we loved it all :) rooms are beautiful, comfortable and they were cleaned everyday. we stayed for 7 nights and would happily stay more. our lovely receptionist made our stay here better than we expected. she would always welcome us with her beautiful smile and the best recommendations to enjoy the island. we rent our bike with them, booked a snorkeling trip and laundry service too. location was great for us, it’s not in the center - like sairee beach - but it’s halfway for everything and it’s a good place to relax and chill. they also offer a free taxi service from the pier to the hotel and the other way around too!! we totally recommend and would be back :)

I had a wonderful stay at the Mar Ozo Hotel. The girls at reception were so nice, kind, and extremely helpful, which made check-in a very pleasant experience. The rooms were spotless and well-maintained, with a really nice bathroom and very comfortable beds. The air conditioning worked perfectly, and there was always hot water available. I also appreciated the little details like water in the fridge and being well taken care of while waiting for the room to be ready. Overall, an excellent stay – highly recommended!

We had the most amazing time at Shiva Lodge! Everyone was so kind and welcoming and we felt very much at home. Really good place to stay in Koh Tao. The bed was very comfortable, the AC cooled super well and the staff is very friendly. Gi knew how to attend to all our needs. We were going to stay only for 5 nights and we ended up extending up to 9 nights. I would definitely go back to this place! (Most of the island was without electricity several times because they are making renovations in the electricity supply , but the hotel apparently has its own generator because we always had light!)

Well, everything was incredible. From the moment we booked the hotel to the moment we left, everything exceeded our expectations. This family-run hotel reached out to us after booking to confirm our stay (6+ months in advance). Upon arrival we were greeted by friendly smiles and very helpful tips on what to see and where to find things on Koh Tao. They sent us a message in the app with everything from viewpoints, restaurants, and local services we might be interested in. The room was very clean, the balcony had a nice cozy feel to it, and the laundry service offered was efficient. I can't speak highly enough about the cafe tied to the hotel. This entire hotel is family-run including the cafe. Their menu is excellent and offers a variety of homemade meals to cater to everyone. The food was fresh and the croissants...well, the croissants are some of the best we've ever had (especially the chocolate croissants)! Their location is ideal for couples or families looking to get away from the party beaches while still only being a 15 minute walk away from everything. Our 2 week trip across Thailand was made memorable largely from The Big Tree Boutique Hotel. If, and when, we come back I will certainly be staying here on Koh Tao.

    Our Villa was stunning, amazing views with incredible sunsets. Kitchen was well equipped and bed was super comfy. But our stay was made by the staff. They go above and beyond for your stay.     Nice clean room and bathroom, we stayed on the bottom floor next to the pool, really short walk to a lovely beach area. Staff were helpful and supportive throughout our stay, able to organise transfers. The area was nice and we walked 10 mins in each direction to find shops, restaurants and cafes. Some lovely excursions available .

    Gorgeous stay. Hotel had a 24/7 golfcart service as our room was quite far back on the hill so that was very helpful after a big day of diving! The grounds were incredible and the location was so perfect. The staff were very helpful. There are 4 swimming pools!!

    Fantastic location.

    Fantastic location. I wish they could do little more on the breakfast . The room is ok. I don't like when you have to take shoe off when you go in the lounge or the restaurant. The lounge need to updated. Staff resting on rhe sofa too which is weird.

    Koh Tao is still one of the few raw escapes in Thailand in...

    Koh Tao is still one of the few raw escapes in Thailand in my opinion, its divers and back packers heaven. However as a father with 2 kids in my forties i absolutely loved it. If you step away from the busy areas and off the beaten track you can find amazing coves and hiden gems still. The tourism all over the world has killed so much of our wildlife and reefs. The locals are definitely trying to do all they can to save it. Brilliant food, amazing views and a fun island.
