Excellent choices of museums for all ages and interest, from ABBA to Vasa plus lots of history to discover. The Palace inside was ok, change of Guard always a spectacle to watch, the old city was very colourful with cobalt streets and traditional bars and restaurants. Lots of shopping malls, easy to go around by foot or with tube, surprisingly taxis/Uber were rather cheap compared to other services, overall a very stimulation city visit.Guest review byAndréSwitzerland - 6.0

Prefer arriving in Arlanda compared to other airports close to Stockholm as it's easy access into Stockholm. However on our arrival the tracks were down making it impossible to take either the train or Arlanda express - fortunately we had arranged stay in local hotel but pity anyone who wasn't in the same position.Guest review byMargaretaUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Easy access to Stockholm.
Easy access to Stockholm. Good range of shops in the mall of Scandinavia which is right next to the strawberry arena in Solna. The nature reserve at Rastasjons is great as there is a paved path and provides a peaceful close to nature walk with wildlife and you can also cycle round too. There are good transport links using the metro and train. Lots of lovely restaurants of various nationalities eg Greek, Italian and Japanese to mention a few. We ate at the Greek and Italian restaurants and the meals were delicious on both occasions.Guest review byToluUnited Kingdom - 10.0

great university town with lots of history. go to Gustavium -university museum - before your trip to the mounds as that had more artifacts and better explanation of excavations. Small museum at Mounds was also worthwhile.Guest review byHenryUnited States - 10.0
The unique architecture style, well preserved.
The unique architecture style, well preserved. A combination of old and new. People's diversity and nature! The down side: there are many things in construction or under reparations at the moment. I believe the government should invest more as Örebro has the potential to become a 'Disney Wonderland' kind of adventure.Guest review byEliana Van de CraatsNetherlands - 8.0

The Lars Lerin art gallery has beautiful paintings of Swedish landscapes by him. Boat trips from Innre Hamn (Inner Harbour) take you on trips out to islands and around town on the river for the price of a bus fare. Only in the summer months though. Walk along the river for beautiful views, see the old church, town hall etc. Plenty of cafes and restaurants especially around the town square. Have a coffee on the Stadshotell roof terrace with lovely views across the river.Guest review byHelenaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Vasteras is a midsize town on the shore of what to me seemed like large lake, later I realised it was see deep in the middle of Sweden with beautiful islands, deep forests around. The city center is small but nice.Guest review byPavelCzech Republic - 10.0
A quiet and safe city with a lot of immigrants.
A quiet and safe city with a lot of immigrants. Nice city center with a promenade along the sea that looks like a river. Beautiful surroundings with lakes. I was impressed by "Torekällberget", which is not promoted anywhere, but is better than "Skansen" (which is too expensive). Good public transport network.Guest review byZlatkoSlovenia - 8.0

It's a bit like being in the suburbs, but it is still easy to get about as the bus leaves from outstide the hotel it is only about 10 mins or so to get to Upplands-Väsby train station. I took a train from there to get to Stockholm city centre (getting off at Stockholm City). The travel ticket allows you 75 mins of travel time so the bus ticket and be used again (including on the train for 75 mins). Note: Stockholm city is literally a couple of mins walk to another station in the city centre called Stockholm Centrum (Stockholm Central Station). So, folk coming in on other train networks would get off there).Guest review bySamuelUnited Kingdom - 6.0

Must comment on public transport: very poor for tourist to access. Info sources very unclear: where and how to access. We ended up speaking with a worker in a train station, no help, other than to take an Uber. Also, why did we pay 40% more to taxi from the train station to hotel Birger Jarl, than to taxi from that hotel to the airport? And why doesn't the train service the airport? I have two nieces who wish to visit Norway, which we did. Do I tell them to extend their trip to Sweden?Guest review byWarrenUnited States
