- From US$589.19 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Superb - What previous guests thought, 195 reviewsThis is an oasis of calm in the mountains of Chiang Mai, it's like Japan has been transported to Thailand. The attention to detail, the level of service, incredible food, pampering at the onsen and massage. I went for a solo get away to recharge and loved every minute of it. it's the perfect place also to go with a partner or friend. I was particularly impressed by the decor, my bedroom size with a beautful balcony and swinging chair and last but not least with the restaurant: very high quality good from many different cuisines depending on your mood (so you don't always have to have Japanese food). Be sure to try the garden Onsen: it took me a day or two to discover it. I spent many an hour in the hot springs gazing up into the moon and sky.Guest review byJamesUnited Kingdom
- From US$313.23 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 751 reviewsWell this place is just a treasure. In a valley in the mountains. The main reception room and dinner rooms are spectacular. Bit and open to the elements. The pool area is well designed with 2 pool areas. Service is great. There are areas to meditate we used and really liked. Our room which was a upper mountain junior suite or something like that was just great. Big and tastefully designed. We spent a lot of time on the balcony which is big and private. We used this place to rest after 3 weeks travelling and it is just what we needed. It is a gem.Guest review byFlemingCanada
- From US$187.94 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very good - What previous guests thought, 172 reviewsLovely room with nice outside space. Nice walk to the swimming pool and dining area and the restaurant building was really elegant with a beautifully lit view and the reception area was very attractive too. Breakfast was good and the two dinners we had were high quality. I hope the resort will be able to encourage more people - I know the flooding in the area in October meant they had to cancel bookings. The staff were extremely courteous, friendly and helpful.Guest review byJoannaUnited Kingdom
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.8Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 301 reviewsIt was my favourite hotel in Chiang Mai so far. I stayed in Hop Inn Airport so I knew what to expect. They have european style high quality beds, which support your back really well. They cleaned my room every day while I was getting coffee. My balcony got sunlight for many hours, but the room didn't get hot and AC was top tier. The location is good. There's a lot of shops and restaurants within 1km radius. The area itself is quiet.Guest review byPetteriFinland

Most of all, great service; everyone was very helpful and kind. Loved the breakfast and food at the "Higher Room." The room was nice and spacious with a big comfortable bed. The fitness center was spacious, with a good amount of equipment than most hotels or resorts I've been to.Guest review byT5BKK71Thailand

Chiang Mai is a city of temples and scenic beauty.
Chiang Mai is a city of temples and scenic beauty. We loved the stay there and would definitely recommend for a short getaway from the busy life. We managed to get a good taxi driver Han who took us around the places and we managed to find good vegetarian/ Vegan food choices in the restaurants. It is quite budget friendly and you may want to choose the places you would like to visit. Traffic can be heavy during the morning rush hour and evening time. Night markets are amazing with a lot of handicraft choices. Do not forget to get a massage to relieve your stress. Botanical garden is a must visit place!Guest review byVPahwaSingapore - 10.0

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Lhong Chiang Dao Glamping in Chiang Mai, and I can confidently say it was one of the most incredible hospitality experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, the host and staff went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed and comfortable. Every request we made was met with genuine warmth and enthusiasm, which made our stay even more special. The glamping site itself is immaculately maintained, with cleanliness being a top priority. Surrounded by the soothing sounds of a nearby waterfall 24/7, it truly felt like we were immersed in nature. It’s the perfect place to disconnect from the hustle of everyday life and reconnect with the serene beauty of the outdoors. One of the most magical moments was at night—around 11 PM onwards, the sky came alive with countless stars, offering an awe-inspiring view you rarely get to experience in the city. If you’re looking for a solid glamping experience with unparalleled hospitality, breathtaking natural surroundings, and starry skies, Lhong Chiang Dao Glamping is the place to go. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful yet enriching escape. Thank you to the entire team for making this a stay to remember!Guest review byTanSingapore - 8.0

The homestay was perfect for us because we had a vehicle. It would be difficult for those who do not have a vehicle. We had a great time cycling around Mae Rim, including sections of the "Lanna Trail".Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

Lovely place for spending a relaxed weekend. Watch the sunrise over teh valley, stare into the clear skies and the stars at night. Visit the tribal villages, the fruit orchards (strawberries and oranges) and the flower gardens. Enjoy a tranquil time.Guest review bySanyamIndia - 10.0

Chom Tong is a small town about 1.5 hour from Chiang Mai. Travellers use it as the base to explore Doi Inthanon. There is a decent choice of F&B establishments, supermarket, cinema, etc. Best explored if you have transport (rental car or taxi service which can be booked by the day)Guest review byW SukiSingapore - 10.0

The property is far from anything and the road is quite hard to get up especially at night as there are no street lights. The view is easily the main attraction though as well as the bathtub. Food was the Moo Kata which was 490 which was about right for 2 people. Breakfast was okay.Guest review byPitak YindeeamornchaiThailand - 10.0

The kindness and helpfulness of our hosts made for an excellent stay. The free bikes loan gave us independence. The Fang Hot Springs a couple of kilometres away was fun and convenient. The surrounding scenery of onion fields was very pleasant. We saw many interesting birds including the siting of an Asian Barred Owlet at our breakfast location which completed the enjoyment of our stay.Guest review byFylesCanada - 10.0

Such a beautiful northern city within easy reach of the mountains, full of history, art and heritage. Fabulous places to eat and drink on every street. Brilliant markets with endless food options and great live music. Plenty of places to get a Thai massage, very reasonably priced. It's easy to fly to Chiang Mai, but why not take the train as we did! - a stunning scenic journey from Bangkok (10 hours but it went by quickly!) ... Chiang Mai is also a safe city with a very low crime rate. We felt safe walking the streets, whatever time of day or night. While you're there I especially recommend taking a cookery course - great fun and naturally delicious!Guest review byPeterUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Welcoming little town well worth visiting. The temple and the caves are great but the best thing for me was that I stumbled into a bar up near the cave which is called . . The Cave bar. This place has to be visited if at all possible. Wonderful hostess and a really chilled, funky vibe.Guest review byDavidUnited Kingdom - 8.0
