Staying at Sunshine Hotel on Soi 8 is a good location (close to the beach & bars / walking street). The price for the room with breakfast included was the best thing because it allowed me to stay for 29 nights. The options of eating street food or at restaurants close by is also an advantage. I like this area because it is a short distance to the hustle and bustle of Pattaya or Jomtien, but it is quieter and less expensive. If you're looking for a party atmosphere, this isn't it. hill side villa does not have swimming pool attached in the house you have to walk 4 minutes walk to the public pool . You have to check the photo clealy before made booking. The villa have no car park in the house you have to park beside the road in front of the house. The villa have 2 bedrooms but have only one air condition in one bedroom the other room have only the fan. The villa is not well maintenance even have wifi but didn't work. I liked being out of the city - even though it takes a while to get there. I like that I didn't have to go through security. It would have been nice to have actual numbers on the outside of the units (any of the village!) because the map location was for the unit in front of it. South Pattaya was a great location for us but we did find it difficult in getting transportation to the hotel to be able to travel into town. Getting home was okay as there were plenty of transport options to get you home.
