The reception was easy, we were allowed to check in early, the receptionist was gracious and helpful, spoke excellent English and provided us with a nice map and lots of information about the area such as good restaurants and things to do. A HUGE bonus is that they have Kayaks available to use, for FREE! So we stayed an extra day to Kayak the river and it was great fun. Also, bicycles are supplied free! Quiet place far away from the tourist crowds. Great beaches, nearly empty, amazing vegetation with lots of interesting places to see nearby. A good base to go exploring more south (we had a rental car) and close to the Myanmar border with all those hills. We stayed for 5 nights. The beach is lovely with soft white sand. There were plenty of local restaurants close to the beach and also western food. There were only a few small shops.
