The hotel is beautiful, stylish (it's a boutique hotel) and the breakfast! I can say it was the best of the whole trip, it's just fantastic! Not only visually wonderful, it's full of options and has just about everything! We loved it! The bed is super comfy, the room has a good size and is very well furnished and lit. The hotel has a restaurant and the food is excellent! And the window opens, even just a little , which is an important point for us, because we need a cool room to sleep and It's not often that the room temperature is cool enough for us to sleep in. The hotel has a very good location in Rovaniemi if you don’t want to drive, and has parking lot as well.

The location was in small village on the border with Norway, perfect for viewing the northern lights. The food was gourmet and impeccable. The staff very helpful and friendly. The hotel offers daily activities. The hotel itself was very well appointed and every detail was well thought out.     Clean atmosphere and surroundings, super comfortable room , great view outside, creative glass/treehouse. All sorts of toiletries, bathing gowns, slippers, umbrella, torch, and lots of towels were provided too. A beautiful bunk bed was there too. Extremely good staff. Kind, cooperative, and at our service. A car drops and picks up from the treehouse and vice versa. Lavish breakfast and customised service . Staff coming and inquiring if we needed something. It was season end, with very few guests still the staff was attending us and made customized food, even with the lavish buffet breakfast. Rakas restaurant ❤️🎈 We got an early check-in and late check out. Thanks to Elisabetta, Sofia, Krystal, Buddhini, Theo, Habib, and the restaurant personnel. Will surely visit again 😊

    We traveled in mid december and were mesmerized by the snow covered landscape all around. The traditional wooden house is very aesthetically designed, has a fully equipped kitchen with an electric sauna inside the bathroom. One is treated to stunning views right from the windows. The location is quite central (all essential facilities like the gas station, grocery store, restaurants etc. are within 2mins of driving distance) yet perfectly peaceful and quiet. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. We stayed for 3 nights and were lucky to see the northern lights from the apartment itself.

    Amazing experience to sleep in a snow hotel. Staff was extremely helpful and lovely. Everyone we met was very nice and kind. The sleeping bags really are warm! Did not get sick, enjoyed every minute of it! :) The hotel itself is beautiful to visit as well, public sauna was lovely before and after the night at the snow hotel. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The surrounding area great for fun snow activities.

    EVERYTHING! Can't fault it from the time we arrived to the time we left we were so well.looked after and the glass roof cabins are amazing, super cozy and tranquil.     Summer trip to Rovaniemi: Lapland was in a heat wave which held us back a bit as it was rather humid. We enjoyed Arktikum very much, went swimming in the river, walked in the Arctic Gardens and explored the town centre. We planned some hiking but it was hotter than we expected. At end of July, sunset around midnight for only a short time, which is cool.

    Saariselka is a wonderland in winter.

    Saariselka is a wonderland in winter. You can easily get all the required things such as food from K-market. There are lots of activities you can do in Saariselka such as skiing, snowshoeing, Ice Karting, bowling, Aurora Hunting tours, etc. You can easily reach here from Rovaniemi City by using public bus. There is a Ski bus that runs between Saariselka village and Saarselka Ski resort. I did my beginner ski lesson here. It was great. I spent my Christmas holidays here and most things are available to do. I did my skiing on Christmas day itself.

    I do ski (downhill) but would not ski in Jan/early Feb in Levi because of the poor light. However it is a great village to visit and not ski if you like winter walking or other snow based activities. The restaurants are very good and characterful if you choose wisely.

    Kilpisjärvi in winter is a magical experience. The village is located in the far north of Finland, in the heart of Lapland. It is a popular destination for winter activities such as skiing, snowmobiling, and ice fishing. Although it is small, you can find pretty many activities there - from taking a boat trip in Inari lake in the summer period, to visiting Side museum and doing northern light hunting in winter. PaPaNa pub is also a must to visit.

    Small town by the sea.

    Small town by the sea. The icebreaker, SAMPO, is the attraction of the town. If you are not interested in sailing in the iced sea,walking on the iced sea and floating in the sea, you needn't come here. I bought some pretty clothes in a small shop in Kemi. How happy!

    We erre here in winter.

    We erre here in winter. We made 2 tours from here and from Rovianemi. One is Aurora Borealis and the other one is a tours tó the frozen waterfalls. We really loved that there was snow here, the landscape was white, and alsó the trees.

    So great to watch the northern lights without any hassle.

    So great to watch the northern lights without any hassle. Just above you while you are on bed or few steps from your cabin. Just install the northernlight alert app and go enjoy your stay within the premises , it will sent alerts for the area you’re in and that’s what we did. Realy great experience and so magnificent to see the dancing colorful northern lights . Breathtaking . The location is perfect away from the city however the city center is not too far only around 5-6 kilometers.

    We were in Muonio in the summer time.

    We were in Muonio in the summer time. It was difficult to rent a boat for fishing. There are little tourism activities in the summer. After 5 nights with fishing, riding a bike and a small hiking, we had explored the area. I think, Muonio is much more interesting to visit in winter time.

    Ivalo itself was cute.

    Ivalo itself was cute. Not too touristy, much quieter than places close by and everyone so friendly with a well stocked supermarket. Not too many places to eat but it depends what you’re looking for. As a young family, it was perfect for us!
