- From US$49.58 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Superb - What previous guests thought, 127 reviewsWe stayed 5 nights in the suite at Good time and were very comfortable. The rooms & balcony were a good size. The balcony had a view over the beautiful gardens. The hot water shower and AC worked well, and there was a decent size fridge to keep our drinks cold. We were collected from the pier on arrival in a cute electric golf cart - bonus points for being green! The staff Mr Peak and Lek were friendly and helpful. We rented a cute scoopy scooter from Mr Peak for 200 baht /day in very good condition (hope in future there might be an affordable electric option too, better for the environment). It was nice that they had such beautiful grounds to walk about in and a swimming pool. We loved musing at the interesting & unique character of each of their other buildings scattered about the complex gardens. Daily housekeeping was available on request, as well as change of linens. We could also get water refills at reception , and buy an espresso for 35 baht (comes with a biscuit). The Wi-Fi worked well, great for remote working. there are comfortable chairs and tables to use, and a decent size wardrobe with a sufficient amount of hangers. The area is peaceful and quiet, with good beaches in walking distance as well as small convenience stores and a couple local Thai restaurants all within around or less than 15 minutes walk.Guest review byMariaUnited Kingdom
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.3Very good - What previous guests thought, 198 reviewsGreat little resort less than 10 minutes walk from the pier. You don't get disturbed though as any boats are quiet and don't come along very often. The place is great! Right on the beach you can watch sunrise from your own private terrace although we opted to walk down the steps onto the beach where there are some seats/hammocks dotted around. The room itself was clean, bed was super comfy and we had some quality sleep with the sound of the waves to sooth us. Was nice to have a good sized room with a terrace to dry our clothes. The first day we walked to some restaurants about 20 minutes away but decided to rent a motorbike as other beaches and restaurants are usually a 5-10 minute drive. The resort serve reasonably priced food both western and Thai (just in the morning and evening), with an idyllic view. When we left they also helped take our bags to the pier and I even forgot an item of clothing which they very kindly put on a boat to Koh Kood so I could collect it on the other side. Overall, really enjoyed our stay and would recommend!Guest review bySimonUnited Kingdom

Woman at the reception is super kind and sweet, she helped us a lot with scooter, where to go, with transfers, and always with the smile on the face. Thank you for everything, and for this lovely stay in your hotel we had an amazing time. Would love to come back.Guest review byZrinkaCroatia
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.2Superb - What previous guests thought, 574 reviewsThe staff at the resort are truly the best and most friendly I've ever encountered! I absolutely loved everything about my stay there – from the clean and beautiful rooms to the delicious breakfast and amazing restaurant food. The beach was fantastic, and the complimentary hour of kayak rental each day was a wonderful addition. We took advantage of it to kayak to the closest island, and it was an amazing experience.Guest review byLianUnited States

From the restaurant, located on a hill, you can enjoy both sunrises and sunsets. We visited at the beginning of the season, so the resort was still undergoing some final renovation and cleaning work, but it did not affect our stay.Guest review byKiniaG.Poland

Koh Mak is quite small but beautiful and has a lot of nature. Good kick-boxing school. Variety of good eating places Koh Mak seafood being one of them. It is far more relaxed than Koh Chang with less to do but I actually found the peacefulness and serenity more alluring. The people are friendly and it has a up early sleep when the sunsets kind of vibe but also if you want to be out later you can. There are some very picturesque beaches and bars. Also a variety of takes on food By the sea has great sandwiches etc. If the weather turns bad then this is when the boredom may be an issue. However I loved the thunderstorms and lightening shows. Best I had ever seen.Guest review byMarty TUnited Kingdom - 10.0

After researching on Google satellite I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. Much lusher and more tourist-friendly than I expected. Though it's a small island, there's enough there to explore more than we could in 3 nights. And it is the ideal launching site to visit the famous diving and snorkeling sites around Koh Rang island. Five nights would be adequate, unless you're a snorkeling/diving addict, then maybe more.Guest review byFredUnited States - 8.0

Very small island which is still kind of rural and not very touristy. That also means that there are not many amenities or fun things you can do. Accommodations are more basic, food or bar options are limited, and you've seen all of the island in a few hours. But you can also have a perfect chill time without any noisy tourist crowds or big loud party areas. Beaches are great. If you want more action, just take the ferry to Ko Chang (once a day).Guest review byTyeJ_travelGermany
