The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, always ready with a smile and quick to assist with any request. The resort's location in the heart of the bustling bazaar made it convenient for shopping, and having a doctor and pharmacy just two minutes away added an extra layer of convenience and peace of mind. The beauty of the place is simply breathtaking, with numerous spots for relaxation and enjoyment. The nightlife was vibrant, offering everything one could desire, and access to the resort from anywhere was remarkably easy. For families, the resort offered a plethora of activities for children, along with special kid-friendly meals at the restaurant. Every day brought new and exciting activities to participate in, ensuring there was never a dull moment. I particularly appreciated the 24/7 availability of food and services, which meant that even late at night, any request was met promptly and with enthusiasm from the attentive service team. Alanya is beautiful.
Alanya is beautiful. Cleopatra Beach is beautiful with its nice waves and warm water. It is safe and affordable. Here are some travel tips: For dinner go to Cafe Local, and small family own spots. Don’t go to the big restaurants they cost too much, and the food isn’t all that great. I was disappointed. For excursions, go to Suluada Island, go to the 3 in 1 Sapadere water falls and cave trip. The water fights were surprisingly fun, also spend a morning riding the teleferik to the castle. Best of all, spend as much time as possible at Cleopatra Beach. Getting around Alanya was easy. 5th time in Side.
5th time in Side. Much quieter this year and prices definitely increasing. It’s dominated by all inclusive hotels, so the beaches are packed during the day but the main walkway to the old town is pretty quiet. Restaurant choices good but everywhere seems to charge a standard price for food, no matter the type of restaurant, Lots of shopping, local goods and of course fakes. Kas is a quaint, characteristic town but very hilly. Beautiful artisan shops in old town. Quality of restaurants was excellent. We did the boat trip to Kekova which was magical. The hotels in Belek are beautiful and well-maintained, and the Land of Legends is definitely worth visiting. The beach is also clean and enjoyable. Be cautious with taxis and small shops that don’t display prices. There are many scams – I once forgot to ask the price for a glass of orange juice and ended up paying $10! Kalkan is a great location for those who enjoy good food and the sea. Almost everyone can speak English and it caters for everyone. A great place for foodies!! Most villas have pools so it’s nice to chill back at the villa but also head out to the beaches. The prices are not Turkish prices which is a shame so be prepared to pay home (UK) prices but with a sea view and good service. It’s easy enough to jump in a taxi and get to the centre so it doesn’t matter if you stay either side of Kalkan. If you want to head a bit further out, Kekova (Sunken City) is just over an hour, Patara Beach is about 20 mins and Kas is lovely to walk around or catch a day trip to one of the Greek Islands. There are a number of beach clubs across Kalkan that vary in service and price but would recommend Zest and Kalamar Beach Club. Both offer very different experiences but a nice way to spend a day. Boat tours are a nice way of getting away for the day too with daily boat trips available both privately and as joint groups.
