This is a fab hotel. This is a review for the second time I've stayed here.
First off, it's great value for money. We paid 50 EUR a night for our room including breakfast. The rooms are clean, spacious and have balconies. Bonus is a great view of the tatras from some rooms.
The shower is hot, water is plentiful. And the wifi is good. Breakfast is so tasty - a buffet selection as well as the offer of hot cooked food. And the staff are friendly. They don't speak a huge amount of english, but you will get by.
You've got easy access to Slovak paradise and myriad hikes available on your doorstep.
Only thing of note is that food in the evening might finish early if they are very quiet. But, they will let you know in advance.
For the price you pay, I don't think this place could be any better. I'll be back. 100% recommend.

First, I'd like to note that we've got a higher class cottage - Javorina Comfort - for the same price (because of an error in a booking system). This comfort cottage has everything you need (refrigerator, electric stove, dishes, microwave). There are few nice restaurants nearby and one small grocery shop. Sucha Bela trail starts right behind the cottage. The camping territory is clean, the staff is very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay, and would definitely recommend this place.

Room is cosy and comfortable, with blackout blind.
Location is a perfect start for walks, no need to drive to the paid car parks.
Host is very friendly and welcoming.
Close to “u Hudáka” restaurant (a great way to end a long day of hiking) and shops.
The room has enough tableware and kitchenware to prepare breakfast, and enough space to eat comfortably.

Brilliant cottage. It contained all the essentials you need for a stay. Fireplace makes it even more cosy and the views are just breathtaking. The owner was super nice and always helpful. We’ll definitely be coming back.

These clean and modern apartments are stunning.
These clean and modern apartments are stunning. They are equipped with everything you need for a comfortable self catered stay. The host left lots of personal touches which were very much appreciated.
We chose an upstairs apartment for the balcony and a better view. This was the case, however there is still a lot of building work being carried out opposite which kind of ruined it.
The check-in was easy and explained well via a message. But unfortunately because this address isn’t registered on Google Maps yet, it’s a bit difficult to find. It is actually down an unmarked gravel lane. Easy once you know this, but the host didn’t mention this beforehand.
The area its self is perfect for exploring the National park. We did one of our walks from the apartment it’s self.
The apartment is going to be part of a holiday complex which will be very luxurious when finished. I think that it is reflected in the price currently charged (unfinished).
We really enjoyed our stay here. Thank you.

A great small town!
A great small town! Lots of shops and a great point to travel to Paradise park and castle in Spissky Podhradie by train... Great stay! Not hard to get around and a tourist office is a bit forward, on the left street from the stay... Nice! I recommend it!

A great base for wonderful hiking opportunities and river (Dunajec) activities, as well as relaxation. The nearby pedestrian bridge to the Slovakian side of the rivers also offers excursion options, especially to the "red monastery". Highly recommended!

Third time I've been to this lovely old walled town. Lots of wee Cafes, restaurants, ice cream shops. Town goes to bed quite early so don't expect a cabaret till two in the morning but do expected a peaceful night. You have easy access to a range of day trips to the west the high Tara mountains, to the south the Slovakian Raj (all hidden so google it to see the wonderful gorge walking) and to the east and north forested valleys with wooden churches to explore. Prices are great, whole place deserves more visitors.

Lublau (Ľubovňa) was, for me, a place of great historical importance, as Ľubovňa Castle is where, in 1412, the kings of Hungary and Poland signed the Treaty of Lublau, whose provisions had significant consequences for the countries of Central and South-Eastern Europe.
However, after visiting the town of Stará Ľubovňa, Ľubovňa Castle, and the open-air museum located nearby, Lublau became one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen – a remarkable example of how to present the history and cultural heritage of the Carpathian region.
The beauty of the landscape, the clean and well-kept streets and houses of Stará Ľubovňa, together with the qualities of its inhabitants – I met many wonderful, educated people who spoke widely spoken international languages – turn Lublau into a truly exceptional tourist destination, a place that first leaves you speechless and then turns you into a storyteller.

Rafting the river and hiking up to the top of the Three...
Rafting the river and hiking up to the top of the Three Crowns was fantastic as well as walking the developed trail along the Dunajec River. Rafting the river is unique and a "must do". The river trail however can be quite crowded especially for bicycle riders. Unfortunately, I could not find a good food store in the town but did find a small shop close to the Catholic Church on the other side of the river in Poland. Finally, touring the Monastery itself was inspirational, beautiful and educational. A great place to visit!

We hit upon the place while searching through google. While we were unsure of the trip, it was worth every second.
We started with a trip to the Spis castle, While it was unfortunate that we could only visit the surroundings, the view from the castle is worth the hike.
The region has a lot to offer. We visited the famous Dobsinska ice cave and Strbske Pleso, which is a beautiful little town with a lake.

The entire Spissky Region is absolutely beautiful. You can visit the large Castle ruins or explore the amazing Slovak Paradise National Park. All the villages around are also very interesting and you can see the majestic Tatra mountains nearby.

Hrabusice is an excellent base for hiking at the Slovensky Raj or High Tatras. It is also close to many historical sites. We loved staying at Ubytovanie at Emka. It was our second time in three years. It is a short walking distance to Restauracia u Hudaka that serves freshly cooked delicious meals at a great price.

I loved Spisska Nova Ves.
I loved Spisska Nova Ves. The old part of the town is very pretty and it is a short train ride to Poprod and from there to the mountains, which are beautiful. I wish I'd been able to stay here longer.
And I loved the art gallery. Not big but some really interesting exhibits.
Spisska is easy to walk around and the restaurants are great and not expensive.
The only thing I would avoid is the person in the park trying to convert me to their religion. But that is not Spisska's fault.
