- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.6Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 72 reviewsA very nice and helpful host. Probably the oldest house in the village, beautifully renovated, with many old artifacts (tools, photos, piece of clothing, shoes). We got a very large room, nicely furnished with old and new wooden furniture, a comfortable bed. A large, modern bathroom (bath tube and shower), with some old-style accents. A shared kitchen and a dining room are on the lower floor. You can also have your meal outside - there are some tables and chairs in a nice, quiet corner (expect some cats to visit you). The kitchen is well-equipped. You can prepare food there but there is also a nice, inexpensive restaurant 100m from the house (the grocery store is 50m away). No TV, no radio (what, actually, I appreciated) but a reliable Wi-Fi connection. Since it was really hot (30-35C), I was initially uneasy because of the lack of A/C. However, it turned out that the old house can keep a reasonably low temperature for most of the day. The village is not crowded with tourists. There are a few easier trekking paths one can take from there. You can easily (by car, by bus) reach mountain trails of any level of difficulty and length (e.g., starting from neighbouring villages or from Logarska Dolina).Guest review byMaciejPoland
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 234 reviewsMy family & I rented 2 rooms at this hotel. We had unexpected snow during our stay so spent more time indoors/at the property than we originally planned and we found it to be a comfortable & cozy place to hang out. The onsite restaurant was delicious, all meals, including breakfast were fresh and abundant. Some of the best traditional Slovenian food we had our entire trip was at this property. The staff was friendly & professional and the valley really is one of the most beautiful places in Slovenia.Guest review byMeganItaly
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.4Superb - What previous guests thought, 86 reviewsKatja is an amazing host. She was very welcoming to us and takes time to give you tips about the surroundings. The breakfast she prepares every morning is delicious with meat from their own farm. We also loved the cakes. There is a big garden in front of the house near the river where you can sit very nicely, there are a lot of things for kids to play with as well. The room was cute and cosy and very clean. The surroundings are amazing if you like nature. Don't hesistate to come to this place.Guest review byJidskeNetherlands
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.6Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 153 reviewsSpacious, bright rooms with the view of the mountains. Perfect location to explore Logar Valley. Breakfast - all home made drinks, jams, traditional cured meats. Very generous and reasonably priced. Valentina is the best hostess. So welcoming, warm and accommodating. I even had my haircut and blow dry by her, which felt amazing after long hikes. We had dinner at the restaurant next door and food was so good, fresh local ingredients. Would definitely come back to this place.Guest review byEgleAustralia

Host Sonja and Ziva were very helpful and welcoming. The room was big and had comfortable beds with air conditioning and fridge and coffee. The breakfast was delicious and homemade bread, cheese and jams were very refreshing. - Scored out of 10, guest rating 10.0Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 9 reviewsIt was a great stay! We are extremely satisfied with our choice: an incredible area, very picturesque views, wonderful hosts, it was comfortable and pleasant to stay there. The territory is secluded - you are left alone with nature) We also enjoyed the hot tub and sauna in the evening. Be sure to order local dairy products through the owners - they are extremely tasty. Highly recommend this chalet.Guest review byJarynaUkraine

- From US$230.30 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.6Exceptional - What previous guests thought, 81 reviewsDue to a heavy storm, the entire valley lost electricity. Great walks up the three valleys that are close bye.
Great walks up the three valleys that are close bye. We had coffee in the information centre in Solcava - staff were excellent. Did the scenic road looking down over the valleys - well worth the drive up and down.Guest review byDesUnited Kingdom - 6.0
The area is beautiful and hiking and biking is great.
The area is beautiful and hiking and biking is great. The grocery stores are severly lacking on fresh proteins. We cook alot and didn't like having to purchase plastic coated packaged meats. A decent butcher and pharmacy were at least 30 minutes away.Guest review byMary JoUnited States - 10.0

An excellent location for outdoor activities, especially hiking and cycling. The nature here is really beautiful and we visited this region several times. It also has several really nice restaurants with local specialties and organic food. This time we cycled to Pavličevo sedlo and along the panoramic road and went on a hike towards Matkov škaf. Last time we hiked to ancient cave Potočka zijalka and Ostrica mountain. We ate at the Majerhold mountain lodge below Pavličev sedlo, at the Žibovt farm by the panoramic road, and at the Ojstrica restaurant in the Logarska dolina. Everyone is very friendly. A bike or electric bike that can be rented is the most convenient means of transportation here.Guest review byMojcaSlovenia - 10.0

Solcava was a beautiful village, very close to Logar Valley.
Solcava was a beautiful village, very close to Logar Valley. The views are spectacular! The air is so fresh and crisp. It is very soothing for the soul. We hiked to Slap Rinka and drove the Panoramic Road. We would have liked to have more time for hiking and exploring. The only downside would be lack of restaurants. We were there in May, so I'm not sure if there may be more options in high season but we had a difficult time finding a place for dinner. The place we ended up was in Luce, Gostlina PR Lampi. The food was very good traditional Slovenian food and excellent wine. Our waiter had a wonderful personality and was a joy to visit with.Guest review byElaineUnited States
