old town is a hidden treasure, worth taking time to explore on foot nearby basilica, palace, parks, "starowka", tree lined alleys, and taste delicious pierogi best in town at "pierogalnia", warming spicy tea at "lu lu cafe".Guest review byBeataAustralia
