I love how Malmö has history and culture and modern buildings. It's a city that has grown and changed, and it's still revitalizing new areas. That makes the city feel vibrant. At then same time there is a very laid-back vibe. I appreciated how low-key Malmö is after visiting much larger European cities. It was very easy to use the bike to ride around the city. Considering that I am hard travelling person and visited many countries and cities, It was one of the best Hotel in my life. Everything was brilliant: rooms, bathroom. Linkoping is nice, Have been there a couple of times over the years visiting my daughter. This time I stayed at Scandic between trains as the location is excellent - close to the railway station and the city centre. I would stay there again if I get a cool room. I did stay there again 27 - 28/7 and got a cool room facing the street thanks to Abbe. He was very helpful and interacted very nicely with family with children at check-in. Arrived during medieval week, where the locals from baby's, to teens, to adult and the old, all get dressed in the local "traditional" costumes of an era long gone. Visby is one of the Hansa towns, so has great history of for the area and has kept its medieval look and feel with narrow streets (v.limited cars thank heavens), cafes by babbling streams, great restaurants with amzing staff who all spoke English - phew!
