The breakfast was a highlight each morning—delicious, fresh, and a great way to start the day. While the resort is a bit far from the main areas, it didn’t feel inconvenient. There’s a cozy café on-site with reasonable prices, a grocery shop within the resort, and Grab delivery available in under 30 minutes, which made everything very easy. It truly felt like a mini retreat, and I left feeling relaxed and refreshed. I only wish I could have stayed longer, but I had another trip already booked. Koh Tao is still one of the few raw escapes in Thailand in my opinion, its divers and back packers heaven. However as a father with 2 kids in my forties i absolutely loved it. If you step away from the busy areas and off the beaten track you can find amazing coves and hiden gems still. The tourism all over the world has killed so much of our wildlife and reefs. For us this was an expensive stay but worth every cent. There were so many wonderful activities on offer but I just wanted to relax and enjoy the luxuriousness. Not the nicest part of island. Geared towards full moon party, laughing gas and fire shows. Quiet when not full moon in a nice way but the town is run down. Haad Rin beach is beautiful though. Saw quite a few families which was nice. Rented our bike from here and explored the island for a few days. We were planning on 2 nights but changed plans and left after 1 as there is nothing to do on the town but look at shops. One temple to visit if wanted. Wish we hadn’t stayed the one night! Ok for a transfer through to the islands but nothing more in our opinion. I choose to stay in Bann Tai for its central location.
