I had a great time at Moon Travel Phangan. Jon the owner was super friendly and helpful the entire time..he gave advice on what to go see on Koh Phangan, recommended bars and a place to rent a scooter. He let me switch to a nicer room right on arrival He gave me a great deal when I extended my stay and even drove me to the taxi station when I left. The room itself was clean and comfortable, with a little balcony to hang out in the evening. I slept really well (my room was towards the road, so people motorbikes could be heard quite well, but with earplugs this was no problem). The room had a fridge and a shower with hot water. When I come back to Koh Phangan, I will stay here again for sure!

We had a room with a large balcony and it was great. It was a large and cosy room with a big and comfortable bed and good sitting space. The bathroom and shower were great with good pressure and hot water. The employees at the frontdesk are really nice and helped us with everything. Also the people at the bar and restaurant are very friendly. We had a great time and I would recommend the place. Would love to come back when I'm around.

We ate pad thai and Tom kha soup there which were delicious! Super staff who helped a lot with organization. Located in a chill beach. Tbh loved all small details surf this trip.

The place is few meters from the beach..you can easily go to the beach in your swimsuit if you want..it's on the opposite side of the road..you can see a corridor in front of the resort. Everything you need is just there. Perfect position! The receptionist with a beautiful name Palm, she's so lovely person, she can speak English very well and she's always there for you. So kind and professional! Also the guy who takes care of the swimming pool! He works with dedication! Always there! Never tired! Big smile and also he can speak English! I really loved stay there!

    The breakfast was amazing. The room was absolutely gorgeous. The staff here went above and beyond and are honestly amazing at their jobs. We had an issue being charged twice, they were very efficient sorted it straight away for us and didn't want to cause any problems for us. I had a massage at this hotel and it was the best in Thailand. Would definitely recommend visiting the spa. The restaurant is also exceptional with good quality food.

    Amazing experience, exceptional restaurant, we had 2 dinners and 1 breakfast there. The view is wonderful from the pool, the room and the restaurant. They have access to 2 beaches and both are incredible. The staff was very kind, they helped us with the rent of a motorbike and pickup from the pier. In general, it was very worth it for the price.

    Private villa with our own pool that was cooling also when the infinity pool and sea were too hot. Beautiful and well-kept garden. This area sometimes has too low seawater level due to tide but in front of our hotel it was always possible to go into water. Very nice staff! As we stayed 2 weeks we got to see fireworks 3times.

    Not the nicest part of island.

    Not the nicest part of island. Geared towards full moon party, laughing gas and fire shows. Quiet when not full moon in a nice way but the town is run down. Haad Rin beach is beautiful though. Saw quite a few families which was nice. Rented our bike from here and explored the island for a few days. Road between Haad Rin and Thong Sala and everywhere else on the East/West of the island is very steep hills to ride by bike.

    I choose to stay in Bann Tai for its central location. There are much nicer locations on the island to stay, however if you are like me, and like to explore, then this location is best as its in the middle of the coast line, and its close to central heart road ways that take you to any part of the island quickly.

    Amazing place on the island.

    Amazing place on the island. Lots of cafe's, restaurants and more. Nothing is too far really, jump on the bike and go 15min to another spot, be very careful in the corners when riding your bike......lots of people get a "Koh Phangan" tattoo there meaning they crash and the scars. Sand in corners means, slow down!!! I recommend Papaya Massage for great Thai and oil massage. Enjoy a great beautiful Phangan.

    Lovely area on Koh Phangan. Many local and also westernised food places (Ann's and Shish Kebab were our favourites!), shops and of course pristine beaches. Worth hiring a scooter to explore around and enjoy the island vibes.

    Aside from the turquoise water, there is a reef just a few yards from the shore where you can snorkel and see beautiful fish, big clams, and coral. Although much of the coral is bleached and dead, there's enough living coral there for adults and kids to enjoy. Since the water is shallow, it's safe to walk all the way out where it gets a little deeper for better snorkeling. The beach is a white sand beach, but we recommend swim shoes which are available at a little grocery store, along with snorkel masks. Many beachside restaurants to choose from. Although there is no public shower, some restaurants have an outdoor shower available.

    I was in haad rin beach, it pretty much is a village. A nice one, but no sidewalks, everything is cheap, a bit dirty. Compared to Phuket it really is a small village. But the full moon party was amazing, so much fun! So it definitely was worth it!

    Location - it was like a dream. And they had a broom right outside our door so when the inevitable sand was tracked into our room, we could clean it up. We never ate in the restaurant so I can't say how it was, but the other options nearby were excellent. If you're staying longer than 3 nights and want to see more than just the hotel and its surroundings, you'll want to rent a scooter.

    I was expecting Haad Rin to be more crowded, dirty, and over touristy. But it wasn't! Yes, there are plenty of shops and bars and the streets are a little lively, but the beach itself is spacious, clean, and so relaxing. We aren't partiers and we had a fantastic stay in this area.
