Already upon arrival, our host welcomed us very warmly and made us feel comfortable, welcome and at home. The place is peacefully located on the stunning island of Öland, amidst fields, nature and with the current Royal residence Solliden and the Borgholm Slottsruin as neighbours. Guests will admire and love the rich history of the building and surroundings, as we did very much. The place, with its interior, just breathes this royal atmosphere. We spent our (3) nights in the annex next to the main building, with a very spacious bedroom and ballroom sized bathroom. All luxury was there, so was the peace and quiet needed for a good rest after days of exploring Öland. The menus offered are very very tasty and the service is just excellent, from early morning till late evening. We cannot thank the staff enough and wish our travel schedule had allowed us more time on the premises too, as during Summer, afternoon tea is also offered on specific days, which must be amazing to have in this setting. The host was really friendly and helpfull. We had a lot of room and a bbq besodemieterd the house. A lot to do, swim, paddleboat, football and volleybal. The outside seating looking out to the sea was so relaxing with great music. We also enjoyed the indoor pool. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The location is amazing, and the pizza in the restaurant is...
The location is amazing, and the pizza in the restaurant is great. We did not expect to find such good pizza in such a tiny place. :) It's dog-friendly, which is a great plus! The house we booked was well-equipped and in very good condition overall. However, I wish the management had taken better care to check if the previous owners had cleaned properly after leaving. It wasn't disgustingly dirty, but the previous occupants definitely did not follow the cleaning instructions. There were also too few cleaning supplies, and I wish the rugs were labeled—toilet rugs, for example, should be labeled so people don't use them to clean other parts. ;-)Guest review byThomasSweden
