I had an incredible experience at this hotel! The staff was amazing, and the location was perfect, just a short distance from the historic center. The building was originally a hospital but has been fully renovated to a high standard. The central lobby is breathtaking, with comfortable sofas, beautiful art pieces, and an incredible bar. My room was amazing and comfortable, and we could take our dog with us since pets were allowed. The breakfast was fantastic, with plenty of delicious national desserts to choose from. I absolutely loved my stay and would definitely return.

Louis - one of the OG sommeliers/manager and his colleague were fantastic - trying to recreate the best steak I've had at their property over 3 years ago. We say that time changes everyone, but I'm so glad to see that Six Senses remains exceptionally well run ~ please don't ever change that part! Also had a really enjoyable and dare I say life altering Osteopath Massage session - learnt a lot from my body and Lorenzo really did make my spine feel looser. Thank you!

I really loved this city and became impressed with how clean and safe it felt, as a young woman. I really want to visit this city again. Can’t say that for most of the cities in Portugal but Viseu was just so charming.

    Nice and modern hotel with a relaxing atmosphere. Nice restaurant with a view on the hill. We also enjoyed the indoor heated pool. The hotel is located in an area of cheap apartment buildings and the surroundings are not enjoyable. Seen from the outside, the hotel is also ugly, except from the outside swimming pool area.

    Breathtaking views. The area is stunning and so peaceful. We drove into some of the small villages and the locals were so friendly. We prefer to eat away from the tourist areas and we were not disappointed in this area. The food was fresh and tasty and very reasonable.

    We left a day early because the town is quite remote and we were keen to move on. We are on a month long tour of Portugal though so a day didn’t make much difference to us. There isn’t much to do in Manteigas itself. Having said that, the guide in the local tourist office is exceptionally helpful and very knowledgeable about the region. There are some beautiful views as you drive in and out of the town.

    The general feeling is very good, mainly concerning SPA and corresponding facilities. The negative point is practical impossibility to speak in English with staff. It was not correct ROOM SERVICE, time wise and quality wise. There is a need to have a charging station for electric cars. Anyway we will recommend the hotel for sure!

    The Quinta de Sao Luiz, where we were staying, made a reservation for us at a restaurant in Tabuaco. The drive to the restaurant was challenging due to the serpentine road and rainy weather. I don't think there was much to do in that small town, but we had an okay experience at the restaurant.

    Got to Moncorvo visit the church and eat at restaurant Lagar. Next day go to Foz do Sabor and eat "peixinhos do rio" at a local restaurant. Then go to Horta da Vilarica, try to find out where the Padaria is and buy the local bread - out of this world. In Foz Coa you need to see the prehistoric rock-art sites in the Coa Valley - you have never seen anything like that. And drink the local wine, eat the local cheeses, try the local sausages and enjoy the friendly people. You'll not regret it.

    The town is the administrative centre for a group of...

    The town is the administrative centre for a group of villages, with a museum, town hall and the usual shops, including three large supermarkets. Tondela is spread along a steep hill on Route N2. There is access to the Ecopista da Dao cycleway which stretches for 48 km along a former railway track, now asphalted. Nearby is the remarkable Museu do Caramulo with a wonderful collection of historic and classic cars and motorcycles.
