The team was super helpful and welcoming. A Hidden Gem in Koh Samui We stayed at Moorea Hotel for two nights on a last-minute booking and were absolutely blown away. The hotel is stunning—modern, clean, and exudes a welcoming, family-like atmosphere. Our room, the Pool Suite, was spacious and beautifully designed. The property itself is a true oasis, surrounded by lush greenery, and the pool is absolutely breathtaking. What really sets this place apart, however, is the staff. Everyone was incredibly kind and accommodating, making us feel right at home. It truly is a peaceful retreat in Koh Samui, and I could’ve easily stayed longer. The food at Lou Lou’s restaurant was exceptional—definitely a must-try. We thoroughly enjoyed every bite! If you're looking for a serene, luxurious stay in Koh Samui, Moorea Hotel is a real gem!

It was the beast place I visited in Thailand. Cozy location located in Tropicals, surrounded by palms, every morning there are roosters crowing. Every detail in bungalow is well-planed. Each bungalow has a name of the flower, it’s clean, water provided every day. The hosts are so kind, they provided me tips and places to visit. There is an opportunity to rent a scooter. Also they helped me with the transfer after checkout and saved me from being late for the ferry.

The owner was so nice and helpful! You had a cute little balcony with sun in the morning. The area is great with some cozy restaurants near by. Plus a 7/11 around the corner. The room was clean and very comfortable. They had a safe code and security guard by the entrance, so you felt safe. All in all a lovely hotel with the most helpful owners.

The hotel was a very pleasant experience for our family. As a family of 5, coming in after a long and exhausting flight, we were offered a room to relax in until our rooms were ready for check-in. The front desk and breakfast staff extremely helpful, as were the kids club staff. I highly recommend Gift from the spa, the treatments are exceptional.

Palm Trees and Pristine Seas

One of Thailand’s most famous islands, Koh Samui (or Ko Samui) is a tropical paradise whose palm trees emerge from the pristine white sands at unbelievable angles, and whose offshore reefs make for great diving.

The most developed resort is Chaweng, though most bars and clubs are set back from the beautiful beach, so the views are still wonderful. Slightly less lively is Lamai, though its beach is no less impressive. Both of these resorts are home to a large number of Koh Samui hotels with private pools, a popular requirement of many visitors, despite the wonderfully warm waters.

Lipa Noi in the west faces Thailand’s east coast and has some beautiful sunsets, while the northern fishing village of Bo Phut is gaining in popularity. Nearby Mae Nam and Cheong Mon both have sweeping beaches that gently shelve into the sea, making them popular family choices.

Travellers don't go tot Koh Samui for its sights – but interesting attractions include the Big Buddha at Bangrak’s Wat Phra Yai temple, and the Wat Khunaram Ko Samui temple inland from Hua Thanon.

    The moment our van approached the entrance of Centara Villas Samui, each family members felt “Yes! Holidays begins!”. Friendly team members welcomed us to an open air lobby with tamarind tea and sticky palm sugar + durian candies. We are 4 adults and 2 children and stayed at the deluxe spa rooms which comes with a cute little Santorini inspired porch, clean and beautiful wooden interior rooms, comfortable beds with a window couch and the best of all a balcony with a jacuzzi!!!! They offer 3 lovely pools with plenty of sun chairs, towels. The landscape was simply stunning with flower plants. A private beach was our hangout place and they offer complimentary kayaks for the guests to use. We ate there almost every night and look forward to the different theme nights they offered. They really did a good job to welcome Christmas and New Year Eve (unfortunately we could not experience this as their rooms were already fully booked for the 31 Dec). Delicious local and fusion dishes. Breakfast spread was also good and they make an effort to change the menu every day. We enrolled in the cooking class and was very happy to cook 4 local dishes for lunch. Definitely impressed with the efforts taken by the Chef to teach us the Thai Cuisine. And when you are at Centara, you need to relax those muscles and go for the well-deserved massage and manicure and pedicure at their spa. Thank you Centara Villas Samui for offering my family an oasis away from the heavily touristed crowd. Your place was the perfect place for us to laze and relax and find calmness. Your team members were always friendly, helpful and attentive. We look forward to come back :)

What we loved most during our stay in this hotel is how the team pay attention to details especially when it comes to satisfy their Client needs.     Chaweng is a beautiful destination for a chill out holiday The Jungle Tour is definitely worth doing & don't be afraid to barter the price Lots of eateries with great selection of food to choose from Fishermans Market is very pretty at night & there are bargains to be had If you hire a car or scooter - by careful if you like to dabble in the Green because the Police will pull you over & you will get a hefty fine - not worth it - grab a taxi or the local rides (which are cheap)

    For us this was an expensive stay but worth every cent.

    For us this was an expensive stay but worth every cent. There were so many wonderful activities on offer but I just wanted to relax and enjoy the luxuriousness. The staff were particularly friendly and helpful. The breakfast was a highlight. A morning walk and swim down to Lamai beach is a must to build your appetite.

    The Fisherman's Village was fantastic.

    The Fisherman's Village was fantastic. No car or scooter access at night made for lovely walks along the street, seeing the markets and bars and restaurants in relative peace. Plus none of the typical sleazy Thai bars/clubs.

    Love the coastal areas & the variety of beaches in Mae Nam...

    Love the coastal areas & the variety of beaches in Mae Nam as well as the differing local food cultures. I especially liked the relaxed beach at Baan Fah Resort where the water was deep enough to swim just a short distance from the shore - a truly great beach. The best coffee house in Samui has to be Hachiya Coffee Roastery. And I highly recommend G- Bike Rentals.

    Beautiful smallish beach Nice to Walk to the end and to the cape fahn on separate private island - we went in the water was pretty clean little murky but probably was just the day and the fact that there are so many hotels on the island

    There are only two bungalows facing the beach and they are AMAZING!! We did not want to leave our hotel. Some of the other rooms looked nice too but faced the garden walkway. One bungalow faced a concrete wall. You get what you pay for. Loved this place so much.

    This is a great tourist destination.

    This is a great tourist destination. Glad we went during the low-season as it made for small, tolerable crowds. Plenty of activities and sights to do and see - we only brushed the surface with our short time there. Go for at least one week. Two would be better. The surrounding Gulf of Thailand offered lake-like calm, turquoise waters. Views everywhere are stunning. We Weill have to return again in the future. Highly recommend, especially the low-season.

    I traveled around the island in taxis.

    I traveled around the island in taxis. That was really the only way to get around if you did not rent a bike or car. Many attractions to see such as waterfalls, temples, walking street for shopping, elephant sanctuary, big budda & Nathon pier. On my return I will take a ferry to a neighboring island.This would be easy from Nathon pier.

    Chaweng Noi Beach was one of my favorite spots on Koh Samui. It’s incredibly beautiful — soft white sand, calm turquoise water, and a peaceful atmosphere that feels like a little escape from the busier parts of the island. I loved how quiet and relaxed it was, perfect for swimming or just lying under the sun. The view with the green hills around was stunning. That said, it’s not the best during low tide — the rocks and coral can make it tricky to get in the water. Also, there’s not much going on nearby in terms of shops or nightlife, and some areas can get a bit pricey because of the luxury resorts. Still, for a calm beach day with amazing views, I’d go back in a heartbeat.

    Loved our room! It was very spacious,clean & comfortable. The bed and pillows met our expectations. The pool was huge! Great for children or grown ups. A very ambient,quiet resort set on the beach front. The beach chairs are very comfortable and the best place to chill with a book or take in the amazing views. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The location is very peaceful and we ordered a taxi or grab to go to dinner in the evening. We had drinks at the Hotel pub one evening. Overall a great stay & value for the rates. The breakfast was sufficient …eggs and fresh fruit/toast/pastries. Handy if you have a motor bike to get around the Island as grab is expensive. .
