The location is amazing! They have a very nice cafeteria at the reception, with a pool where you can chill. The rooms are big and bright and the staff at the reception (especially the guy) made my days. The kindness and sense of humour put a smile on my face too. I will definitely come back.

The owner is obviously someone who treats her guests as well as her rooms the same way she’d like to be treated if she was a guest. The room was squeaky clean, minimal rooms with all you need, the location is amazing, the food was excellent. The rooms have hot water with a very good pressure, fresh and good smelling linen, they even had mosquito deodorant. Everything was very well looked after. This was really the highlight of our trip.

The service was exceptional—the staff was incredibly kind, attentive, and made sure every little detail was taken care of. The resort was spotlessly clean, and the hospitality went above and beyond. The pool may be small, but it’s a lovely, peaceful spot to relax and enjoy the surroundings. One of the most thoughtful touches was the little gifts they left in our room before bed, making us feel so welcome. They also knew we had an early morning check-out and prepared a food box for us to take on the road, which was such a kind and thoughtful gesture. Pai Village Boutique Resort is a true gem, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Pai. Thank you to the amazing team for making our stay so special!

    The property is beautiful and so well thought out, heaps of little seating areas and places to relax. The restaurant area is beautiful, comfortable, and shady. The breakfast was one of our favourites from five weeks in Thailand. the fresh fruits and made to order dishes were delicious and paired wonderfully with the buffet choices. The room was spacious and perfect for us. We had access to the water and our child loved kayaking from the deck. The transport to town was super useful, but we also chose and loved the walk back from town in the evening. The perfect distance from town. The pool was also big and very clean. We extended our stay to enjoy this place longer!

    Much needed spot to relax on the MHS loop, good value for money and I think the photos on here don't do it justice really. It was way nicer than I was expecting and you get what you pay for.     Nothing to see except nearby shrine on tophills with stunning view of the town. Proximity to few Karen tribe villages. Besides that the town itself has nothing to offer. No life on streets and most of business closed after 8 pm.

    It was worth the three hour trip from Pai on the most winding roads through the hills. Top tip - take a travel sickness pill. A small town that's geared up for a massive influx of visitors who on average only stay one night. Plenty of good restaurants and the 40 minute nightime trip around the lake is the highlight. Lots of good photo/video opportunities.

    The area around is beautiful situated in the mountains. The roads bend and rise up and down with very little traffic. There are many local restaurants offering cheap local foods. A great place to stop while travelling around the area.

    We stopped off at Khun Yuam as we had visited the yellow flower fields at Thung Bua Tong which are in flower in mid November. We were then on our way to Pia. We only stayed one night which was enough to see what the town had to offer.

    Pai is a sleepy little hippie village surrounded by mountains. There are no AirBnB tours and no Trip Advisor tours. The streets are lined with tea shops, restaurants, bars, coffee joints and lots of weed shops. Riding scooters here is super dangerous. I’d say about 5-10% of the other travelers had crashed their scooters and were bandaged up. Everything is walkable. So not worth the risk. Loved Pai. Lots of Britts being rowdy at night but bars close at Midnight, so they all have to go home. During the day, it is so sleepy.

    I booked a 4 pax room which has the best view in my opinion. I felt the facilities, the room space and cleanliness are beyond my expectation. What I don't like is the steel slope pavement to my accommodation.

    Mae Sarioang is the one crossroad of the R108 and R105...

    Mae Sarioang is the one crossroad of the R108 and R105 between Mae Hong Song in the North, Mae Sot in the South and Hot/Chiang Mai to the East. Mae Sariang is for many an overnight stop from one of those places to one of those places, what does not gives Mae Sariang the attention it deserves. It is a great hub, for a good number of day trips into the mountain, to and along the Salaweng river and to a great number of viewpoints on relatively good paved roads and some dirt roads. It has conserved the old days charm of a slower Northern Thailand / Lana small town with enough bars, restaurants and coffee shops to fill a week. A good place to stay a bit longer and explore the hill tops, river villages and coffee plantations, before you are heading off to the next point.

    Ten years ago this might have been heaven on earth. Today, it's overrun with party-hungry, mostly British tourists, who are loud, numerous and disrespectful. Such a shame, really, as the town is charming and the nature is lush, but it's just too much of that drinking-puking-yelling vibe to be enjoyable.

    A small town which most people use as a stopover on the Mae Hong Son Loop. It is a lovely place with some lively local spots on the river. Trekking and rafting available. Recommend Ching Ching bar for drinks and Redwood and Coriander restaurant for great food. Cheap massage in local spots.
