Just like any other Saudi town - run down and nothing really to do. Mall was ok - very basic thou. Castle and fort was closed despite saying online that it was open. There is a lot of history around Al-Wajh and the city makes...
There is a lot of history around Al-Wajh and the city makes a good location to be based for further exploring the area such as Al-Zureb Fort/Castle along the old Egyptian Pilgrim Route (Darb Al-Haj Al-Masri), and the Camel rock. Tayma is off the beaten location in Saudi Arabia.
Tayma is off the beaten location in Saudi Arabia. It has few but very important sites of Saudi Arabian history from Iron age. Middle size city with a few nice locations such as the Park Mall and the castle. As a medium size city, nice to get a feeling of Saudi Arabia outside the (very) big cities. More spectacular is driving to Sharma on the coast and visit the new city NEOM or Wadi al Disah towards Duba. Tabuk is very Historical Place and within 300 kms from Tabuk...
Tabuk is very Historical Place and within 300 kms from Tabuk so many other historical places available which one must visit i. e Madyan , Madaen Saleh,Moses well, jabal al Loz. we enjoyed our stay for 2 nights but were very disappointed...
we enjoyed our stay for 2 nights but were very disappointed because the government has stopped the boat excursions for over a moth already...so no islands could be visited...the other Umluj beaches were not worth the trip.Guest review byRobNetherlands
