The hotel was really great. It reopened the 21th of July 2025 and we were the first guest. The food was delicious. - Buffet for breakfast and a la carte menu for lunch and dinner. Really good coffee and nice cocktails also. It was fresh and top quality even ig i am very picky😅 The pools were gorgeous, sunbeds are also included. There was also a towel trunk to give you as many fresh towel as you want. The hotel is not crowed and childfriendly. The staff was so nice and helpful. After our stay i went to the Pestana for 2 days and the comparison was hard. I must say our stay with Navigator was much better than the Pestana next door and cheaper.

The room and facilities were exceptionally clean, modern and well decorated. The bathroom was well designed easy to use and spotless. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. We really enjoyed our 1 week stay. Funchal is a lovely town with plenty to do and see. The hiking is Madeira is exceptional.

Amazing, just amazing. One of the best hotels my partner and I ever stayed. Just unbelievable view from the room. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. The food in the restaurant is delicious. The breakfast is excellent. The location have a lot of parking space in front of the property. Even though the property is on expensive end, it's definitely a must visit. You don't even need to go anywhere, you can just stay there an chill.

The Island of Eternal Spring

With lush landscapes, brightly coloured flowers and a mild, year-round climate, it’s easy to see why Madeira is called the ‘Island of Eternal Spring’. Its interior is mountainous, so most resorts are coastal, many at the foot of steep cliffs.

One such resort is Paul do Mar, a fishing village known for whale watching and surfing, as is Jardim do Mar, on a plateau just east. Nearby Calheta has 2 white sand beaches protected by breakwaters.

The main resort is the capital Funchal. Cascading down slopes, it has the lion’s share of 5-star hotels in Madeira on Booking.com. A cable car ascending into the hills offers fantastic views towards the harbour where cruise liners and ferries from neighbouring Porto Santo island are berthed.

East, Caniço’s sandy beach is nestled between rocky cliffs, while Santa Cruz is the nearest resort to Madeira Airport. Machico is the 2nd biggest city and has the best nightlife outside Funchal, but the best Madeira hotels for families are in quieter resorts such as Porto da Cruz in the north.

Santana is home to the triangular-shaped, thatched houses typical of the island, and twisting mountain roads lead to São Vicente, an attractive hill town with red-roofed houses. By the north-western tip is the village of Porto Moniz whose offshore rocks shelter natural rock pools.

    Our first impression was absolutely amazing; the first receptionist we met (blonde girl, I believe her name was Cristina) went the extra mile with us and gave us a free upgrade. She smiled a lot and provided us with an excellent service. She is a great asset to the company. The rest of the staff were also very nice. The check out receptionist (Zita) was also great to us. The room was very spacious with a great view to the ocean. The buffet was amazing, with a lot of food to choose from. We will definitely go back and we will recommend this hotel to everyone.

    We enjoyed our Madeira holiday fully, we had a great room on the 7th floor, and loved to swim at the beach. The location in Calheta is fabulous, about 20 mins by bus to Funchal to enjoy the town for a day, great marina and hot spot for marlin fishing. Taxi service was also great, we used Nelson Lala - Taxi 0714 to tour the island and go do great adventures and airport transfers. He is very reliable and his service was great. I highly recommend the Saccharum - Resort and Spa - Savoy Signature as a destination stay from which to explore all of Madeira.

    We really enjoyed our short stay at this beautiful resort. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The place is really nice and the beach just wonderful. We visited Porto Santo in December - it was not that warm and the sea very refreshing, but you can still swim in the sea. The advantage was an almost empty beach and a very calm atmosphere at the resort.

THERE IS MUCH TO SEE AN DO IN MADEIRA SO PLAN YOUR WEEK/TRIPS.ALSO VERY GOOD RESTAURANTS IN OLD TOWN. CITY IS CLEAN.TAKEA CABLE CAR RIDE TO MONTE. DRIVE FROM AND TO AIRPORT IS VIA MOTORWAY/TUNNELS-A BIT HAIRRAISING.     Machico resort is not for the night clubbing holiday maker, It was however for us a slow paced setting with a good selection of restaurants and supermarkets with walking routes for those who wish. The harbour offered boat trips, whale watching and surf lessons, the latter was enjoyed from the safety of a dry vantage point. Local bus into Funchal for 2-60 euro single was 50 mins away which opens up further opportunities for excursions and sight seeing like the red or yellow hop on hop off bus tours which operate from the promenade where the ticket is valid for 24 hours allowing to to spend time where the mood takes. Weather forecasting in resort will not take into account the drizzle from the mountains with can add a cooling break from the sunshine and occasional rain. Enjoy.

    Santana is a perfect location to explore the north coast.

    Santana is a perfect location to explore the north coast. Not far away from airport and capital, but still on the north. Two hiking starting points are nearby: Queimadas and Achada do Teixeira. Santana also has an only large supermarket on the whole north coast, so you can buy delicious food right there. No such option in Porto Moniz or Seixal.

    We were only staying in Caniço, we went there to visit Madeira and really enjoyed it. It's green and beautiful, people are very nice and food is excellent. I would definitely recommend renting a car with a powerful engine as the island has lots of steep roads.

    We come here to enjoy the natural pools we were too tired upon arrival. But next morning was perfect, no crowds,peaceful. There are enough restaurants to choose from. Please be aware that some of them close their kitchens around 4pm

    The island is beautiful. Soft sandy beaches. We hired e-bikes and it was very easy to get around. The people are friendly and welcoming. We took the ferry over from Madeira mainland. Smooth crossing and easy to get from port into centre of town.

    A pleasant town without excessive tourism with a beautiful beach and publicly accessible swimming pools. Excellent dining options, very close to the airport which did not disturb us with noise. Everything is clean, tidy and nice

    Calhetta itself is small and the main part of it centres...

    Calhetta itself is small and the main part of it centres around the harbour. As you might expect this means that all the major activities are boat-based such as whale and dolphin watching, sailing, fishing, excursions etc. but there are also lots of restaurants and bars overlooking the harbour where you can get a great meal - especially if you like fish - or just relax for the evening and watch the sunset.

    Great local place.

    Great local place. I am very glad I have not spend the time in Funchal. From here I could explore the whole island and had my peace in the evening but with vibrant Sunday as all the locals come to town for their coffee and markets.

    This location is simply out-of-this-world beautiful.

    This location is simply out-of-this-world beautiful. I did a lot of driving around Madeira, 700km in a week, so I saw a lot of places. Sao Vicente is lush, green, mountainous and breathtaking. I'm definitely glad we stayed here.
