Large and spacious room, beautiful comfortable bathroom. The room is equipped with a coffee machine and 3 capsules per day. The location of the hotel is central. The breakfast is excellent and varied. In the evening you can sit in the lobby and listen to a different player play the piano, saxophone or guitar every day. For a hotel parking that costs 12 euros per day, they will let you park on a nearby street at a cost of half a euro per hour, this is better because most of the day you travel the island by car.

Firstly need to say, that this was the best hotel where I ever stayed. Starting with reception where the guys was extremely pleasant and helpful, till the all time spent here. The hotel has great new swimmingpool and massage (great specialist) and perfect tasty breakfast. So, highly recommend this place to visit. Located in the city centre.

From check in to check out and everything in between it was amazing. We checked on at 10pm on New Years Eve in the middle of their New Years Eve party and they couldnt have been more accomodating! The staff are beyond wonderful and helpful. The breakfast was to die for. The views and ocean, breathtaking. Can't wait to go back!

I loved my stay at this hotel! The ocean view from my room was breathtaking, and the sound of the waves made it so relaxing. The room was clean, comfortable, and perfectly designed for unwinding. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the restaurant served delicious food with stunning views. Being just steps from the beach was a huge bonus. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone seeking a peaceful coastal getaway!

    Lovely place to explore , the botanical garden Borges is...

    Lovely place to explore , the botanical garden Borges is free and really nice to see . Lovely bars and restaurants scattered all over . Plenty to see and do here for a few days . We got a taxi to the lava caves in town ( grutas do carvão ) but we walked back as it’s only a 15/20 min walk . The 1 hour Cave tour is worth doing and cost €10 .

    I enjoyed Riberia Grande.

    I enjoyed Riberia Grande. It is a great place to situate yourself if you are planning to visit different areas of the island. The public swimming pools and ocean access was fantastic. I enjoyed going to the courtyard area in my area nightly to eat and enjoy a glass of wine. Took a little getting used to the serving staff here as they did not seem interested in their customers. Upon searching Google, I found out this may be because they are paid a decent living wage and therefore not reliant on tips. This makes it even more confusing as to why they would not be receptive to their customers.

    It is a beautiful and historic building with so much character. It has calm and peaceful seating areas throughout where you can sit in comfort. They have the best breakfast and we relied on the banana for a snack as we were out and about during the day. This location is perfect for exploring the island as it is centrally located. We will definitely be back

    Casas do termo are about 2 km from Lagoa, and we didn't explore this small town well enough. The big Continente supermarket was easy to find (on the road from the motorway). The roads on São Miguel are on the whole very good and the traffic is light. There is a lot of agricultural traffic, however. Using this location as a base, we could easily explore the whole island by car and there are many things worth experiencing (views, villages, Ponta Delgada itself). It's an amazingly lush, green island. We would recommend it!

    There is not much going on here.

    There is not much going on here. We stayed here as it's close to Pico Da Vara. We should have stayed at Furnas though as we ended up driving down there 3 times :-) That being said, the island is small and it's all doable.

    this hotel was far from the airport or anything else for that matter, if you had to walk so a car is a necessity, and although the hotel had amenities like restaurant (only open for breakfast with the same breakfast every day) and vending machines (which if you could find a working one was empty( best piece of advise is find a grocery store, the island living is the best but it does take some getting used to if your from North America.

    Ribeira quente is an authentic fishing village with a great restaurant and bar which also serves good food . It has a spar supermarket but also a shop selling local fruit and vegetables amongst other things. It’s easy to find and an easy place to get to the town of Furnas with all the activities there. Although a bit of a drive to sete cicadas there is a fast road and well worth having a day there. I would highly recommend visiting the town of ribeira quente and staying at casa do lado

    I liked the area around the port, there is a wide choice of pleasant places to eat. I also liked the swimming area in the port, showers and changing rooms are paid but swimming is free. Parking can be complicated, our hotel advised us not to try to use the app to pay if you are in a hire car and this makes sense as we got a ticket and then there were three unpaid fines from the previous week added on. We visited the parking office with a copy of the rental agreement and got that sorted out. I highly recommend the gruta de carvao but it's very popular so book in advance and wear decent shoes as in places the floor is very uneven.

    We loved the quiet beauty of the home. Clean and comfortable and everything we needed was there. We enjoyed a tour of the East side with Manuel. Hot springs were lovely if you don’t mind walking on the basalt.
