- From US$83.82 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.6Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 422 reviewsKoh Mak resort is a lovely place conveniently located right by the pier which is handy when you arrive or leave or take a boat to neighbouring Koh Kham island . we have found lot of new Thai friends here who made us feel very special . the manager who calls herself Sauce is lovely and very accommodating, helpful and efficient . anything we needed , she assisted promptly and always had a smile on her face . restaurant and bar staff became practically like a family to us on the first day . my daughter took special shine to a barman called Mr Nu and followed him everywhere. he was very attentive and kind to her throughout our stay . they all were . when we were leaving , they walked us to the pier and hugged us and waved goodbye . to be honest we didn’t want to leave and we’re so sad to leave them behind . the resort is lovely and the rooms are very spacious with plenty of storage space . plus they are right on the beautiful beach . Koh Mak Resort also has a little shop on the premises . there is an old lady called Attiya that runs it and she is like a grandma anybody would want . so sweet and always had a kind words for us and my daughter , even gave us some free gifts from her lovely shop . make sure you’d pop in to say hello . we also bought few things there , she has some lovely clothes for sale :) The beach is lovely and when the tide is out you can walk to the furthest end towards Turtle Beach , just beware of stray dogs that are often moving in packs .Take a coconut or sharp rock in case they get aggressive , they usually scamper off fast when you threaten them with it and shout Pai in a loud voice ! we loved Koh Mak resort , everything about this place was amazing and we felt super welcome throughout our stay there . we would definitely be back !Guest review byTanyaSlovakia
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 574 reviewsCan definitely recommend White Sand Beach resort on Koh Mak. The island itself is small and lovely, perfect for those seeking solitude. The resort was calm even though there were several other guests. Staff is very friendly. There are small beaches surrounding the resort with a great view. Breakfast and restaurant served good food, but the best food on the whole island can be found at “Q bar” at a walking distance from the resort! You can rent a scooter at the resort for a good price.Guest review byAndreasFinland
- From US$55.88 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 7.8Good - What previous guests thought, 226 reviewsGreen View Resort is a very beautiful and peaceful place run by a friendly and welcoming family. The view is really wonderful and the restaurant serves a variety of delicious Thai dishes and fruit shakes at affordable prices. The bungalows are basic and very clean. The beach is best for swimming when the tide is high, but the rest of the island is easily accessible with scooters for rent at a good price. This is a place I hope to come back to!Guest review byImislundNorway
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.4Very good - What previous guests thought, 169 reviewslocated right on the beach, with a little beach bar, serving drinks and food throughout the day to night. the room was exceptionally clean (& cleaned daily). the owners were so friendly and helpful with all our needs & requests. located next to a smaller pier with boats running twice a day to: Kood, Chang & Trat you can also get a smaller boat to Koh Kham for snorkelling. we loved it so much we extended for another 3 nights!Guest review byAmyNetherlands
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 7.9Good - What previous guests thought, 112 reviewsBeautiful view from the terrace and swimming pool. Resort is located on a hill and very, very quiet. Close to the "center" of restaurants and shops. Islanda staff is absolutely fantastic. The hotel restaurant offers delicious food - papaya salad, the best on the island:))They make You fell like You are in home. It was our second time in this place and we hope we will come back.Guest review byMichałPoland
- From US$93.14 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very good - What previous guests thought, 367 reviewsThe room was Beach Front No.1 and the waterfront was 2m away! Perfect - the view was unbroken - the best view we’ve had from any hotel. Staff were amazing, able to organise our boat transfer and motorbike rental at the front desk. Bike was brand new and in turn extremely safe as nothing was worn. Location is away from the hustle of the main beach but we like that.Guest review byBeniUnited Kingdom
- From US$55.88 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Fabulous - What previous guests thought, 143 reviewsNatural place ( the garden well maintained, lots of beautifull butterflies, etc... ), full of flowers, sunrise, sunset. Personnel extremely relaxed and helpfull ( read: spirit of koh Mak is living overthere ). A special place where you truly feel "disconnected" from the busy world, but really are connected with nature :).Guest review byStevenBelgium

Clean and spacious the bungalow has a balcony that overlooks the garden. Hire a scooter at this resort, the bikes are good and it's lovely and quiet on the island so riding to explore the beaches and restaurants is fun.Guest review byamandaUnited Kingdom

Koh Mak is quite small but beautiful and has a lot of nature. Good kick-boxing school. Variety of good eating places Koh Mak seafood being one of them. It is far more relaxed than Koh Chang with less to do but I actually found the peacefulness and serenity more alluring. The people are friendly and it has a up early sleep when the sunsets kind of vibe but also if you want to be out later you can. There are some very picturesque beaches and bars. Also a variety of takes on food By the sea has great sandwiches etc. If the weather turns bad then this is when the boredom may be an issue. However I loved the thunderstorms and lightening shows. Best I had ever seen.Guest review byMarty TUnited Kingdom - 10.0

After researching on Google satellite I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. Much lusher and more tourist-friendly than I expected. Though it's a small island, there's enough there to explore more than we could in 3 nights. And it is the ideal launching site to visit the famous diving and snorkeling sites around Koh Rang island. Five nights would be adequate, unless you're a snorkeling/diving addict, then maybe more.Guest review byFredUnited States - 8.0

Very small island which is still kind of rural and not very touristy. That also means that there are not many amenities or fun things you can do. Accommodations are more basic, food or bar options are limited, and you've seen all of the island in a few hours. But you can also have a perfect chill time without any noisy tourist crowds or big loud party areas. Beaches are great. If you want more action, just take the ferry to Ko Chang (once a day).Guest review byTyeJ_travelGermany
